I'm convinced a lot of these canvases are told by producers to be a little difficult to challenge the artists tbh
While I can see how that canvas kinda messed up. In the end her tattoo was bad but I honestly will always wonder how it would’ve looked if she got the 2nd canvas from the start.
I actually really like Elishaba’s tattoo. Imagine had she had time to actually finish and get all of the color and things in.
Would still look bad. If she would have listened to the canvas versus trying to push her idea, she could have designed something better
@@Blee48 Well even the judges liked her tattoo design, they just didn't like that she didn't finish (and it was their fault that she didn't finish)

It may be the editing but I hate when the other artist are smirking when someone is getting a bad critique.
I have a feeling it’s intentionally inflammatory editing to push narratives and add drama to the story.
Kyle Dunbar said during his season, they would film them doing different reactions and they would be edited into the episodes.
Elishaba literally didn’t have the time the other artists had though??? So when she said “I WANTED to do more” they should’ve been considerate and given her another chance.

she had a good design and showed detail in what was finished..the drippings were great. I wish she'd stayed , she had potential.

@@ella-sj8bu in competition shows that’s definitely how it works! But in the real world that never would’ve flown, and I think they should pose real world exceptions since they’re throwing real world contingencies at people.

I’m sorry but Elisheba should have been added over Matt and Carolyn to me. That tattoo she did was great. The other ones I saw in that episode weren’t. And ngl I liked Raphael’s tattoo. If I had to pick who should try out for ink master again it is those two to me because they’re great artists.
And it also pisses me the hell off Carolyn got sent home over Tito in the Medusa challenge. Whether he did better on the first day or not, his was 10x worse than her’s and his ass should’ve been sent home immediately because he was in the bottom every time.
Last thing, I actually liked Ryan’s peacock tattoo. Unfinished or not, I wouldn’t mind wearing her’s, and like Tito, Gia was in the bottom every time and I think she maybe should have been sent home over Geary because her work was way worse than Geary’s in my opinion.
The forehead eye dripping with color looked pretty good to me. Sure you could point out some flaws, but it looked like a cool tattoo. Especially in comparison to the others that also got eliminated.

@@rosegold973 typically survivors of SA or other sorts of assault will get Medusa tattooed as a sign of overcoming and strength

You would think a tattoo artist would work on some of the art basics, like anatomy, color theory, design, lighting and shading.

Why do we hear only the voice of one of the judges but he's never shown? Just curious...
The judge you’re hearing but not seeing is Oliver Peck. He was exposed for participating in racially insensitive activities including blackface. Since this news broke out, Ink Master has attempted to edit him out of their highlights/review clips but they keep his commentary because the show would lose a significant portion of content and context without it. Peck can still be seen in the Paramount+ episodes.

I actually love the sunflower 🌻 tattoo even though there's nothing watercolor about it....😍. Also the tattoo that Elishaba did was dope a.f.! I'm mostly a black and grey girl, but i would totally wear the awesome tattoo she did ❤

I loved Elisheba’s tattoo! I would so get that, maybe a different hair shape, just because of personal preference, but otherwise it was so sick! Pissed nobody took her

It’s mostly free for the cavas to get the tattoo
They are free, even the finale pieces where they’re giant back pieces or full sleeves, it’s pretty disrespectful to me sometimes that they come in very picky & don’t want work that follows the challenge, it’s obvious they just want a high quality tattoo that’d cost thousands of dollars if it was done in a regular shop for free

Sometimes these "worst" tattoos look sooo good to me. Then the judges trash them and I'm look, "Oh. I thought I liked it. I guess...I don't?"

there seems to be no consistency as to when back up canvases are supplied. elishebas ideas and design were poo poo, but for DEI reasons she was given a 2nd canvas.

Watch other eps. Numerous people (some of whom were white), have been given second canvasses.
Watched this season a few times… I really did not like Nikki… she was disrespectful and her mouth made her ugly… disgusting she got as far as she did disrespecting people in the industry for years b4 her… I was glad that she left she should’ve left sooner. Any one that disrespects people the way she did should’ve been gone.
I felt like she got kept around because Chris Nunez was tryna hit.
People are ruining their bodys with tattoo's. I got some when i was just a boy. Id give anything if i hadnt got them. I dont know why people try to make their body a Museum. Parents use to get mad at their kids for drawing on their arms with an ink pen. why is it grown ups are acting like a bunch of Kids drawing on them selves. lol Why does anyone want tattoo's on their body? Honestly. Does it make you feel better about your self? Is it to draw attention to your self? I wish i knew why? Anyone want to answer?

It’s called expressing yourself. Just like dying your hair or getting piercings and wearing jewellery. Just because you hated yours doesn’t mean it’s suddenly the worst thing you could do to yourself. Get yours lasered off if you’re so pissed about them. They’re probably pretty faded already judging by how you’re speaking.

My self i think a women is beautiful just the way she is. I hate tattoo's on a women. Makes her look more masculine. I love the way a women looks without tattoo's she more feminine looking. When i look at a women i dont want to see pictures on her body i want to see her.
