Brilliant! Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out where the buzz was coming from. I turned of the A/C, the PC in the other room, the air filter, the refrigerator. After an hour of trying different fixes, you helped me solve the problem so quickly! The buzz was coming from my camera. I had it plugged into the light ring which is plugged to the wall socket. Thanks!
Yup! This fixed it for me! It was my LED lights inside my booth that were creating the noise. Only certain colors created the buzz (funnily enough "white colors" is what created the "white noise"). Darker colors had no buzzing sound! I am so excited!
For me it was literally the direction my microphone was facing. There is a tv in the next room. When I faced it away from it, it literally real time stopped buzzing.
I've watched like 10 other vids before this. I'm glad I came here. all those 10 yt vids i just watched, didnt even help a bit. Thank you so much for this video! It help me a lot. So the reason for my mic making a buzzing noise was because im charging my phone while pluging in my mic, which causes the electric sound as you mentioned in the vid. Thank you so much! I was kinda nervous thinking i broke it, glad I didn't!
Grouding issues are the most common ones that many many people wont even notice it, i had this rumble or buzzing noise call it as you wish, for long time , i even buy a gaming pc wish has a decent motherboard soundcard in it , an ALC 897 chipset, it should provide decent quality, but i still getting this noise, then when i touched my gaming case with my finger tip , the noise disapeared immediatly then when i remove my finger it comes back as it was, it proves that it something electrical in that genre so i investigate more, i had did anything to discover where it comes , but at that time i still dont get it... i thaugth either i'am dumb... or i was loosing it, so i read more in the net about those problems , so i ve heard for the grounding for the first time, so i checked my electrical pluging, i discovered that the one i had in my room it not grounded, that sucks for me sory to tell you but yeah , my reaction was "There is no Way!" , and of caurse i still cant fix it, and do nothing about it i need an electrician, that will install it, it very hard thing.
Thanks for your advice. For me it was the 5V3A power supply plugged in the extension cord in the same room caused the buzzing sound in the mic. The buzzing sound is gone after switching it off.
can it be any sign of damage mic ? maybe which effected by 48V? or damaging mic will give different signs ? I do hear a cutting buzz (sometimes) on my podmic which connecting to Evo4 and recording on the laptop . Thank you for the video
Yes, it is quite possible that a loose connection or damage to the mic itself might cause the same issue. Trying to isolate the cause of the hum is often a process of elimination to rule out other possible reasons.
Hi Gary! So, if i have this loud and clear buzz and it is my laptop chargers fault and my battery is dead. Is there anything that i can do to remove the buzz? Its driving me nuts. Can i earth the laptop with my own little fix or something? Thanks alot Gary.
Sounds frustrating. If the buzzing persists, especially when touching the laptop, there might be a serious grounding issue. In this case, it’s safer to consult a professional technician. I hope get it sorted!
holy microphone G... did you just advise using WD40 on an electrical contact?!? NO WAY. a Qtip or cloth only bro. incidentally many times a cable from a lamp or other source may be across or very close to a mic cable. best thing is to purchase some clip on ‘ferrite rings’.. they suppress RFI & EMI noise. it’s that round thing you see on computer & hard drive cables all the time. fyi: clip them everywhere, they really work! get on Amazon - they’re boxed in assorted sizes. cheers!
This answer my problem. I had a hum/noise when plugging in my Boya Mic into my PC with AC adapter was plugged in. I tried another recording without AC adapter and it is clear, but my PC is on for only 3 minutes. Do you have a solution other than me buying a new battery? Thanks
Try using a different USB port (if you have one) or plug your mic into another computer to eliminate the possibility of an onboard issue. If your microphone is still misbehaving, you may have to buy a new one 😞
@@GaryTerzza Thank you for your reply. I fixed the earthing problem, but the result is the same. Sometimes it doesn't make a problem when I move my microphone to another direction. Can you please tell me what is that making this problem?
I bought a blue bird mic and everytime I connected it generates buzzing noise, also whenever I put it down the noise increases, connected another mic and tryed the same things and it doesnt generate that noise at all, is it my mic that is busted or something?
Hello sir, i have bm 800 and 48v phantom power, i have good gaming pc whenever i try to use it give me buzzing noice and even when i use mic only it give me buzzing noise but not that loud, so i tried my mic and phantom power on laptop, and it stopped so what could be the reason?, And what should i do now i can't afford laptop so what equipment should i buy to make it work on pc?
It could be a loose connection somewhere in the recording chain. Check everything is plugged in tightly with no movement between plugs and connectors - you could try gently wiping connections too with clean, dry cloth. I hope you get it fixed, I appreciate how annoying it can be.
yeah i had this Buzzing sound issue when connecting a camcorder Sony HXR MC2500 with a wired lav mic to the 3.5mm socket ,and the room is acoustic treated. i Couldn't identify the reason i will try your solutions, Thanks for the video :)
