Hi Michel, not my best work, I'm afraid I've been poorly with covid, I had to do something or I would have gone mad. All should be clear on the next video, I hope,... cheers
@@Thesheddweller your whiteboard had great drawings of the individual parts , but not how they all go together... makes for a bit of suspense in the video series. :) No harm done!
Very interesting. I too have constructed a Steady Rest for a South Bend 13. I took a different approach, making the outer ring from two pieces of plate steel. It turned out well and I get a lot of positive interest on Instagram. Looking forward to part 2. Thanks
Hello Paul, I liked your video on the auto retracting threading attachment so much that I watched it about six times. Today, a RUclips channel called ‘swap lamp’ posted a video showing an alternative solution. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this approach. Best regards. Mike
Hi Mike, I visited the RUclips channel and I can’t find the video you mentioned. I saw one video where he used a jet stop lathe, but I can’t find the video showing a version of the retracting thread cutter. Regards
Looking good so far.
Steve.
Not sure I completly understand your plan on the whiteboard, but that's not a problem. I'm sure I will get it in your next video :)

Hi, you're welcome, glad you enjoyed.
Great Content Paul!! "Many Thanks"
I'm with Michel. I didn't quite get the plan either... So I am looking forward to seeing the next installment.
I'll try to do better next time, I blame covid... I'll try and do better.

I think I get it.
You're a cleverer man than me by getting metric and BSF threads to work together, impressive knowledge!
Hi, the pitch similarity doesn't really matter, I chose similar pitches because it looks better on video. I hope part two is clearer. cheers
Very nice video sir. Quality work and kept it interesting.
Hi, thanks, cheers
Very nice work. I need one as well. Will have to make one soon
