It lives in the soil forever, in my 2,000 acres of tropical forest (food forest) , I have been working hard to ban all humans from entering my garden .
I am a water guardian (indigenous Fijian) .
You have a huge task , problem ahead of you , thanks for sharing .

Its falling in rain everywhere in the world now. The more rain, the more PFOAS you will be having in your soil! India is supposed to have the most in the future just due to rain. The chemicals float so have drifted all over the world. Wave action churns them up into the air and so into rain clouds. No fresh water fish anywhere in America are safe to eat and many areas of salt water fish are extremely toxic also. North and South Carolina from the Cape Fear River and the Mississippi River from Weston Minnesota and Parkersburg West Virginia on down into the Gulf of Mexico are highly contaminated.

Teflon tape used in plumbing contaminates all pipe types. Very bad for plumbers too.

Babies are being born with microplastics in their systems. When they get old enough to procreate, they will then go on to pass that down to their own offspring, and thus the cycle will continue. I can only imagine what the long-term implications are, but I consider it a crime against humanity and other life forms that we share this earth with as well.
