Badenoch lied to Parliament about the disgraceful policy of witholding compensation to subpostmasters, evidenced by the fact that no one has received any compensation. She is far too nasty to be seen as a viable leader of a government and it would be a big mistake for the Tories to choose her- but then the Tories are very good at making enormous mistakes.

The state of the UK says it all.
The UK is in serious trouble and I fear changing the government will not fix it.
The economy is what is important and our industry and manufacturing have been decimated and will be almost impossible to recover as we witness the rise of China and India as well as other parts of the World.
      Brexit was a huge mistake.
The corruption during Covid was seen and reflected the rotten core of the Tory Government.
The damage done since the 2008 financial crisis is also plain to see where printed money was dished out at zero %, I.e. free money given to the banks for them to spend as they so wished and boy did they make hay on the Markets and lending it out….the result was Inflated property prices as the buy to lets jumped in and the Markets exploded as DEBT was king.
This all happened under the Tories.
Today the UK is seriously in DEBT everywhere!
inflation is upon us and if Sterling is allowed to fall again then we are well and and truly stuffed.
The UK is at a cliff edge about to fall off.
What can a new Labour Government do, I ask, other than print money and raise taxes?

@@jeremykille4689, no, not anymore. That was only true when there was social mobility and opportunity. Check the charts, the cope that people get more conservative as they age hasn't been true since the Torys punished every other generation in favour of the old.
