    In my experience, it’s not easy finding someone decent to do lawn care or any other service. When you get someone good pay them fairly.

    I had to fire the Weed and Feed service that my wife hired. I wanted to hire them to clean up the back of the property, Kudzu, and green Briar which was about 20 feet deep, but they would not even talk with me unless we were a customer of their service. They came in and did their 5 applications a year, which killed the backyard to concrete clay. Not their fault once I found out that the owner prior dragged the Berhumda lawn with a makeshift set of drags. But, the Lawn Care experts that they sent to my house sprayed my garden of Hostas and by dragging their hose broke all of the stems and then sprayed my Hardy Hibiscus plants. I went over to speak with the owner of Barefoot and was told too bad so sad, paraphrasing. I asked about the assistance with the Kudzu and Greenbriar and was told that they were too busy to help a residential customer. I fired them. Sometimes companies are just too big to really help you. I DIY my weed and feed now and I have restored the lawn to about 95% in a year. Thank you for making the weed identify video, I am from the north and retired from the military in the south and these weeds are a little different.

    You can mow and blow at the same time as long as you do 2 to 3 passes in between the concrete area and you don’t have a side discharge.

    Was that $100 each service or $100 a month. How big was the property? How long did it take to service the property? Did they provide a great service?

    Thanks Jason, just had one of these type experiences, my national lawn co. Sprayed 5 of my azaleas on Apr 14 with a combo of Barricade, Clash (Dicamba), and Rhomene MCPA. They only sprayed a small area on each plant. The leaves have turned yellow or dropped at this point 7 days later. I can’t find anything telling me they have a chance to make it since 2 of the products are systemic. I haven’t spoken first hand with anyone who knows anything with the company. I think they sprayed on a windy day when I pulled the weather history but also seems sloppy work played a huge part. Any suggestions on dealing with this service and how to save the azaleas ? Thanks for all the vids !

    Here’s a question for you? What if you have them that you’re not responsible for any damage due to soon certain circumstances. I had this one lady she had weeds in her garden bed. That were probably about 3 foot. Maybe a little bit taller couldn’t see she has statues and solar lights in there I told her she would have to remove any breakable items from the garden bed because we were not gonna be liable because we cannot tell what was in there. She proceeded to not remove one thing the grass was growing through everything you could not tell what was there and what was it. My trimmer ended up chopping two of the Walmart solar lights at thestem to tell us we were careless and didn’t care and blah blah blah. Yes I didn’t care because I had you sign the form that removed the stuff because I wasn’t gonna be liable for breaking your stuff, I told you the risks which is why I don’t trim beds like that normally. And she pursuit, even though I had her sign the paper and told her upfront, and she proceeded to ignore me. Am I at fault for going through with the project or just saying no I’m not replacing that because you signed that I wasn’t gonna be liable for breaking anything considering you were on the

    I had a gentleman, I literally trimmed the shrubs. He had four hours worth of shrubs. And they were big shrubs that he wanted to cut down pretty far. He’s like why didn’t you put a tarp underneath them? One they’re too big for a tarp, two when I quoted you for the tarp time, you said no. So we did the standard trimming we took care of all the debris. There was like three branches about 3 inches long left in one of his bushes. It was my fault. He literally was like this is unacceptable. This is ridiculous. This is not cleaning up good enough. I’m like we literally left no debris in your Pinestraw in any of your other bushes that we did and you found three branches and you’re blowing it out of proportion. Proceeded to say you didn’t do it correctly. I gave him a discount initially because we didn’t get to do his Japanese maple that day because my ladder broke. This man was unreasonable and ridiculous in the six years I’ve been doing this. I’ve had two complaints on shrubs and one I was cutting pompous grass in 30 mile an hour wind, which I have rescheduled. Yes, it was against my better judgment. It was over 150 Pompas grasses so I’d say we got 8085% of it but the rest blew way way everywhere. but if you find three or 43 inch piece of branches when your shrubs are 8 foot tall and you have us cut them down to 4 foot and then shape them up as well and they were probably 4 foot wide 12 foot long and 8 foot high. And this man found three branches. Basically the size of a paper plate was the amount of debris he found in his yard. I’m sorry I’m not picking up that much to me. That’s an acceptable amount for his property. I literally told him you know. I’m just not coming back to your place. You’re not realistic. I’m not very customer service oriented, but you literally won’t pay for the time that takes to do it the way you want it and then you complain about it to me very considering it’s been six years and I’ve been doing shrubs every season in mass and I’ve only had two complaints. I’m sorry that customers are not realistic. I’ve had several people down here that I’ve gotten rid of because they literally would follow you around and stand over your shoulder while you’re working and there’s this one guy there’s one piece of grass we missed in a vinyl white fence spout 6 foot High blade grass was stuck in between the corner of the fence was probably 2 inches higher than the rest of the grass my trimmer happened to miss it. He literally called me across his acre property and said you missed a strand of grass, one strand of grass. Wedged in the corner of the fence. I’m not saying it was acceptable to be missed, but you literally could not see it from anywhere in the yard unless you were walking within 10 foot of the fence.

    My grandmother hired a local lawn care service in her last few years of life, they charged her $100 to come out and mow/edge the lawn. They mowed the lawn two times a month.
    In my opinion, they took advantage of my grandmothers funds.

    I have a rental and it has a mixture of about 40% centipede, 30% Bermuda, and 30% weeds. Most of the weeds are Dallisgras. I don’t want to pay to sod. How can I promote the Bermuda to take over so I can attack the Dallas with round up in the winter?

    • @vancelyndon3416
      @vancelyndon3416 8 дней назад

      Here’s your best tip for dallis in centipede ….Move. Bermuda will not overtake centipede unless you spray the centipede out or over fertilize it to the point it checks out anyways. Dallis in Bermuda yea roundup in the fall. But that doesn’t work on centipede. It will have severe damage next spring/summer where you spot treated. Main reason no applicators really like centipede. Grassy weeds like that are nearly impossible to treat and keep customers happy.

    Fired my lawn care guy. We agreed on higher price because of reel mower and collect grass clippings. Well after 3 cuts he stopped using the reel mower. And then stopped collecting grass clippings. I wanted reel mower because Bermuda grass looks great cut low with a reel mower. Excuse after excuse, all season. Fired.
