I have both an Tab S9 Plus and an iPad Pro. I have to admit that DEX on the S9 Plus is an amazing thing to have and allows me to skip using my laptop for most things. With DEX, pretty much any app can be added to the multi window format. I've become so addicted to my S9 Plus that I find myself not using the iPad Pro unless I need to badly charge my S9 Plus, which usually doesn't take long as I have a 45 W charger that will add 50% battery in a little over 30 minutes. I also find the S-Pen a lot more comfortable and effective than the Apple pencil. Being able to write in OneNote and Samsung Notes is a game changer for me.
Thanks for your comment. I'm interested in either one for reading academic PDFs and books. Which screen do you find is best for text, and which screen has less glare?
@@squatch545 I definitely find the S9+ better for reading PDFs. Samsung makes the best screens in the business. If you look at the S9+ and the iPad Pro side-by-side, it's very clear that the S9+ is on a different level in terms of clarity and color differentiation. I also use an app called Xodo to markup PDFs, and it works great. I also have Xodo on my Surface Pro, so if I need to do anything on my Windows laptop, I can continue editing with Xodo from my S9+ to my Windows laptop. I find that the S-pen works better than the Apple pencil for note taking. The Apple pencil seems like more of a drawing tool to me. The best part is that the S-pen is included free with the S9+. You have to purchase the Apple pencil separately with an iPad Pro purchase. A year or so ago, when I was still a grad student, I had an S7+, and it was what I used almost explicitly for PDF reading and note taking. You simply can't go wrong with a Samsung OLED screen.

I look forward to your comparisons, they've become part of my morning routine. I have to say, though, that the Dex capability on Samsung products is a killer feature that I'm envious of.
but of course Stage Manager also works perfectly without an external display. Allowing you to open multiple apps at once (I go 4 at most) and still have room for a video. Wether you keep the bar visible is up to you.
DEX is a game changer for me and the main reason for buying the samsung. Also I just sit in the Samsung / Android camp generally. Ipad looks amazing too though
I would complain the ultra 9 to the iPad 12.9 and the tabs9+ to the iPad Pro 11, then the s9 to the iPad Air as that would make more sense to me but seeing they all have the same chip as for the tad s9 series.
being the owner of both a tab s9 and an iPad pro I have to admit that I do prefer the iPad's aspect ration. When you use the Samsung tablets in landscape they feel incredibly cramped, particularly when trying to do some work. I do like dex on the Samsung tablet though it's very neat.
Great video and I love your content as you are very honest and neutral when comparing these 2 big brands and I love that. I love my Galaxy 9 Ultra and take it with me everywhere. BTW, where do you get the wallpapers from for these tablets? Is there a download link for them?
Okay so I have a question as a future buyer, does: i5 256 Gb storage (SSD) 16 Gb RAM 1080p At 400€ is over paying ? Or not, and do you guys have link or alternative with less RAM but would can je changed to reached 16Gb RAM for a lower price
The versus from Samsung and Apple is pretty boring though for consumers this is good. However, apple knows no android manufacture will compete with their sales
Fun fact, if you go with the S8 Ultra with it's 14.6" screen, the ultra is(*horizonally*) the same height as the 12.9" Pro, and about 2-ish inches wider. I loved my Ultra, but for some reason got rid of it and now i'm using an M1 Air. I still miss the Ultra.
Is the screen difference too big talking about quality and not size. I was thinking about changing my s9+ and buy the air 5 due to apps availability.... but hate to leave the amoled display and cant afford the pro miniled
I am considering to buy a tablet. I am a student, who primarily needs the tablet for note taking and reading pdf. I have a laptop (windows), and I code a lot. So, i also need the second screen functionality. I was considering to buy S9 plus before, because I heard that the Ipad's Sidecar does not work with windows. Also, i like the file manager functionality of android a lot. Plus it is ip68 water proof. But then I saw that i could buy Duet and have my Ipad connect to my PC. Plus, Ipad has better performance and it is more future proof. I dont know whether Ipad will face compatibility issue with my Samsung phone and Windows Laptop, such as while transferring files. I also have a brand bias towards Samsung. I dont want that to effect my decision making. So, which should I get?
