I’m a new follower too but love your content. I’m a regular customer of Roman. Most of my wardrobe from there as I’m a 16-18. Met a lovely lady on holiday who currently works in a Roman shop. Apparently there is far more online than in the shops. Sorry to hear there’s been negative comments. Try not to let it get you down. Plenty more who like and support you. X

I have recently stumbled on your account. I’m a 70 year old size 16. My husband had MS and was wheelchair bound. So I always wore trousers as this was most convenient. Unfortunately I lost him 4 years ago. You have inspired me to get back into dresses. The tip about chub rub pants was a god send. You always look fabulous.

Thank you for this haul, we have a TJ Hughes’s in Liverpool which sell Roman originals at greatly reduced prices. Kim an co on qvc have lots of jumpsuits in a stretchy material that makes it so easy to go to the loo in, no wet tops lol. Keep the chats in it helps us get to know you and what you think of fit an material type. Your vlog was crystal clear today except for orchid add on x

Hi Veronica, thank you. The tan on my body is real.... I tan easily. My face however is not, I use tan drops. I can't remember the brand but I'll do a little video on that soon. xx

I have just bought my first Roman Original top. I love the fact that it has discount codes and free post and packing. I will look again some time online. It's worth a look sometime. (I don`t and never have worked for them) lol.

New subscriber here and I enjoy your chat, Helen. I have just made my first purchase from Roman Originals. I paid £22 with free post and packing so I was pleased. I washed it by hand as it had a slight `chemical` smell, line dried it and it`s good to wear now. I really liked dress number 5, very pretty colour.

I buy a lot from Roman Originals I like the tops they usually cover the bottom area. Their trousers are great come in sort lengths too. Love your videos

Just found your channel and enjoying your content, I’m about the same age and size as you so it’s nice to see different things that I wouldn’t normally try.. As regards to the chub rub shorts I’ve found a super product it’s called “Runglide” anti chafe Her. It’s sort of like a deodorant stick you twist it up to use and just apply to your inner thigh. A game changer no need to wear shorts just your ordinary underwear. I just keep it in my bag if I’m out and about just reapply as needed. Costs about £11 but my last stick lasted me 2 summers.

Hi Helen, Roman’s ‘occasion wear’ is worth a look, other than that I find their style a bit samey…. Your haircut looks great, I had mine cut in a similar style during the heatwave for exactly the same reasons. Fed up of the weight and headaches. Oh and your orchids are fabulous, I just trimmed mine after flowering. Fingers crossed they sprout again 😊

Someone has suggested using a dental floss brush to wipe some mascara off your big brush to use on your bottom lashes. Haven’t tried it myself yet but it sounds like a good idea. 💐💐

Roman clothing is a bit hit and miss with fabrics I have bought a few things over the years
I use a small dental brush and load it with mascara to apply to bottom lashes,,works brilliantly,

It’s funny someone else mentioned you switching sides and what I noticed was hair parted on different side or am I imagining things?? I like the blue chambray shirt and it can be worn as an open with tank top or as a shirt with turtleneck under - I agree on blue jumper - - good seeing you, as always!! 🌸💕

I have only been on the Hythe Ferry once and we walked down the pier. At the time it was free if you had an OAP bus pass and I was annoyed with myself for not having mine with me. I think now you have to pay but the trip over is very pleasant and for the workers going to Southampton it is a nice start to the day. As a commuter from Wallasey across the Mersey to Liverpool when I was young I did enjoy my daily boat ride.

Thank you for this video. I will never buy anything from Roman Originals as I recently ordered a dress which was no good for me.
The return process was a complete nightmare. I waited almost a month for my refund without success.
When I tried to ring them to ask where my money was, I had to wait in a phone queue for an hour before I was able to speak to someone.
They also keep a large fee for the return. I eventually received a half hearted apology for the delay. Definitely not a company to use.
Oh dear that doesn't sound good. Luckily I can take them to a store. x
Had similar experience, nothing wrong with the clothes but their return/ refund process is an absolute nightmare . Had to resort to taking them to small claims court when suddenly my refund appeared.

We have one of their shops near us and I agree that their sizes are on the small side. I loved the first two dresses on you and the green spotted one really suited. I really didn’t like the black dress

That’s where the waist is supposed to fit and I think it looks absolutely lovely on you .I’ve just made one like the black one and the gathering makes my hips look huge ,I’ve had to take most of the gathers out but not on you 👍

i love the chat too. I’ve bought Roman clothes lots of times and the sizing seemed ok I’m a typical size 16 and always found them a good fit, but, not bought any for about 3 years now, so maybe they are not so great now🤔 I did like that first dress on you it looked very nice, also that red one really did suit you not too join on the patterned green the top didn’t look quite right, not sure why don’t think it was anything to do with you, just the way it was made up in my opinion and the black one☹️ I think it was over powering you, and looked dowdy and you Helen, are very glamorous not dowdy. Hope you don’t mind my comments, that story about the jump suit I can definitely relate to, ha ha. x

Hi Helen, just found your channel and have been enjoying all your videos. In one of them, you mentioned leg chafing during the summer months. I have found that applying deodorant to the inner thighs does the trick for me.

Like the green and navy spot dress the best . I think the red gingham one would be fine in the next size. Different makes do vary enormously. One make I have to go down in size a lot . Ie I'm normally a size 22 on the top , size 16 on the hips ( and it's not my bust ! ) in that make I take a size 18 ! K

The black/white dress is just my style so am off to see if it's still available. The gingham dress is nice but I get what you mean about the fit. The black dress is More flattering than you think. I love the first green dress on you but the second green one not so much.

HIi HelenMaryJo new subscriber here. love your channel if I was to describe the content I would say that you model clothing /make-up for the classy smart lady - love Roman /M&S /John Lewis these stores were my "Godsave" back in the days when we were required to wear suits /trouser suits/tailored dresses & Jackets etc the list is endless I think now that the office attire have chaned these stores have relaxed their images & have moved into a casual market- Sorry long way of saving I love yr ch.

What site do you use for discounts?
I use Pouch as an extension on my browser. I cover some of this on my Money Saving video. But also when you sign up the company will often email offers. Thanks for watching xx
