- I wish I had magical words to bring her back. I wish somehow, I was in the city that morning looking up and found a way to stop her. I am always in the Port Authority area when I am in the city. I guess that's why it bothers me so much. I never knew Cheslie, but it saddens me deeply that this beautiful, kind, and caring, young woman, who did so much good for those marginalized by society, took her life. I wish I had words to ease the unimaginable pain her friends, and family must be feeling. I wish Cheslie was still with us. She was loved by so many.
Whenever I see a shooting star, I will think of Cheslie. Whenever I am in the city, before I take the last bus home from Port Authority, I will walk the block to where she lived, and say a prayer for Cheslie Kryst. Rest in peace Angel Cheslie.
I cringe when I see how far she jumped. It’s unimaginable. RIP beautiful 🌹

Yeah, one theory is that she was drugged, as in on some type of medication unless she lacked that natural fear of heights, like people who do rock climbing, etc. However, no evidence that she did that for recreation, etc. *Update: Correction... Looked at her Instagram a bit closer, she DID have a history of rock climbing and cliffs. So perhaps she was not afraid of heights...*

@@karenearle5507 She really has created a great mystery that even Sherlock Holmes couldn't figure out. How could someone with a seemingly perfect life and an unbelievable great future kill herself? Even if she had something seriously bothering her that should of been largely neutralized by the life she was living. Great friends, a career she said she loved, perfect health, beauty etc.

God bless Cheslie's beautiful soul. It takes guts to jump. Most people take pills or put their car in a garage, but I tell you what, that was not a chicken's way out. It just goes to show us, looks, money, status, career, those aren't the answers for lasting happiness. Simple pleasures are key. "Row, row, row your boat "gently down the stream." Life should flow & be easy, not a competition of goals hit every few years. Media, society, please start showing "simple lives" as being fulfilling & joyous.

I still try to get there when I am in New York, stand across the street and say a prayer for Cheslie. New York is a very cold city, especially for a warm open southern woman: The city must have been so hard for her. I wish somehow I was there that morning, somehow looked up and talked her out of it. I wish. So I say a prayer for her. It's all I can do. God be with you Cheslie.
@@geeo9990 It is so painfully sad. I pray for Cheslie too. This story remains heavy on my heart. But why did she chose to jump so high? What was she thinking? What causes one to take their own life? I know it's depression but what makes someone like Cheslie go up 29 storeys and look down and jump in that moment?
My idea of luxury would be a nice home surrounded by green grass and a big backyard to hold family gatherings. This big a$$ building is nothing but a luxury concrete prison.
As someone from NY, it is difficult to live here when it's cold & dreary in the winter. On top of it, it's likely dangerous to live alone and isolated. Also, I personally have had to avoid people due to pandemic & other safety issues because in NY, there are strangers who physically & dangerously follow you on your way home. Be mindful of your own thoughts and be careful out there especially the vulnerable population.
I feel much the same way as you. Even though I did not know of her until I learned of her passing, I have learned so much about her since then. I wish there was a way to turn back time and prevent her from taking her own life.

I would like to know if cameras are around that caught her jumping. I'm sure there are! I would not like to see her hit the pavement but just proof she jumped on her own. That is a painful way to end it all. I guess she didn't want to take pills or shoot herself. Lord have mercy. Was life that bad in her head! We put unrealistic expectations on ourselves that others do not have. For those reading this- Life is a gift! No it's not perfect! But we only get this one! Make it count! Do you and you will be fine. Cut out social media. It's not all real. Life is outside of the phones/computers/laptops etc. Get out and touch people who are lonely. The elderly people in nursing homes, foster care children, homeless people, etc.
Thank you for your comment. Yes, there are cameras everywhere there. NYPD is very thorough. The family must have asked the videos never to be shown. If the police, then release them they get sued. Cheslie sent a text to her mom immediately before, and also left a note, and NYPD, I know checked laptop, emails, all videos etc. They are extremely thorough. I don't ever want to see a video of her end. We have no right, and we must honor and respect a family wishes, a family that is in great pain.

