Take the snorkel out of your mouth when you dive, mate. Fewer bubbles escape that scare the fishes away. Good work, man! :-)

I find it so much easier to keep it in lol. But I know it's best and safer to remove it. I guess it's just bad habit I need to break. Cheers mate.

Hey i'm very new to diving, i've never dove before. I'm only 16 and i'm having trouble finding a good place to try it out. I have a fear of jelly fish even the harmless ones freak me out. Tomorrow i'm planning on going to phillip island with my hand spear, snorkel and fins. Do I need a wet suit or gloves? and are there any other tips you can give me please.

      Hello there,
I strongly recommend that you have full gear when you're spearfishing. Please make sure you don't dive alone. Even the most experienced get themselves into trouble out there. Don't push yourself with your breath holds and watch out for the rips. Please do not dive alone. Stay safe out there.

@@TheIbi1983 Thank you for the advice i'm going with someone don't worry. I might go to Mornington for my first dive because I don't have a wetsuit or gloves.

That's correct, I wasn't too sure if the Boar Fish was good eating or not. My mate told me they are pretty good. I'll have to try one next time.
