  • Dear friends
I’m sure you’d have noticed my new episode’s icon, since the existing icon has been used for 2 years, I thought perhaps changing to a new icon would bring better fung shui, since my viewership is dropping. In case you didn’t know, the drawing of my icon is rendered by the best caricature artist in Malaysia (according to the late Tan Sri Lim). He is none other than Lum Weng Wah, who happened to be my ex-colleague cum great pals. Not only did he put in great effort and time to render this icon, the existing icon was also done by him. In case you’ll looking for a great caricature artist, I can get him for you. Meanwhile, please go out there and support the local street food, be it in Subang USJ4 or otherwise. Thanks, and catch you in the next.

Elmo, you're very informative with the opening. Glad you share childhood and still remember the sweet memory with your kind grandpa. You are now the advanced version of your granpa for your grandchildren. 🍻 🥂 🍻

Yes ! Hopefully we can have some peaceful days drinking our beer (with good Shandung peanuts ) and savoring Bak Kut Teh for more days , years to come after the recent election. I can't agree more Elmo. This episode has all the hawker center "must have" foodstalls and with the additional dessert stalls parked just outside restaurant Apollos. A very good choice and a great spot to include in your food haunts series. When it comes to the "Yue Wat" ( aka as fish paste ) - fond memories of the classical "Hor Hee" noodles, fresh fried vegetables / fried noodles with yee wat comes to mind. Getting hungry after watching this episode and guess I'll get a good Wat Tarn Hor from my favorite stall now. Thank you again Elmo for your effort. Yatt Lau ! Mou Tat Deng !!!. 👍👍👍👌👌👌

Good presentation with English subtitles for those who don't speak Cantonese. So far, all the food reviews were okay only (from your hand gesture). If you give a thumbs-up, people may be more tempted to try the food!

hello uncle elmo, i see you have a new thumbnail 👍your childhood must be filled with great memories going out with your grandpa for bf. I can't say the same for me as my grandpa is a very stingy man (kiam siap kooi) Speaking of bf, old hainanese coffee shops never go out of style... just being there evokes a certain kind of nostalgia that modern eateries do not have.
Take care and you have my best wishes - chris fr Sea park

Elmo, enjoy all your reviews immensely. Keep up the good work. Just had lunch at New Appollos, sorry to say IMHO the Char Kuey Teow is quite horrendous. Totally no wok hei. Also, he gave me a large portion when I never even asked for it and charged me accordingly. Not a very good way to build a business based on neighbourhood customers. Taste is subjective tho. Just want to give my 2 sen. The curry rice and hakka noodles are great. Cheers

The best thing about this shop is the ample parking...if no vacant parking spaces in front of the shop, just park at the side main road, so near (pasar malam site)
.... food prices are expected ,except the nasi kandar prices are high.

Teh at Apollo is disappointing. It uses a condensed milk that actually tastes like evaporated milk. Overall drinks not really that good, made by immigrant workers. Food-wise Soo Kee beef hor fun, the best. Rest, average not as articulated by this video.
For good chicken rice, the other shop at the other end, is very good.
For Pan Mee, to me Lian Heng in USJ1 the best. Curry Mee, SS13 flat is very good.
My point for convenience, then Apollo is ok, not that good as described by this video.
