- Sailing with kids. We knew it would be an adventure, but what we didn't count on was the wildlife we would encounter so early in our trip. In this episode, our 2 year old befriends sharks, making all of her #babyshark dreams come true. Then she encounters wild pigs, which make much less of an impression. We enjoy beautiful weather as we travel from Obrien's Cay, Cambridge Cay, Compass Cay, Pipe Cay, and Staniel Cay. But all of the nice weather can't last and we face our first anchoring challenges of the trip.

I’ve seen (on other videos) those pigs nip at people. I don’t blame you for not letting your daughter get too close.
What an amazing childhood you are giving your daughter!! Well done.
A fine looking Caribbean Silver Spider, pigs and Nurse Sharks.....nice filming.
LOL .. prepping with Peppa Pig just before you go to see the pigs
I have sung that song so many times with my grand kids……beautiful drone shots……so many boats in the anchorage…….never fun to anchor with that many boats so close and to worry about them dragging into you…..
Your going to like the fid counting even more five years from now! keep the videos coming, thanks
You must enjoy seeing the world through Maddie''s eyes as everything is new to her.
It’s the best!
We did this trip with our two kids last year. Thank you for letting us relive it through your experience! So fun to watch and can't wait to do it again. Cheers from Chicago!
Never a dull moment when cruising, right? Love your great attitude when it comes to following Mats (orders) suggestions on just when & where to go. Your Mattie didn’t seem phased one bit about petting this nurse sharks! The nurturing without coddling ways are proving themselves out with her. Can you explain just how you kids pay for this wonderful lifestyle at such a young age? I am just a curious retired old fart that is nosey!
❤️❤️❤️
I followed you years ago during your first sailing trip and then on your motorcycle adventure. I had no idea you were back sailing. Not sure why RUclips wasn't bothering to show me your videos. Perhaps they will now.
Pet the shark, eat the pig. That is the only way to do things. I have heard those pigs on that beach can get aggressive if you have food or they think you do.
One, two, free, five, six... luvit :). Looks like you were making use of some nice spiral bound charts. Can you tell me what guide/book that was that you're using for the Bahamas?
It’s the Bahamas Explorer chart book. It’s amazing and very accurate for chart and route information. Not a ton of info on land or exploring information (ie reef location or things to do) but in terms of navigation, it can’t be beat.
Nice video! I am curious about your thoughts on cruising the Bahamas with a 7 foot draft. Any worse than your 6'? I know it would be harder than a 5 foot, just curious how much?
We actually only draw 6 on this boat. So it’s not too bad! Jealous of our catamaran friends, but really haven’t felt too limited.
The kid sounds like Michael Corleone’s wife in godfather two counting the days of the week
The answer to your question is pet a shark, cause pigs are unpredictable.
