I've always found it bizarre to have a makeup artist who doesn't know you and what works for your skin do your makeup on such an important day. Not shaming anyone, if that's what you want go for it, but I would be so scared and distrustful of anybody else but myself doing my makeup lol, so thank you for showing this!!! I feel better knowing I'm not the only one lol

Me too! I've had my makeup done a few times as a bridesmaid and absolutely hated it. I don't see anything wrong with doing it yourself if that's what you're comfortable with

You're so pretty and congratulations on the wedding!!!I was so indecisive about doing my own makeup for my wedding, but your video gave me so much confidence and reassurance to do my own. My husband and I got married during covid but didn't have the church ceremony, which we would love to do this year or early next year. I had a makeup artist do my makeup and felt not like myself. The next day we celebrated with friends and I did my own makeup. It photographed so much better, and I felt more beautiful. For our actual wedding I'm doing it myself!! Thank you for the video!!!!!!
i’m getting married soon and will also be doing my own makeup! i’ve also had some bad experiences with MUA doing my makeup and it’s never turned out the way i like. thanks for this! i’ll definitely be keeping note of some of the products you used!
I had the same problem like you and I am very picky when it comes to my makeup and I don’t like wearing too much. I don’t feel comfortable with heavy makeup. And my husband also requested I didn’t wear too much makeup. Wow we used the same eyeshadow what a coincidence and the same lashes but I didn’t use my lashes.
I've had 3 trials and hated my makeup every time!!!!! :O I think I'm just going to do it myself for my wedding in sept! I looked like a clown...dark eyeshadow, huge lashes...it's just a no from me LOL. You looked so gorg!!! xx

Did you do a "trial run" beforehand with all of the products you purchased? Just to see how it would look and if you liked it before doing it on your actual wedding day?

I love this! I’ve been debating doing my own wedding makeup for the same reasons! I want something that’s “me,” but elevated. I don’t wear cakey makeup and that seems to always be what the MUA goes for! Totally unrelated question, but where’s the tank you’re wearing on your wedding day from?? Love it!!

Yup I did my own makeup and I brought the makeup at Sephora to and it was around 300$. And my bridesmaids did their own makeup/one of my bridesmaids did the other bridesmaids makeup.
