    The V10 and V12 eras were the best. That is what F1 cars should sound like. Senna was so damn good, he was able to hold off Prost for a long time, in a severely underpowered car.

      Der mclaren von senner war nich untermotorisiert der williams hatte ein schnellschaltgetriebe wärend senner noch ein manuelles Getriebe besaß was natürlich deutlich mehr zeit braucht beim beschleunigen als ein schnellschaltgetriebe

      Nah, Prost just wasn't a very aggressive overtaker, he just waited for the Hangar straight to TCB, his car was so very much faster that he didn't need to push the issue

      @@aerox782la MP4/8 di Senna e Andretti, era con cambio semi automatico, e sospensioni attive, tcs e acceleratore elettronico, peccava rispetto alla Williams ‘93 di motore , il v10 Renault era il riferimento, il loro v8 Ford era inferiore pure alla Benetton

    Active suspension working at 3:07 its just unreal. Aparently ilogical behaviur, getting flat at straights and adapting to rolling in curves... amazing technology even in early 90s. Looked like sci-fi at that time.

    Look at how nervous looks the '98 car compared to previous years because of the grooves tires. Also no tc on a v10, fantastic!

      98 Was first year on grooved tyres, also number of grooves was different 3 on front, 4 in the rear

      The Williams drivers could lower the ride height on the car, reducing drag. I think the engineers called it push to pass

    Hell, they could bring back the V10's now with biofuels and still be just as carbon neutral as the hated V6 hybrids. No F1 fan WANTS F1 to be 'Road car relevant' - Formula E covers that quite satisfactorily. The true F1 fans want speed, sound and exhileration. The problem is the sponsors wanting to be associated with these types of car. Dumb.

    I thought the 93 Williams was supposed to be faster in the turns because of traction control/active suspension than the McLaren? In the straights it is crazy how quickly Prost catches Senna though. I dont think that year of McLaren was down on power.
    Am I missing something?

      The Ford V8 in the McLaren was between 640 and 730 hp, the Renault V10 was 760-780hp, so more than a hundred hp more at the start of the season

      Watch closely as Prost presses and holds the yellow button at 4:37. It was the predecessor to KERS and gave the Williams-Renault FW15C a burst of additional horsepower in order to finally get past Senna.

      Abdulaziz Abdullah the yellow button wasn’t for a KERS system - it was a button that altered the rake of the car via its active suspension to reduce drag on the straights so similar concept to the DRS we have today.

    pro senna era só passa na maior facilidade esse e os outros carro com decorre dos anos passou a ser mais seguros depois que ele se acindentou no dia 1 de maio da quele ano né mas passa ele se ele fosse ir para a ferrari depois de ser campeão um ano seguinte ai seria uma outra historia como campeão do mundo agora com a mclaren de 88 a 93 ha e muito assim diria um pouco provavel que seja isso pra passa ele teria que pilotar como ele com arrojo e muito talento e braço os carros passava pilota assim quando cada carro tinha as tais marchas semi aotomatico em tão ai né fazer o que se em monaco o manssel que estava atras dele não conseguiu imagina o proprio schmacher com esse carro ali e e sempre foi dificil passar e imagina assim totalmente normalmente assim qualquer um conseguiria passa não e e não sei ti dizer mas poderia ser assim não acha gostei de rever uma ótima pilotagem de grandes pilotos da atualidades e aqui pra nos os cabra são bons ou não são em me diga show nota 10 como diria o jurado la do sorteio das escolas de samba de são paulo e do rio fiquem ai com deus meus colegas e ate amanha viu e bom inicio de semana a todos voces ate aproxima

    Fatou fw 16 de 94 que infelizmente levou a vida de ayrton senna . Não era nada fácil ultrapassá-lo ,prost com a wiliams bem melhor que a mclaren e comeu poeira um tempo kkkk