Hi, hope you and your team is doing good. My question is about ipad pro 12.9 I noticed that it's camer quality is not up to the mark and photos are grainy and screen flickering at slow motion recording. Is this because of any camer setting issue or lightning conditions ? Did you face or notice same issue with the ipad you have. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated, Thanks :).
Just switched from 11" M1 IPad Pro to tab S9+, Tab S9+ was better for media consumption and entertainment , but no note taking app on Android can beat goodnote on IPadOs ( The goodnote app on android suck). So IMO IPad Pro is still better for productivity. Magic keyboard feels better than smart keyboard as well.
@@khanhnhatlu Yep, Samsung note is decent, 85% of the goodnote on IOS.I hate that I can't navigate through pdf outline with the app, and I can't import some of my textbook into the app(You can't import some pdf with copyright into Samsung Note).Flexcil was closer to goodnote imo. I just wish I can merge the good of those two app.The interface on goodnote is just a ease to use on my old Ipad.
Apple iPads would go bankrupt if Samsung were to have exclusive deals with productivity app devs just like Apple lol. it wins in most aspect like storage, easier file management, better display and aspect ratio? But why did I still buy the iPad? Because of the productivity apps which really gave the edge to apple
@@seeker19030productivity apps? Think a better wording is dedicated exclusive apps for Apple. If only all apps were transfers to SAMSUNG only then we could’ve had a better competition
I’ve got the iPad Pro 11 m2, and I use noteshelf 3. I think that the writing experience is better. But on android, I think the best option is Samsung notes. I wanted to ask you, for long hours of note taking: is the spen better that the Apple Pencil 2?
My big issue is while watching movies the s9+ is superior. But I love taking photos, and photos are in 4:3. So when viewing them on ipad it fills thr whole screen and seems huge. Where as with Samsung I feel in landscape mode since it's not as wide your giving up alot of size to your photos.
I hate the aspect ratio/form factor of every single ("new") Android tablet. They're meant to be used in one orientation only and that sucks so hard, especially if you want to use the tablet for anything other than watching movies/youtube/netflix. 4:3 is still the best format for a tablet and I wish Samsung would go back to it as well, the Tab S2 mini was and still is my favorite android device.
I have a question when it comes to screen brightness - is there a big difference between the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra? Well, I'm thinking about buying a Galaxy Tab S9+ or a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. I often watch movies on a tablet in the car and that's why I need a bright screen
I have the iPad Pro late 2020. In my use case, I use my iPad exclusively for music production. 99% of all music production apps are made for the iPad because Auv3 is the current industry standard. There are a few apps that get ported to Android but not enough to make me want to switch. i0s forever.
@@TechGearTalk Not surprised, rather disappointed. I'm invested in the Samsung ecosphere and like to have a LOT of lossless music. The MicroSD storage option with Samsung is also a string advantage. High capacity microSD cards for a Samsung tablet are MUCH cheaper than higher memory capacity iPads.
I own both a Samsung S7+ and and iPad Air5, and have the first party keyboards for both. I agree, the quality build and the typing experience is way better on the magic keyboard. Not that the Samsung doesn't get the job done- it does, but it feels flimsy compared to apples.
Love your videos, keep up the good work! Currently I'm thinking of upgrading to either ipad 10 gen or samsung galaxy tab s9 FE. A comparison of both devices from you will be much appreciated. Thank you!!
well the TB4 vs usb3.2 might sound in theory 4 times faster however you will hardly find devices which make use of it and on top of it if you write/read from/to a SD-card you will not be bottlenecked here. so i do not think you need more than 10gb/s which is around 1GiB/s
can someone explain what the best tab is for medical student? because though essential apps like goodnotes comes with Samsung now its lacs with some features like ai. does it really affect for the productivity please someone explain 😔
I think the Tab S9+ sounds better .I love Samsung displays looks and shows more colors. The cameras on the front video your skin looks the same as your video but the Apple has you looking red or orange.
