Baritone Cult-Just ordered mine from my VK rep Patrick, they got me with the clean dotted 8th notes. Was going to order the reverb pedal but want to see how if its a quality build like Origin effects. Cheers from Michigan
I can't wait to hear this pedal A/B'd with the actual units for comparison. It's hard to beat the value of having these delay's in one box if they sound really close to the real deal.
Sounds great. 400 us so 511 Canadian plus tax 600 CDN, bit high. But then again I paid that price for a mint in box late 80s or early 90s deluxe memory man last year exactly like the one at the beginning of the video
@Joe McGlynn I saw your comment about spillover and wondered if this makes sense. If one preset was set to infinite repeats and you switch to the second preset you could play over that, so basically it could be a really nice tool for sound on sound explorations.
I have a feeling they are barely getting started and they will expanding the line and create whole ecosystem which hopefully includes a midi controls/pedal, etc.
Love the idea however I can just get the same tone and delay out of my twin x. Seems like a pointless product unless they upload more effects. I feel as if they just slapped a DSP chip in and called it a new product. I can also switch through the presents faster in console.
i love UA stuff but idk about the pedals. they sound good and i’m sure they’re built super well but i can’t imagine they’d be any better than a dd20. or a strymon, if you wanna spend big money on a digital delay.
@@afterglow2020 Someone who gets it. So much whining about this pedal price wise, but none of those people have ever used a UAD plugin in their life. Universal Audio don't mess around.
@@afterglow2020 Not really a fair comparison. Should be compared to digital modeling units. Or even hybrid like the Belle Epoch And of course if you buy an EP, DMM and another pedal you could use them all at once (OTOH the EP and DMM have 1 Delay line each, not a stereo pair).
Dunno. If I was out for my 1st delay unit I’d look at this one verlo closely... lack of a decent amount of presets and MiDi sync (or at least able setting the exact bpm) is what I miss here.
I don’t think this pedal deserves to be $399!!! Sounds easily replicated with pedals less than this. Great device yes 👍 but for that price ooof come on soil rich kid stuff right there xD
Creative playing and good run-through of the sounds available, Dustin. Thanks for posting.
EXCELLENT demo guys! Fantastic overview of the pedal and great creative uses of it.
Super nice demo, thank you.
Amazing tones. And, good ol' Buckethead,…. Big Sur Moon!

Sold.

Yep!
say what you want but this sounds much more realistic than those analog circuits in pedals trying to mimic tape or other sounds.
I would probably start with big sur moon on this pedal too, nice!
Great demo!
Hoping that universal are working toward an integrated modeller, really exited about the sounds in these pedals. Cheers
Damn you sold me on it when you started by playing some Buckethead!
Good demomstration, thanks
Can you save presets without buying a footswitch?
Cracking demo
I’m getting one.
Already have Volante. and a Timeline and a million plugins- enough is enough.
Came for the guitar, stayed for the synth.
Sounding a little like the Edge with that delay and echos.
I have a feeling they are barely getting started and they will expanding the line and create whole ecosystem which hopefully includes a midi controls/pedal, etc.
If they sell well they really should allow midi via the usb in the future
They look super well made and sound awesome im struggling to keep my wallet closed 😭
Are these made from a block of metal? They sure look like it.
👍
Sounds really good, that price though 😩

can't use your twin x on a pedalboard at a gig tho -
What do you think of the analog DMM modeling?
Not everyone has a Twin X, Mr. Smart

Love the sounds. But four hundo? Not for me
A digital pedal without midi, only a single preset, and a 400 dollar price tag? hard pass :|
Or you could look at it this way: You could buy an EP clone, a DMM, and a digital delay, spend more than $400, and still not have midi or presets.

you dont need midi for a pedal, that like using a PC to control your lawnmower.

Sounds nice but I feel UAD dropped the ball on this one. I’m a huge UAD fan no less but no way am I justifying $400 for this.

Which pedals? Save me some money.
One preset??? Bummer, looks great otherwise!
@Joe McGlynn I’d use that to have active delay fx though... :-)
