The Batman Part 2 has been DELAYED! The new release date is October 2nd, 2026 and how is everyone feeling?? This did not come as a surprise to a lot of us. There has not been much news regarding the highly anticipated sequel and with the script still not being finished, it would only make sense that production is not ready to begin. Matt Reeves is hard at work on that script and it’s anyone’s guess as to when it will be finished. Regardless, today seemed like a great time to have another conversation about The Batman Part 2 and break down all of the news and rumors that have been circulating around. Join the conversation!

The good thing is that is delayed only by a year. If it got delayed for 2 or 3 years then would have been a problem . I am thankful that we still getting it
I don't mind the delay
Because the movie will be better than the first one if Matt Reeves got more time and the first movie was delayed. It supposed to release in 2021 but it release in 2022
It’s taking way too long for sequels these days 😶
I still call absolute BS about Reeves "still needing more time to write the script". Dude has had enough time to write the script ever since April 2022 when he revealed the sequel at that year's Cinemacon. And even before the 2023 strikes. Deep down, its because DC and WB damn well know they are financially BROKE to finance and market 2 superhero movies at once in 2025. They are throwing their leftover money into Superman. They ARE billions in debt after many tax write offs and flops.
I wonder if there might be some truth in this. Superhero movies have not performed that well recently and can’t really be considered a ‘sure thing’ to investors. Audience appetite isn’t what it was and we have a more cynical approach to them now.
Deadpool should absolutely explode this year. I personally look forward to The Fantastic Four but I don’t have the same level of expectation for anything else.
Perhaps Warner Bros are waiting to see how tepid the water is this summer.

The Batman 2 will never see the day light.
James Gunn will announce new Batman before the End of this year, and possibly start production next year.
WB/DC will not have 2 Batman movies in production at the same time.
Besides that , even if they make Batman 2 , do you think they can make Batman 3 after 5 or 7 years , in moddle of the New DCU. This does not make any business sense.

this movie was delayed bc no one give a shit about james gunns superman. no one asked for it whatsoever and he’s not a good director, and the batman will outshine his film cause we know it’ll flop like the rest of his dc projects
It’s been doomed ever since the new favorite co-head of DC Studios took over. What makes you think a movie like this will ever release when a selfish disgusting individual desperately trying to be a DC Kevin Fiege is controlling EVERYTHING???
