Elvis lifted the hearts and minds of the masses. So many people from all walks of life miss him terribly. Those people are called fans and I so understand the affect Elvis had upon them. We' d all love Elvis, Buddy Holley, The big Boppa and scores of others to still be with us, but sadly, they've been taken from us. He was close to God and prayed before each show. He was just a down to earth boy, Always giving things away, he loved to make others smile. That was his happiness.

When I first met Elvis at a awiming pool in Shreveport La. before he cut his first record. W all used to get in trouble playing pool tag. Almost got kicked out several time. I remember a little girl 6 or 7 asked me one day to take her across the deep part, I said little girl I am laying here in the sun and I don't feel like swiming. She wouldn't take no for an answer. She said Elvis carries me across( she had seen us to gether not because Elvis was well know). I wonder if she rememberd.

The last engagement of 75 or the beginning of 76 was two weeks. 14 shows times 2 = 28. He stayed with this schedule on the road and in Vegas.....2 weeks on and two weeks off until he died.