The only thing that makes me keep using ipad (the only apple product currently I still have) is apps like pro create, the only thing that stop me from go back to galaxy tab despite the hardware and included accessories are good is most apps somewhat like the clones of what ipad os have.
Bro I'm an Android user but I want the ipad pro badly, is it going to be a problem to use Android phone and Apple tab at the same time? My main motive is note taking but I don't like the S9 Plus body ratio , ipad is like a A4 paper ❤
Not a problem as far as my experience, I'm owning ipad from the start (og ipad) till now and never own or interested to have an iphone. But YMMV, since I treat my ipad and android as separated system, I never need to exchange note between the two system, all files saved in cloud gdrive and ms one-drive and both system can access it. @@Dr.L-69

I bought tne tab 9 and I'm not happy. I kept saying "I'm so smart, I will not pay Apple prices". I'm quite disillusioned. The lack of responsiveness of the screen is a disaster. Some times I have to press the cursor bar 4 times to get there (like for writing this comment). The keyboard is lousy; too many mistakes. Some apps don't work. Face recognition is useless un,essentially you pose passport style. Fingerprint unlocks sometimes, on other ocations you can go till it makes you jse the pin, which is super frustrating. As you can see, the spell Hecker perfectly to.erates multiple,e mistakes. I have tried changing the samsung keyboard for the google keyboard and it's still won't work.. I find myself going back to my first generation Ipad pro Just out of fr 0:23 ustration of so many mistakes. The screen is very good end the note taker is good Not great. Apple’s iPads cost as much as gaming PC’s. And don’t forget Apple is raising their prices on their new OLED models by hundreds of dollars. 😅 I just got the S9+ for $350 dollars less than the current iPad Pro with same configuration! Crazy. And did I mention I get a stylus with the S9+ and not with Apple?
Every time you compare Samsung and Apple tablets, I find the screen ratio Apple sticks with to be way better for productivity. Samsung's approach is better for media consumption but at the end of the day, these high-end tablets should run a few productivity apps side by side. iPad looks much better no matter it's one app or multiple apps spanning its display. Other than that, both tablets are so powerful, the choice is up to the user's favorite operating system/ecosystem.
Hi! I really enjoy your video comparisons. I get a really good idea of devices I'm interested while I'm doing research on which to buy. I was wondering if you tried the Surface Pro 9 and what you would compare it to.
I’ll take your word on the screen but what was it that you didn’t like on the iPad? I’m needing a tablet that I can take me everywhere and gets the job done or slots of things done. School, work, at home entertainment
Apple provides great support? I have an almost new ipad mini from about 8 years ago and it doesn't open youtube.. i need to upgrade the OS but... it doesnt suppprt the latest OS... great support, turning products into garbage. Samsung just works.

DEX is a game changer for me and the main reason for buying the samsung. Also I just sit in the Samsung / Android camp generally. Ipad looks amazing too though
Dex really is a nice feature. I appreciate you sharing your perspective. Thank you for being part of the channel!
Apple calls this = Sidecar
Samsung calls this = Second screen "makes sense''
I would complain the ultra 9 to the iPad 12.9 and the tabs9+ to the iPad Pro 11, then the s9 to the iPad Air as that would make more sense to me but seeing they all have the same chip as for the tad s9 series.
being the owner of both a tab s9 and an iPad pro I have to admit that I do prefer the iPad's aspect ration. When you use the Samsung tablets in landscape they feel incredibly cramped, particularly when trying to do some work. I do like dex on the Samsung tablet though it's very neat.
I am realy confused to chose between s9 plus and ultra
Which is the first tablet i will buy
Any suggation ???
Galaxy tab S10 plus or iPad Pro m4? for mainly watching movies, which has the more accurate display? as in color accuracy
Great video and I love your content as you are very honest and neutral when comparing these 2 big brands and I love that. I love my Galaxy 9 Ultra and take it with me everywhere. BTW, where do you get the wallpapers from for these tablets? Is there a download link for them?
