I can't get bored when I'm listening to Paul. I just can't. This man is full of wisdom.. I don't know why people go to agriculture college since we have Paul.
Inspired to see your garden and the way you grow them. Biblically we are back to the basics of how God gave the green plants for food. Great way to encourage us to do this.
TO THOSE WHO HAVE ISSUES WITH HIS FREQUENT REFERENCES TO GOD : When I was Atheist, I couldn't stand religious folk. What irritated me, though, wasn't their belief in God (I only realized this later) : it was that I associated the word "God" and really anything religious with all the weirdness and fanaticism that comes with organized religion. That stuff is corrupt and dark, of course it's a turn off. But that's exactly the point. It's been co-opted to fulfill an agenda, to lead humanity away from the truth. Just like everything out there from the agricultural industry to the music industry, it's all been smothered in crap to land us far from reality so we can easily be divided and conquered. And it's been successful : the world is full of wars, famines, depression, illness, hatred which all allow for easy manipulation. Your reaction to his use of the word "God" is a result of this distortion of the truth. So please, if want to understand where he's coming from and feel his passion in stead of seeing it as some awkward delusion of his and despising him for it, you've got let go of your association between the one divine entity and all the nonsense wrapped around that concept by greed. I know they seem inextricably linked but they're not : one is the truth, the other is a very deliberate veil. Satan sits in the vatican. God sits in nature and inside you. I'm no born a born again christian or baptist, I don't follow any denominations and I'm not from some cultish background. I lived in Paris, France my whole life (an areligious and intellectual place) with a very mildly religious upbringing, was Atheist for many years, have a US college degree in biology and I don't go to any services or even pay attention to any religious texts. When Paul says these are the end times, he's not just telling fairy tales. Not everyone will understand this but I'm making this whole point because now is the time to get right. Things are about to hit the fan hard : banks are going to fail, illnesses are going to spread, disasters are going to increase in frequency and magnitude, and the list of crises we're going to face goes on and on. I'm not saying this to be a mindless doomsayer but to warn you and let you know that it doesn't have to happen to you. If you stay fixated on judging others, eating poorly and living in fear a it's not gonna be a bright day for you and that's a massive understatement. Get back to nature, get your mind clear of all the distractions out there, open up to knowledge and bliss and not a hair on your head will be touched. Hope some of this made sense.
UnitedNewThinkers Yep, God is good, people have free will they can be good or bad . Regardless of his personal life or what someone judges on it, he is a great teacher.
UnitedNewThinkers It seems every era has hard times just like the change of seasons. The idea that one generation should have it so much harder than any previous would be unfair and unjustified. There are many who believe the revelation is more about times long gone and is highly cryptic as well as written by man's perceptions and repetitive retelling and editing to taste. One thing is for sure though is if you believe in evil and satan then you believe in good and god. An athiest may not practice religion, but they still are a believer at some level rather they realize it or not.
I was planting the tomatoes that I grew from seed (indoors) today in my raised beds. I made my own soil mixture for the raised beds and amend the soil with natural minerals each winter. I use no commercial fertilizers. I do not "till" the soil, but rather layer the minerals with fresh compost, etc. and let the soil rest for the winter. Anyway, as I dug the trench to put the tomatoes into (by hand), I was praying for the plants. My prayer also was for insight to be able to care for all the different plants (beans, corn, squash, cucumbers, etc) that I have been moving from my deck to the garden over the last week. Tonight I happened upon your video which was a blessing! So, my prayer tonight was for wood chips!
Whenever something seems to good to be true it's because it isn't true...unless God is involved! If we listened to God like this man does...what a better world this would be. This video was incredible and I'm sharing it on my facebook page and I encourage everyone else to do so as well.
I think that seeing the participants is wonderful! Their facial expressions, etc...it makes it more of an engaging events vs a boring lecturer (I am not saying Paul is boring; I AM saying that it brings more life to the presentation).
Thank you Paul! In 2006 I begun builing a large ornamental garden (25ha), here in Romania. Periodically we organise events for and with school-childrens and plant lovers. The soil is not too good, so I've planted a lot of roses (the large collection in the country:22000 varieties), and mainly woody plants. After seeing your video, I felt encouraged to try to create also a vegetable area. I will follow your advice and I hope I will be able to send you some photos with results, next years. I will consider you my "partner" in this project. God bess!
