My experience in playing in a academy in Canada is pretty cool. I joined the whitecaps fc academy when I was 10. At the time I was the best on my local team but when I joined the academy I was probably one of the worst. That took a blow to my mental health in sport and I didn’t want to play anymore because the other kids would tease me because I was not as good. After 3 years of playing I was finally the best on the academy team and the coaches really started to notice me and I got to play a year up. I am now playing in the U15 division and doing very well and overall I would say it’s been a crazy experience. As Nathan and Lorenzo said definitely not for everyone

Good advice but applicable to the UK cause our football is high intensity, 1 v 1 dominate, speed and strength. However the biggest thing would be "effectiveness" or as the young boy said "stand out". Also your touch is important. Touch means how you receive the boy - needs to be proper. Move the ball confidently etc. Good video

I’m 15(female)…I only play for my school team,I have had many coaches,players and even referees tell me I’m really good,and that I have potential but I don’t know how to get to where I wanna be.I just don’t know where to start

If your living in England there are academy tryouts. For example my friend is going to try out for the Manchester city girls club. If you live I’m USA there are lots of mls leagues (I currently play for the whitecaps girls academy in Canada) but it’s super important to do lots of research and contact coaches! Good luck

join a local team, eat a lot of good food, train as much as you can, have a good diet and good nights sleep. Make sure to always be motivated and do your best to never give up on your dreams! I'm still trying to and I keep getting closer and closer
