Tom Hicks is a gem. This issue so needs more attention in our modern evangelical day. I first learned the law/gospel distinction through his podcast (the modern marrow men, a great further resource on this discussion)
How would we consider psalm 15 in light of this discussion. Psalm 15 A Psalm of David. [1] O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill? [2] He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; [3] who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; [4] in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; [5] who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. Pastor Tom is one of my go to preachers for many things Bible . Absolutely love his preaching and teaching, he is much like our pastor Mark Hogan in style and presentation. Thanks for having him on your program, the more I listen to your program brother Daniel , the more I trust your instincts.

Psalm 15
A Psalm of David.
[1] O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent?
Who shall dwell on your holy hill?
[2] He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
[3] who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
[4] in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the LORD;
who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
[5] who does not put out his money at interest
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.

We should not support those who take brides (would that include those supported directly by lobbyists…?)