When the first Europeans started to farm here 300 +/- years ago, they were able to grow like gangbusters because there was 10% carbon in the soil. The way to prep soil is by doing what this video preaches. By adding wood chips you can return carbon to the soil and experience the virgin earth the way the pioneers did. I had a small garden a few years ago and used wood chips (about 4 inches deep) to plant in. It produced beyond what I anticipated. Now, I have my front yard garden, side yard and backyard garden and I'm having the time of my life. I have done this in Zone 7b (Marietta, GA).
josenavarro1973 I first heard Jack talk about Hugelkultur almost three years ago. I have always liked the idea. The only part I don't like is that at some point the logs will completely decompose. Do you have to tear up the whole garden to put more in? I like just being able to drop more woodchip mulch on the top when it all decomposes.
Not yet, but as gardening is truly a learning process I anticipate that around early June to have stupendous results. Right now (mid January in zone 7b) I have elephant garlic that is doing well. It has suffered 2 day+ of cold rain and about 2 dozen nights below 32f. Onions were not so hearty as it is recovering from the rain with droop. The smaller garlic is OK as well. I suspect most root vegetables in this season to do well, as they tend to build up sugars when the temperature dips.
L2Survive There's info to the right, on the side bar..>>> More..the movie, here, with others who've used his methods, also. www.backtoedenfilm.com/watch-back-to-eden-film-with-spanish-subtitles.html
Keep in mind folks that Ruth Stout was doing this method in England in the 70's. This is not new but Paul has taken us to a new level. I was doing this in the 70's on Cape Cod using seaweed and salt hay that were both weed free just like wood chips but they had even more minerals, etc. Mulch gardening is the way to go.
Sharon Mauney You're right Sharon, my bad. I hadn't thought about her in years and somehow remembered England rather than "New" England. TY! But I always remembered her methods ;-)
Paul is great man. May God bless him for his work. As I am muslim, I love him because his belief on GOD and sharing his knowledge with others. I love his Iman ("Trust on GOD in everyhting"). May GOD bless him and his family and grant him paradise life here after.
I love nature and I have never ever thought about nature in a simple way. You've just opened my eyes - truly amazing how God planned it to be!! Thanks!
James Prigioni. You have lost your way. You turn your back on wood chips. You think you found a better way to grow Vegetables. You over look what Paul has done, and is still doing. It worked when he started his journey. And still works in Late July 2021! Repent, and embrace your first love! You can grow plants in just water, and a water soluble fertilizers. You don't even need dirt. But is that a better way?
I have no issues with God or those that love, praise, and worship him. But it feels super heavy with it right now. Love the enthusiasm and the method. Great info and good points!
It is 2019 and his message is still valid. He is blessed to live in nature which is the true temple of God. He understands it and lives the dream life we others are only hoping for. He is a real encouragement to everyone :- )
I'm soo happy i've come across this guy! He's soo down to earth & soo humble! Beautiful person in & out! Wish i could meet him one day! Thanks for the upload dear!! :))
Thanks for sharing with us all Paul, your simple yet profound faith is inspiring and I believe a wonderful demonstration of the way God intends us to live. My journey has a long way to go but I am inspired.
Paul you are a blessing.. I have learned so much through you not only about growing food but also about our natural relationship to the Creator and how we are so disconnected. I want to grow food like you do but I do not have a place of my own to do such a thing. As of right now I am only able to grow small amounts in raised beds and have been doing so for quite some time, but my vision is much larger than that. Not only do I want to grow beautiful food but I want to feed people too. I know it's in my future and coming quickly. Thank you Paul for being a willing vessel .. I'm grateful!
I don't know that Paul is a Pastor, but he has an Awesome Ministry! My most precious times of closeness to God are when I'm in my garden, I feel a lightheartedness and joy. The Awesome Wonder of God!
Wow this is some amazing stuff, not just the wood chips and gardening but how connected he is to God. God bless him for all the info. So it is 4 inches of fresh wood chips and he maintains it by adding maybe a inch of new chips or the chicken manure right? That would be done every year or two?