Possibly, but just go to themes and there's a bunch you can get for free or buy.
for multi-tasking, you forgot to mention the iPad Pro’s “Stage Manager,” which allows for multiple resizeable overlapping windows.
I believe it’s mentioned. I’ll double check.
Okay so I have a question as a future buyer, does:
i5
256 Gb storage (SSD)
16 Gb RAM
1080p
At 400€ is over paying ? Or not, and do you guys have link or alternative with less RAM but would can je changed to reached 16Gb RAM for a lower price
The versus from Samsung and Apple is pretty boring though for consumers this is good. However, apple knows no android manufacture will compete with their sales
Just sucks that both tablets has one advantage over the other that you’d probably need to have both.
Could you upload a tab s8+ vs tab s9+ video? That would be very helpful!
Added to the list. Thank you for the suggestion.
Thank you for responding!
Love the vids
This is exactly what I've been searching for! This content is gold! - "Challenges are the stepping stones to self-discovery.."
I was originally gonna get the Tab S9 Ultra, but I think I'll still with the S9+ instead.
Just switched from 11" M1 IPad Pro to tab S9+,
Tab S9+ was better for media consumption and entertainment , but no note taking app on Android can beat goodnote on IPadOs ( The goodnote app on android suck). So IMO IPad Pro is still better for productivity. Magic keyboard feels better than smart keyboard as well.
Samsung note is actually great!
There are a few apps that get ported to Android but not enough to make me want to switch. i0s forever.
good for you
Ugh this is so frustrating if only all iOS apps were in android then I wouldn’t care which tablet I would buy
*THE* biggest disadvantage of the Samsung is its lack of something akin to Apple's Magic Keyboard. You have to settle for crappy Chinese substitutes.
Are you surprised that there aren't more 3rd party options.
Samsung has the Book Cover for most of their tablets, almost guaranteed to be compatible with the more expensive tablets.
@@FiestaRed The Samsung book cover is not in the same league as the Apple Magic Keyboard.
I own both a Samsung S7+ and and iPad Air5, and have the first party keyboards for both. I agree, the quality build and the typing experience is way better on the magic keyboard. Not that the Samsung doesn't get the job done- it does, but it feels flimsy compared to apples.
Im looking for a good Tablet. The Samsung tablet can you screenshot and add any app to it?
Love your videos, keep up the good work! Currently I'm thinking of upgrading to either ipad 10 gen or samsung galaxy tab s9 FE. A comparison of both devices from you will be much appreciated. Thank you!!
Excellent as usual
Keep up
well the TB4 vs usb3.2 might sound in theory 4 times faster however you will hardly find devices which make use of it and on top of it if you write/read from/to a SD-card you will not be bottlenecked here. so i do not think you need more than 10gb/s which is around 1GiB/s
Is there some setting in google that allows you to turn on Google play card because I look and can't find anything
What is the name of that material (paper) for viewing circuits? Thank you
I have been using ipad air 4 and samsung tab s8. Samsung have so many hidden features that very useful.
Which is more practical for an 11 year old,
A tab s9 plus
Or
A tab s9 ultra
def s9 plus. S9 ultra is too big unless it's for a laptop replacement
@@zanetaa Tysm
The regular S9 is more than enough imo for an 11 year old
can someone explain what the best tab is for medical student? because though essential apps like goodnotes comes with Samsung now its lacs with some features like ai. does it really affect for the productivity please someone explain 😔
Hello I’m late but I’m wondering if you have bought a tablet yet. iOS or the Samsung one. I need one for field study
@@faccezitCroc still not my friend. But the chances are higher for buying iOS.
Where can i find the wallpapers used on these tablets?
+1
I think the Tab S9+ sounds better .I love Samsung displays looks and shows more colors. The cameras on the front video your skin looks the same as your video but the Apple has you looking red or orange.
Apple quality is brutal. I am on my 3rd in less than 2 years. Time to try Samsung.
