It’s amazing how much variation there is in the sound.
Lmao
now Mr. Martone if I didn't know any better I would say you're endorsed by dragonfly percussion!
I’m with Vic Firth all the way. But I love trying new mallets and finding the best tools to use. These just happen to be what I go to right now.
I've read somewhere that bells are supposed to be hit with mallets, not rung. So here I am .. Beautiful sound!
this is a great video, and i think there should be more videos structured like this.
Lovely comparison! 👍
the last one for me
The 1" black celeste mallets had this neat effect where they make the performance sound like one of the earlier runs but with the audio quality set to 11,025Hz instead of 48kHz. (Other mallets had a similar effect but none quite so spot on.)
i never really seemed to like black mallets. i personally like brass mallets
One concert I used the wrong mallets any my director was pissed
Do you know any good cheap brands for xylophone?
You can find something great from Vic Firth. They have a ton of different models on different price points.
@@JoeMartone thanks!
Yamaha also has educator series mallets that are kinda cheap
What bell set is that?
It’s a deagan set
What's going on with the top A,B,&C?
Not sure what you mean
Joe Martone what bell set is that?
How “heavy” is that red dragonfly mallet?🤔
physically not heavy.
Son todas iguales
Haha slight nuances
why do u hold the mallets like a drumstick?
So I can use the mallets like a drumstick
Mysunettingpoem: I'm curious, how else could the mallets be held?