You are correct. Now Paul will only add new woodchips when he thinks it might be needed. Since I have known him, he has only put an inch of woodchips on his strawberry patch and he put some over by the blueberry bushes last year. He will also put about an inch or so on his grass in the fall.
1ChevyGuy375 Here you go. After the last time you mow your lawn in the fall, spread out a half and inch to an inch of woodchips/mulch over the grass. You are not trying to cover the grass, from a distance, you might not even notice that there are woodchips there at all. It will work the same way that it does in the Back to Eden garden. Over the fall, winter and spring, the woodchips will decompose and compost into your lawn. Tree roots go deep so, they are able to pull up all of the minerals that top soil does not have. They get chipped up then you put them on the lawn. This is how Paul keeps his grass so green. Paul also will throw all of his ash from the wood stove onto his grass. Since minerals don't burn away in a fireplace, putting the ash on your grass is like dumping concentrated minerals on the ground.
I put 2 feet of wood chips all over my garden, I did not do 4 inchs so that I would have to put cardboard that has glues and chemicals, and I did not want to put newpaper full of dyes in my earth, so I put down a 2 foot layer. I planted my kale and such by digging a deep narrow hole about 6-7 inchs wide, filled in with compost and planted my plants in them, no biggy . They are doing fine, when it rains the wood chip compost tea feeds my plants, they get the benefit of staying moist, every thing is as it should be. I throw compost and dried powdered ground up mushrooms on top for the extra fungal nutrition . He said he originally put 18 inches but for some of us to do only 4 inches so that we would not have 'to dig thru so much chips' to plant, I have no problem digging a deep narrow hole, filling it with compost and planting my garden! And no cardboard and no weeds!
Hi Paul, im watching all your videos over again, since its raining, and theres a couple months of garden rest before starting up again! Ive done all the wood chips..had to get more after 2 yrs as they just went away! I get the chip drop people to dump 20 yards and this is second time in 2 yrs the soil is amazing thanks to your teaching! I have 2 sequoia trees in my yard too, on a .3 lot in town😅 i didnt put them there, but they've grown at least 50 ft over 6 yrs! And mingle well with my japanese maples etc etc! I have an orchard also and am pruning them like you do, only some are young, the 5 yr old asian pears i am slowly cutting the centers out! Its scary to do that but they are looking more like yours every yr. and producing too much fruit! I hope your doing ok, as i just watched the video the guy does with you, 3 months ago, and felt the pain of your not being in the garden like you want ..my husband is also unable to do all the things he used to, and well for that matter i sure cant do what i used to either! I want my strenth back too. But, thats not how it goes, is it. Better things await us!! Can you imagine the TREES in heaven!!! Ok, justed wanted to say hi.
I wouldn't feel right asking you guys to pay for something. Maybe if I had to spend money with a professional studio to do the editing I might but, with how I put the videos together, I should be paying you to watch. LOL
I love your tour and how you recognize Scripture as Yah's instruction booklet for life. I especially appreciated your "meaty" comment about First Fruits. Shalom from one garden of Eden person to another. I totally understand how you feel about not wanting to leave it, and Yah being there and not at the churches. HallelluYah! My you continue to be richly blessed as you grow with Him and His beloved Son..

Although I am a christian, I aspire to be more like Paul or better yet, like God, so those around me would feel the way I feel after listening to Paul talk about the Creator. I pray to meet Paul someday.
This is the best most God opening loving informative video I have ever watched and you are RIGHT ON with every word..Thank you so much for your love of God and his word.
This is a wonderful video. Listening to Paul, reminds me the words of my mentor and Professor of World Religions at Asbury Theological Seminary, Dr. Bob Tuttle, Jr. It seems like both of them were twin brothers in their way they think and connect our world with the spiritual realm.
Amazing and beautifully simple! It all makes so much sense that I'm ashamed to not have realized these principles by observing nature. Better late then never i guess... Where do you get all the wood to chip, felled trees in the area?
Mostly woodchips come from the tree services that trim the trees near the power lines in your area. If you ever see them, just ask them to drop the chips at your house.
Thanks Thatnub. Since posting that, I'm making my through your videos and have learned so much about what to do and not to do, but that's what it's all about. Paul has changed everything this experienced gardener has ever learned. Thanks for being his vessel!
what a great follow up to the film. Thanks so much for sharing. My wood chip garden is on year three, can't wait to plant in a few weeks. Also just got Chickens for the first time. God is great!
