And with that breath support, they can do other adlibs and high notes properly. you can notice how boa didn't sound weak or shaky (out of breath) in any way even when she sang randomly like that.

Apparently JYP instructs most of his idols to sing similarly to him - with a lot of breath and softly, rather than power. Both agencies obviously will have songs that are different but it’s so interesting how idols from both have their distinct vocals
When SM artists sing, I know who each of them is. SM trains artists by highlighting the highlights and advantages of each person, thereby making them unique and special. I discovered Kpop in 2007 and have been following SM ever since! SM may be a bad management company, but their vocal and dance training is amazing!

Sunmi actually mentioned in an interview before that she was glad when she left JYP that she could experiment with her vocals more. Apparently JYP instructs most of his idols to sing similarly to him - with a lot of breath and softly, rather than power. Both agencies obviously will have songs that are different but it’s so interesting how idols from both have their distinct vocals

When SM artists sing, I know who each of them is. SM trains artists by highlighting the highlights and advantages of each person, thereby making them unique and special. I discovered Kpop in 2007 and have been following SM ever since! SM may be a bad management company, but their vocal and dance training is amazing!
I think JYP suits ballad,pop and RnB while SM suits any genre having high notes coz they're both born that way
SM have their own genre, it called SMP (SM Music & Performance) you can search it.
They always have RnB bridge, Highnote, runs, also hiphop details.

The thing with SM is that they bet all in the high notes and adlips, while JYP is more the stylish type, I usually prefer JYP because they know how to work well with more than just high notes and we all know, singing is not all about hitting hard but playing with...
thats called versatility and if you ever heard red velvet you wouldn't say SM rely heavy on adlibs and high notes( which is probably the hardest thing to do with your voice). tarzan's warcry is just an example. but i dont think you know what that is. and btw adlibs are the true testament to your vocal agility which is like you said "playing with your voice".

SM artists has the perfect notes. They hit all the notes either high or low. They have extensive training and you can see it evidently in the quality of their artists