As a gracious southern woman, she must have found NYC terribly cold. I wish I was in the area that morning. I wish somehow, I would have looked up, and found a way to stop her. I wish. Or like somebody said, *"Life is a gift, let God decide when to unwrap it"...* There was an authentic video caught of Cheslie hitting the pavement, however, absolutely NO video of her on any terraces or actually jumping. That video has been taken down, however, if you go deep you can possibly find it again. To be honest, she looked unconscious before hitting the pavement, due to no arm or leg movement. However, I would not be surprised if they have video of her leaving her condo and maybe walking down a hallway, etc. Just NO video of her actually jumping. So, I DON'T believe she consciously jumped off that building

4 yrs ago, I had my childhood friend kill herself after she reveal she was pregnant and she has hiv.I was very sad when heard this.

Very sad. Sickness is in my family bloodline and 3 aunties live with hiv for more than a decade. That too shall pass. Nothing is suppose to make us scared in this world. Will pray for you after our breakfast

it's always family dysfunctional that cause lot of torment and turmoil it's too much pressure on the kid when they are forced to be what they family expects of them and it can be very painful when they is not living up to their expectation , it is not uncommon there is also a lot of suicide in the medical field and other profession especially with foreign students,

I see there is a Starbucks next to the front entrance to her building. Even though she jumped at 7:15 on a Sunday morning I am sure Starbucks was open and people may have been coming out. Fortunately she didn't land on someone because that would of been instant death for the person.
The Starbucks appeared closed and out of business there. No one went in or out of the Starbucks door entrance. I was there for about two hours and saw no one enter or come of out of the Starbucks door during peak business hours. . . . I believe the police report said the time was earlier. (No one is walking around there on that block, on Sunday at that time, according to a person who lives in the immediate area) She did not want to hurt an innocent person. Please keep Cheslie's family and friends in your prayers. Thank you, sir.

@@gaylehoward4210 Exactly they showed the family all footages even her being in the elevator riding all the way to the 29th floor and getting out. Imagine her family seeing her jump my God. But the public is not privy to those images do you remember the Koby Bryant situation and his wife sued the Sherrif dept for showing us those images of all 9 bodies spread out on the ground. I still have that image in my head seeing that. So they cant show us the video only the family and the mom confirmed it.

How was she able to jump from that building, land in the street and not the sidewalk and no one run her over and no pedestrians witnessed the fall, no video? It doesn't make sense to me. RIP 🙏🏽
There are videos from other buildings but it’s not available for obvious reasons. May she RIP.

@@dorothyrobinson9202 the terrace she jumped from was only the 29th floor, that’s why she went there. There’s cameras all throughout that building so if something else happened it would have been seen. Everything isn’t a conspiracy.
Agreed. I know of a incident where someone jumped from the freeway bridge in la. Their body fell on a car. The street she passed was a 3 lane 1 way street with a park directly across the street On Google maps.

Thank God she did not do a murder suicide. She said she was close to her mom. She could have killed the whole family & then killed herself. Thank God she chose otherwise. Her mom &family has a lot to be grateful for😩💔💕💔

*Not to take anything away from your beautiful dedication to Cheslie, however 5 months later, still no surveillance video... So, upon careful analysis I am now coming to the conclusion that she DID NOT jump from that 29th Floor terrace? There was video captured by a nearby business of her hitting the pavement. She did not appear to have fallen 300ft.? More like 60 or 70ft from that lower 6th or 7th stories? Plus, she landed way out in the bus lane and not on the sidewalk. Plus, she appeared to be unconscious in that video before hitting the pavement. No arms flailing, etc. That video has since been scrubbed from the Internet, however, it really appeared to be 100% authentic due to matching landmarks, etc. So, her having appeared on the terrace may have just been a diversion or a rumor? Until they show video evidence she was up on that terrace, the theory of her jumping or dropping from another location can't be ruled out...*

@@Carolineressner There was a surveillance video taken by a nearby business of her striking the ground. The video was up about 3 weeks before it was then completely removed from all platforms displaying it. It has been said she was last seen up on the 29th where she allegedly jumped? However, NO surveillance video of her from on that Floor or even on her way to it has appeared. Only the leaked video of her striking the pavement. And in that video she appeared to be unconscious - no arm or leg movement, etc. And due to the way she hit the pavement and how little blood or other carnage resulted, one can logically conclude she did not fall from the 29th? Deductive reasoning...

I feel comfort in some kind of way that she was unconscious, that way she never felt anything. I think it all went so fast and she was very smart to know that. Gosh i feel so sorry for her that she could not find A way out.

@@Earthweep I've been in a Forum for the past couple of months discussing her case and one thing we have concluded is that she DID NOT kill herself due to age or getting old. That was just a minor cause for her death. Depression or something personal triggered her to go...