Excellent man! Helped making my decision on buying the Samsung one.
So glad I could help! Thank you for being part of the channel!
Does s9+ has sim card slot on it or just the sd card?
Where can I get the wallpaper your using in this video
Should I buy Samsung s7+ or s9 Fe +
@@Dr.L-69
@@Dr.L-69I have the tab s9 and use an iPhone 13, you lose the air drop advantage and thats all, you should use drive or any cloud for sharing files... few seconds and two more steps more, not so much to worry about.
Ughhhh I should had bought a new Ipad.
Apple’s iPads cost as much as gaming PC’s. And don’t forget Apple is raising their prices on their new OLED models by hundreds of dollars. 😅
I just got the S9+ for $350 dollars less than the current iPad Pro with same configuration! Crazy. And did I mention I get a stylus with the S9+ and not with Apple?
Hello, Wallpaper?
Is the Tab S9 tablet cellular compatible? Or is it a wifi-only tablet?
It in the US. But internationally it looks like there are 5G models
Can u make a review about tab s9 fe and compare it to like the s7 fe or older tab models or the flagship s9's
where do you get those wallpapers?
Waste of money!! Both are. I would rather buy a mac/pc for the same price. And a midranger tablet cos in the end of the day, it’s still not a computer
You should try the Lenovo Tab Extreme, it's like an S9 Ultra with a Magic Keyboard, I love mine.
good ideas with poor quality and pathetic firmware...
You say that you choose ipad when gaming for big screen but in Samsung you have more view
Portrait mode camera comparisons missing
iPad has the slightest better sound
This is not a good comparison, you should compare top end model with another top end model. S9 ultra is the real competitor to iPad 12.9"
That comparison is on the channel as well.
@@TechGearTalk thanks, will check it out
Both OLED displays are probably made by Samsung.
no mention of lack of apps optimised android tablet os
It’s mentioned.
How can I get the wallpaper?
Yooo you were watching the justice league series. Thats one of my favorites.
Goo eyes!!! Thank you for being part of the channel!
We need those wallpapers !
Would love to see you compare the new samsung s9 FE with tab s8.
Coming soon
what is the screen brightness of samsung
What is the song name ?
The ultra is bigger?
Yes
Hi! I really enjoy your video comparisons. I get a really good idea of devices I'm interested while I'm doing research on which to buy.
I was wondering if you tried the Surface Pro 9 and what you would compare it to.
I take take ipad pro because of the better chip and charging brick cones with in the box and i like wider screen.
I’ll take your word on the screen but what was it that you didn’t like on the iPad? I’m needing a tablet that I can take me everywhere and gets the job done or slots of things done. School, work, at home entertainment
Why arent you uploading since 3 weeks because you dont take 3 weeks to up load a video
Apple provides great support? I have an almost new ipad mini from about 8 years ago and it doesn't open youtube.. i need to upgrade the OS but... it doesnt suppprt the latest OS... great support, turning products into garbage. Samsung just works.
@:44 Only the Samsung tablets are IP68 rated, iPads are not IP rated at all.
Correct. That is what I said. “Both the tab S9 and the S Pen have an ip68 rating”
@@TechGearTalk Dang, I missed that you was talking about the tablet and the pen. I apologize I needed to pay better attention, in my mind I was thinking both tablets.
Can you please review budget tablet like Samsung S9 Fe?
But they said iPads are dying tho.

Sorry, had to stop watching, the background music was competing with your voice, and was hard to listen to even with CC.
Please review the one plus pad and compare with iPad and Samsung tab
Please compare oneplus pad 2 and samsung galaxy tab s9 plus
Samsung sound quality really amazing❤
Compare the Samsung tab s8 between the new S9 FE
I had the 9+ for exactly one day. There aren’t enough pro apps on android and the tablet is wide af. The s pen feels actually better but is quite small and could lead to cramps. Display is stunning for consuming media.
I’d take an 11 inch iPad Pro with OLED over everything else!! I can’t wait for a proper Panel on the 11 pro