I was looking for permaculture, and He brought me here. i thought it was dead boring 2hours of talk. Not only i was wrong, I AM moved. I even claimed to become another land steward. :-)

Epic! Thank you for taking the time to put this all together, you really are the man
I didn't think it would take three days, non stop of my computer rendering the footage, to get it all into one movie but, once I started, I had to finish it.
great video, but I hate his "It's huge"
Michal Vašut but it is huge, especially all the ramifications
@@Forseti2 His use of a four letter offense word to make a point was un called for. Bible says let no filthy communication come out of our mouths.
@@charlescoker7752 Huge is a bad word.....? Since when..
It is amazing listening to him talk I have actually listened to five hour videos of this and not realized it.
Only 300 more hours to go. Don't worry, it goes quick and you learn something new everytime you watch him speak.
Hang on until the end of this film, people, because truth is being spoken over and over. Listen close and all of God's people shout "AMEN!!!!!!". Thank you for posting this vid here as I have received a huge blessing from it and have shared it with others.
Paul is one of the greatest evangelists I've ever stumbled upon . God is great and how he connected it to gardening is magic.
Thankyou you have ministered to me in ways I cannot explain. Your faith is amazing and we need to start to be real and ourselves and tell people about how awesome he is. We don't need to preach to them, but speak from the heart. Be Blessed.
This is an Awesome tour! In case you are wondering how close to what God wants us to know Paul is: Listen to the thunder in the last 10 minutes punctuate what he is saying!
I really appreciate how observant you are in regards to nature. You have so much passion. May you continue to find peace.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make and edit all of these films. I am in your debt.
Thanks Again & Best Regards,
Jon
And the absolute inspiration to my Homestead
Thank you for recording your tour. It has been a mighty encouragement. Blessings
This is my fourth time watching this video. Thanks for posting this!
What a beautiful gift God gave you, and you are fateful and share it to all who would listen! God bless you and your wonderful work!
TO THOSE WHO HAVE ISSUES WITH HIS FREQUENT REFERENCES TO GOD :
When I was Atheist, I couldn't stand religious folk.
UnitedNewThinkers I am so glad you have words to explain Paul's reference to God that I don't have. you are appreciated :)
amen brother I believe all of it
I was an athiest as well and how very true
I get addicted watching this video every day I lost count how many times. Thank you gringo for posting this beautiful Thank you!!
I think that seeing the participants is wonderful! Their facial expressions, etc...it makes it more of an engaging events vs a boring lecturer (I am not saying Paul is boring; I AM saying that it brings more life to the presentation).
What a huge blessing to see this garden, how easily grown, and listen as Paul gives all glory to God our Creator for showing him The Way to grow it...
God bess!
I’m following this! Any updates!?
Thank you for all your hard work and putting this together. I have watched all of the individual videos but so nice to have it all together.
I love the connection of God that comes through you, very spiritual.
I like just being able to drop more woodchip mulch on the top when it all decomposes.
arbonac I like hearing stories of people who are growing their own food. Do you have pictures or a video up somewhere?
Not yet, but as gardening is truly a learning process I anticipate that around early June to have stupendous results. Right now (mid January in zone 7b) I have elephant garlic that is doing well. It has suffered 2 day+ of cold rain and about 2 dozen nights below 32f. Onions were not so hearty as it is recovering from the rain with droop. The smaller garlic is OK as well. I suspect most root vegetables in this season to do well, as they tend to build up sugars when the temperature dips.
L2Survive There's info to the right, on the side bar..>>>
More..the movie, here, with others who've used his methods, also.

This was epic, never have I gotten this much sensible, valuable easy to retain info, in such a short time.
Ruth Stout was in New England, USA
Thanks!
There's no god bro 😊
The thunder at the end about the farmer was just a plus 😊 and im not the most holy and have plenty of doubts but this is what i needed
A short disclaimer: " I have absolutely nothing to sell, and this is not about me..."
James Prigioni is an awesome expression of Creator. Let’s all be friends 👍
All this knowledge Paul talks about. It is really great for us to lern
THANK YOU PAUL FOR TEACHING US
Thank you for recording and posting this! Looking forward to viewing more of this video content and applying the principles myself!
