Sons are very handy. Mine came home on leave from the Royal Navy and between us we became human engine hoists. The block had all the internal parts except for tappets, but anything that can be fitted with the engine on the chassis was left off. Clutch was put on on the chassis then transmission on the crossmember put in using a trolley jack and more muscle power.
On my '44 GPW inside firewall, behind padding was never paint green from the factory. You can see two different colors - red oxide under pad and OD towards glove box.
I get the originality BUT a lot of us want to use these jeeps on the streets , so it's almost a must . I have a way of doing it where i use two left tail lights for brake and stop and then the bottom black out becomes the blinker . You still need either switches under the dash or a signal stat 900 from a big truck which is easy to wire . and in the front , you just use the B/O lights .
Wow! Mr. Schiller and Mr. Schiller Jr.! Glad to see your son, and greetings to him from Russia! Thank you for the video. Wow, cool haircut!
Great start prior to wiring Scott, thank you.
I have received my wiring, for my M-38, ready to start it next week or so , Great to know

I know it's quite off topic but do anybody know a good place to watch new movies online?
@Lennon Vihaan I would suggest flixzone. You can find it on google :)
What are the gaskets for the starter and dimmer switches made from?
