Sooooooooo sorry about your injury. All the best. I just spent the night imaging Markarian's chain centered on M86 with a t3i Canon with a L-Enhance from a Bortle 7 location. To sum it up : lots of noise. Your shots are really pretty good for first run with easy remedies next time. I would love to have a good cooled CMOS OSC camera [too lazy to do mono]. The qhy268m is a GREAT camera based on your subs. I sure enjoy your method of presentation. Again, feel better soon!
Oh man, take care Yannick. Hope you heal quickly. I know what it's like not being able to lift anything greater than 2kg. I had surgery a couple weeks ago, so I'm in the same boat for at least another week.
Sorry to hear about the accident. Hopefully you’ll make a full recovery. Markarians Chain is one of my favourite targets in the spring sky. Nice rendering in spite of the artefacts. Cheers!
So glad to see you are back! Sorry about the accident and wish you a speedy, full recovery. Please be careful or instead of two hobbies there will be....well, you get the point! We need you!
I'm one of those anonymous watchers hooked to your videos, your geekiness and sense of humour. From Canary Islands, I wish you a fast and full recovery!
Sorry to hear of your accident. Glad to see you smiling and continuing your journey of astrophotography. Thank you for your dedication and I am hopeful of a complete recovery.
Wow, i am very sorry. Feel better and speedy recovery. i watch many of your videos and you have given me a number of good tips. Get well soon and Thank you
Good to have you back Cuiv! You need to take more care, in the UK we say that things come in threes. Firstly you’re off with Covid, now an accident...Batten down the hatches! :-) Superb video as ever - thank you!
Great to see you back on your YT channel, Cuiv - take care, your astro fans are all wishing you a speedy, full recovery! I just spent a couple of nights shooting Markarian’s Chain with my 61EDPH II and an ASI2600MC in Bortle 5, so I sympathise with you more than ever in Tokyo.... I found it a difficult image to show to friends but did like the way you panned slowly around, picking out the amazing numbers of tiny galaxies.
It's such a fascinating target isn't it! Just not conducive to a WOW factor for the non-initiated - higher focal length on the center would likely work better!
I've been watching your videos on & off for a while now so I were a bit shocked to hear about your accident, here's wishing you a speedy recovery take it easy....
I knew there must be something wrong. Horrified to hear about your spine, but glad to see you back in action. Get well soon Cuiv. All the very best from Ireland.
Cuiv! So sorry about your accident! I am new to astrophotography and your videos are the ones that I am always excitedly anticipating. They are phenomenal! You are the reason I have learned to use NINA. I still have a lot to learn, but you've given me a great foundation. I am glad that you are en route to recovery and I hope you are well soon. Take care, Cuiv.
Quiv! Sorry to hear that. Crushed vertebrae & still creating amazing content. Thank you for this & all your past videos. Absolute legend. Speedy recovery.
Was getting worried again Cuiv, so sorry to hear of the injury, do everything the Doc's say my friend, I didn't and regret it. Good luck and safe recovery, worry about yourself first, we and, the channel can wait until you are well again.
I was very careful about COVID, barely going out at all (and always mask on, etc.) so that was bad luck. But this incident - completely my fault. I will be careful, thank you!
Hi Cuiv that’s a bummer that you can’t lift more that 2kg. I was going to suggest you get one of the GSO 6” F9 RC telescope. They are but heavy for you at 7kg, but I would have though that focal length would help with sky glow as well as being ideal for galaxy season. Also 6” does not need OAG.
Cuiv - I just want to say I am a huge fan of your vids. Chock full of information gold nuggets that have helped me immensely. I hope you heal quickly. Props for continuing the vids with a brace on. Such dedication. i have a couple of paragliders that work for me. Every year a group of them get a permit from the Forest Service to launch off Mt. Bachelor (local ski mounting in Central Oregon) and paraglide from 9800 to 3500 feet almost 30 miles away. I don't think they can get permits anymore, but I used to cringe every time they tell me their going to do that thinking I'll never see these guys again. I attended a fly out at Pine Mountain on an evening they said had "magic air". Watched them climb to just speck in the sky then descend and land safely at their leisure. Then I came to know why they do it. Take care of yourself.
Wow! I was sad as I will not be able to setup for imaging for 3 months due to having shoulder reconstruction. But you take it way beyond. Take care and heal well! Thoughts are with you. Love your channel content and your humour.
Good to see you again and wishing you full and quick recovery! You should use this unfortunate situation to your advantage - more begginer friendly pixinsight videos!!!!!
Your back where we want you and want a full recovery. Some of your Nina videos I’ve watched a million times. I just bought a Stellarvue 102T apo. With flattener and autofocus.so I will be watching your autofocus videos a million times and by then you should be fully recovered. And yes center on the “really cool” galaxy so I know which one to center my 102T when they finish building it .
Heureux de te revoir Cuiv. Désolé pour cet accident, je te souhaite de te rétablir au plus vite. A bientôt pour de nouvelles aventures sous le ciel de Tokyo.
Salut Cuiv! Great video, as always. And thank you again for putting out such great content, even while recovering from a very serious accident! Take care. I hope we'll see you on the balcony soon :)
@@CuivTheLazyGeek I’ve had two spine fusions-1 from too many decades of running and the other a gift of a Val de Glas/Mont Blanc crevasse. Best thing I’ve found to keep ahead of the pain and maintain motion is rigorous PT and regular exercise. Good luck Cuiv!
Good to see you back! Best wishes for your recovery, thanks for spending the time making this video. I have been lazier than you this galaxy season (and I have zero excuses). Don't overdo it!
Glad to see you back Cuiv, suffering for your channel and with a good video. Not a PI user but it gave me a few insights as to how it works. I guess you wont be doing any paragliding for a bit, just more data processing!
Wishing you a fast and healthy recovery! My first time imaging the chain was about 2 years ago with a OSC. I find they are tough to get good colour on even from a darker site...definitely a tough target despite their popularity. But you knocked it out of the water from a white zone, awesome!
Cuiv, glad to see you back up and running! Re PCC, it will never work right if you have background neutralization is on with an upper limit value higher than your actual background value. If you use 0.1 in linear form, it typically works, but if you do PCC non linear, your actual background noise will probably be higher than 0.1. change it and give it a shot. Just place your cursor over your actual image of the background and see what the measurement is and on PCC enter your upper limit a bit higher.
Yeah that's actually what I had actually did behind the scenes - no luck. In the end, it's just that PCC is made to work on linear images (works fine in linear...)
Awwww c’mon, that was the reason for your long absence, remember that we only live once, and that you are missed in the community, greetings from Monterrey Mexico, and speedy recovery!
You are a staple to the AP community, please be safe and have a speedy recovery! We need you Cuiv!