Awesome! Thanks for investing your time and talent in order to share this with us.
Blew my mind. Can’t believe I didn’t associate it to the word of God. Amazing. Beautiful
Totally amazing. I just stumbled on it and have been shocked and delighted!
Praise God for His message!! Thank you for sharing the wisdom!
Really a fantastic job putting all the videos together in sequence. I think God might had a helping hand in this. Paul is awesome.
bevyh1 God is awesome! Paul has a brain to listen. I am leaving the thinking to him because He knows better! God bless
What he said about the oil pockets... Made so much sense!
I love watching these videos. I love your relaxed nature and gentleness. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
Absolutely amazing perspective on food production. I learned a lot. Thanks.
This guy is amazing.bits taken me til just maybe 5 or so years to figure out things are going south this man knew it so long ago
Right over the grass, some video of that or maybe a explanation would be nice. He must have a well draining lawn.
L2Survive OK thanks, i probably want a finer chipped mulch then compared to a chunky kind.
I put 2 feet of wood chips all over my garden, I did not do 4 inchs so that I would have to put cardboard that has glues and chemicals, and I did not want to put newpaper full of dyes in my earth, so I put down a 2 foot layer. I planted my kale and such by digging a deep narrow hole about 6-7 inchs wide, filled in with compost and planted my plants in them, no biggy
This is big and is free, Thank you,Thank you Thatnub Thatnub, Paul Thank you, Thank you!!
I wouldn't feel right asking you guys to pay for something. Maybe if I had to spend money with a professional studio to do the editing I might but, with how I put the videos together, I should be paying you to watch. LOL
Big fan of Back to Eden! Thanks for posting this.
Can we say that Paul's organic gardening is the easiest, least labor intensive, most natural, least investment, sustainable, and most nutritious / delicious produce? As I am getting older, I am looking for the best approach. Thx
James Chuaycham Yes, we can say that.
Thank You so much L2, I wanted to see it all together!
What an amazing presentation. Lovely and full of wonderful information and insights. I have a small garden and I plan to begin the wood chip process. And it is true, the Lord is in the garden. I love your house Oh Lord. His house is the Garden. Thanks for this video.
we visited Paul's garden today.....he still has tons of chest high, thick, gorgeous, tender kale and rows of cilantro NOT bolting..an ordhard full of ripening juicy fruit..i still feel the glow of being there...
I watched the whole video again. That was a cool introduction to the video, you did good. The message that comes out is amazing and powerful. I sent it to my email friends.
I love the praising of our precious savior!!! You are humble and the Lord has blessed you!
Thank you so much Paul for your videos! You are an inspiration and I Love how you look at life and gardening! I am a fan and I started my B2E garden this year! I've had better results than any garden I've ever had and can't wait to see what God does for me next year!
Hilarious... "Is this a Cougar?"... "This is a cat." lol at 1:24:30
"Undisturbed nature is naturally abundant, It's when man meddles with it that scarcity develops."
Excellent truth!!
@@JosieF3G Glad you liked it!
awesome, this is so encouraging, I love watching and listening to Paul.
God Bless you and your family. ak Sweden
He is such an inspiration! Every time I watch a video with Paul talking about God, I see the image of God through Paul. Although I am a christian, I aspire to be more like Paul or better yet, like God, so those around me would feel the way I feel after listening to Paul talk about the Creator. I pray to meet Paul someday.
Hey, it finally hit me. The roots really do only go as far as a drip line. Your trees are still looking for their drip line!
LOL
You are obviously a man of God. Thank you for sharing your experiences and beliefs. May the good Lord continue to bless you.
Paul, Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing...I was brought to you.
To God be the glory! Praise the Lord! Thank you brother Paul.
This is the best most God opening loving informative video I have ever watched and you are RIGHT ON with every word..Thank you so much for your love of God and his word.
Agreed!
Paul thank you for your teachings.
one with the universe! great knowledge!
I am now going to try this method of gardening. I am so grateful that he asked god for guidance because I too can benefit from it.
what a great follow up to the film.
I was just thinking the same thing. He’s full of wisdom... not of his own.
i love it when he gets all over the neighbors yard and starts comparing. he is hilarious.
