Thank you very much for that cause I was wondering how to stop the sample from keep repeating on hitting it and you helped me out with that and the voices section putting it on one. Thank you for that.

Great video 👍 I’m wrestling with Battery vs Drum Machine Designer (DMD) and when to use which one. They have the same capabilities, but different delivered sample libraries and preset kits. If I’m collaborating with another Logic user (who might not own Battery) it would make sense to use DMD and just share the samples in the kit. Have you considered pulling the Battery samples and kits into DMD?

Same here. Actually the real comparison would be between logics native drum machine and battery. I’ve downloaded adsl drum machine the trial and kinda like it. It’s user friendly and has a built in sequencer. But not sure if I gonna buy it.

@@SchibbiSchibbi I ended up creating kits in Logic’s DMD from Battery samples - just the ones I like. I’m using Logic DMD for all my drum sounds and kits, regardless of where the sound sources come from. It can be free sample packs, the 8000 samples in XO by XLN Audio, Apple loops, doesn’t matter the source. It just makes sense to learn 1 drum machine that can use sounds and samples from anywhere -

battery all the way.. tho the only issue with it is its quite heavy on the CPU load for what it is.
if you are not looking for its sound library then the Apisonic Speeddrum lite which is free & offers loads of tweaking for what it is. its also got a paid version & is cheaper.
but the battery samples are by far some of the best!

Battery is slightly beating logic’s sampler as it’s daw agnostic.

thats not how you audition kicks. you audition them after you’ve layered the song. You can’t pick a kick without hearing what it sounds like in the complete rhythm section.
