This is a criminally underrated video. In addition to simply ranking and explaining each, you go through and give us your game plan and situational hierarchy which helps wrap our minds around the tactics. Keep up the great work!
100 percent agree
Oh Nurgle above, I always forget that Anti-infantry are crits when I use Ferric Blight .
Hard to trigger the conditions for it though!
Kicked out the room for this 🫡🎉
This might be the best video I have ever heard and seen about Death Guard. Like the top comment says, this is criminally underrated. I will be sharing tbis with my team just so they can listen to the part about CP rerolls which applies to everone in the game.
Keep up the great work friend!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the kind words and shall definitely keep at it!
My favourite CP reroll is when I have to use it to save Mortarion because I failed a 2+
Too real
Just don't be like me and reroll it into another 1 75% of the time
I swear to god every time I attack with him in melee I get at least two ones to hit.
This is another stellar master class. It has everything from the basics to advanced scenarios. Love it!
Did not realize anti infantry + ferric blight combos. Anti infantry flamers about to go ham
You commented on using sanguinous flux vs a C'tan. I would suggest people keep in mind that the harder it is to wound, the worse sustained gets. The standard 10PM with characters get around 1 or 2 wounds on average out of this strat against a C'tan depending on sustained 1/2. You get much more value using this to wipe marines etc. Math vs C'tan for context. 15 Heavy attacks and 21 plague knives get 5 and 7.66 crits on 5+. Sustained 1 vs c'tan you generate around 3 extra saves or 6 with sustained 2.
Very helpful as ever and with stuff I’d completely missed!
great infos keep going!
Boulblight does have a few instances where it is less good like going first so T2 you want to shoot something but nothing is in current contagion range... but overall all i very much love this awesome information. Some examples you put out i never even thought about! ❤❤
One niche use I love with boilblight is with a Hellbrute. If I really need something dead, tagging that enemy unit with the hellbrute early and following up with my damage dealers to pick it up has saved me a lot of headache.
You can use cloud of flys and smokescreen on the same turn if you have the CP for it
You are excellent!
thanks for this, i always wondered how to use the heavy/ignore strat since i didn't get the army wide hint
Awesome channel
Been painting DG for about a year, enjoying learning how to play (3 games deep) this channel has been great!
Cloud of flies is what I mainly use. It seems to affect the most amount of dice role for one cp.
Cloud of Flies is great!
10/10, so helpful
It’s going to be a good Monday!
Yeah I accidentally did the ferric blight with a FBD spewing vs a squad of marines at a mini tournament last weekend...... Keeping that one in mind 🤣🤣
Dodging battleshock tests with Gift of Decay is big brain and I love it
Cloud of Flies being a worse version of Dark Obscuration feels bad...
Love the content here. Question; is there a Disgustingly Resilient Discord?
Hooray!
Literally have changed my original impression of our strats, they are actually pretty damn good
I’m having a hard time deciding between 2 Plagueburst Crawlers or 2 units or 2 Myphitic Blight Haulers for anti-tank. My list does include Mortarion, and I can swap one of my Deathshroud leaders between a Lord of Virulence or a Sorcerer. Can you give me your thoughts between the two options please?
I need to use boil blight more.
So I don’t think boilblight works that way as far as sequencing based on the “effect” because it says “targets” so if you call boilblight after targeting the unit you won’t benefit from it. So to benefit you have to call it before targeting.
It definitely works that way iv had it ruled by multiple judges at multiple events itc wtc rules. Your weapon is still targeting the unit even if boilblight is played after the initial target decision. Weapons aren't stat or ability locked when targeting is made or things like extra ap on 6s from ferric blight wouldn't work. It's just a weird quirk due to the lack of restrictions on the strats timing.
Death Guard!!!
I have a technical question about gifts of decay. Since a objective is stated to be infected at the end of your command phase and gifts of contaigon is just stated to be in your command phase, since we decide on the order of operations, can we decide to use the strat after an objective is infected ?
Indeed you can!
For real? Wow
Did not know I could use gift of decay before a battleshock test. I thought I had to roll battleshock to see if I could even use the heal strat
Due to timing you can use the strat at the start of the command phase before any battleshock tests need to be taken
@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien and how about the extra SP strat after declaration of attacks and after an opponent can't use armor of contempt?
New to DG.
Not really getting the best setup for a 10 man Plague marine unit.
I'd like the best set up for pure shooting. What weapons and how many do I take, and who is the best leader/s for 10man shooting unit ?
Please help me
Can you explain it like I'm 5
Pure Shooting id go
Sergent with plasma gun and heavy plague weapon
2 Marines with Blight Launchers
2 Marines with Plasma or Melta (depending on what you prefer)
2 Marines with Plague Spewers
3 Marines with Bolters
Tallyman . Makes the Unit hit on 2s
Biologous Putrifier - Gives all weapons lethal hits and critical hits on 5s and 6s
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien thank you . That's exactly I needed.
Other questions. I gather having 2 tallyman. Wouldn't allow 2 CP generation per turn ?
But can I use the 2 free grenade strat with Biologis
Or is it. One unit can use grenade for 1 CP
Then the Biologis can use for free ?
THANK U
@@Michaelkayslay One unit must pay for the grenade strat the other uses the ability for free. We used to be able to use all the free ones in the same turn and could drop 4 grenades in a turn but they nerfed it haha
As for tallyman stacking, having 2 tallymen would let you roll twice for the cp but you can still only generate the extra 1 cp
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien thank you !!. My absolute last question !!!. What is the absolute best deathshroud melee killing unit?
I have typhus, chaos sorcerer in term armour and a lord of contagion models. And 3 desthshorud
Help me put the fear of nurgle into my enemies !
I boilbright only works with one death guard unit against the target unit?
Nope, You need one unit to trigger it but the benefit is for all Death Guard units in your army
@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien ohhhh that makes sense now, thanks for the clarification
