Hey! We've talked before, but I saw this AMV live at Anime Los Angeles once again and just reminded me of how clean and amazing your editing is! (Voted for you for "Best Action" btw ^u^). I really want to talk with you sometime about editing tips and such! What kind of transitions did you mainly use here?
Hi! Thanks for the appreciation as well as the vote! For the transitions, I primarily used Cross Dissolve with different "Look" settings on the basis of the lighting of the scenes, as well as Simple Blur with 25-50% blurring. On top of this, I added some scaling around the transition stages to be able to accomplish the desired effect. I don't have the project on hand with me (consumed loads of space - I remove projects once I am done editing), otherwise I would have gone into further detail. On a sidenote, do you happen do know what videos won the various categories? I'd love to watch them!
Ah I see! Never really messed with the settings of the transitions much. Haven't made a proper AMV in nearly a year and I'm planning to come back to it once I get my laptop some extra RAM cards. And results for the winners haven't come out surprisingly, but I have the physical ballot of the videos.
+AzukanoAMVs RAM really helps. I'm maxed out/can't add any. Tweaking the transitions really lets you do some nice fine tuning. So do give it shot in some of your edits, which of course I shall look forward to!
