Have done the big 4 sand island trips , Moreton Island, my favourite . I loved it when you could get the barge from Scarborough ( as I lived on Redcliffe Peninsula). It's so untouched, with very few ppl , unlike the others .
The best surf on Moreton is near the lighthouse on the northern tip. There is a small track to walk down to it . If you look across from honeymoon bay you can just see it 🏄♂️
Congratulations guys, so, so happy and proud of you both. Thank you for being brave, sharing your travels, ups and downs, creativity, infectious humour, Aussie slang, electrical and out door knowledge. Team work makes the dream work. Another classic vlog! You’re reading your LC200 compass backward, it’s pointing SE even though it’s in NW corner of the circle, it’s not very intuitive…

Went to Moreton Island once, about 45 years ago. It was so unspoiled then & looks like it's still not too over commercialized. Good camping set up guys. 😊
Great ep again guys - thank you - I live across the bay from Moreton so have only ever been there by boat - great place ah - fishing is great too. Safe travels legends - hope you snorkelled the wrecks on a clear vis day - it is truly beautiful.

Thanks for watching mate, We love the pot and pan set! Use it everyday!! Thanks again! Remember our SKT5 code next time and might save some money for ya!
Where'd the time go? Must be havin' fun. I couldn't see the van but I'm sure it was good being an Urban. How was the comfort of the swag? I like the packing size of it.
I generally lock my centre diff on sand even if it’s not overly boggy. Mainly to disable traction control. In some scenarios traction can destroy your brakes in sand.
Whats traction control , if u turn that off u wont get traction dosnt make sence , old school me in an old cruiser got no idea with this push button modern stuff 😅
That's cause they're not turning off "traction control". The squiggly lines button is "Stability Control". Once it's de-activated the brakes don't engage trying to stabilise the car, hence defeating forward progress however, the traction control feature is still active and does still play a roll in keeping forward momentum occuring. Should a wheel lose traction, traction control still briefly brakes the spinning wheel. So looking forward to K'gari, cause it more prestigious than Moreton.
False Ian. If you press the TC button stability control turns off and if you hold that button for 5 seconds it turns of traction control aswell, Both are garbage on the beach. Traction control also does not keep the car moving forward. The accelerator peddle does that.
@@SarahandKeelanTravels thanks for clarifying, I took it as just switching of S/C, as so many are not aware of difference between S/C & T/C switching, even supposedly experienced 4WD journos, hmm. It's S/C (stability control) that's crap on the beach, it'll bog any vehicle ASAP on loose sand, usually not an issue on hard sand, but better off regardless prior to entering beach. Curious, have you tried leaving the T/C (traction control) on? If you haven't tried it, give it a go, just kill S/C initially. T/C normally benefits as if you have a wheel loose traction, before you're even aware of it as a driver the ECU has delved in, dabbed the brakes and delivered drive to opposing axle. I'm contrary to your belief, I find T/C is actually good on beach or any surface basically. Again,if you haven't tried it, give it a go. Basically the only time you'd want it off is when diff locks are engaged and the ECU does that automatically if diff locks are factory. Mate, if you're currently on or been to K'gari, how's the pristine west coast been? Awesome, isn't it? Waiting to know if "Keith" tailed you 🤔.
Great vid. So question, now that you’ve done Moreton, Straddie, you’ve camped in the Northern NSW, I imagine you’ve got to Fraser by now, and you still have to try out camping inland Qld, do you still think camping is better in WA than SE Qld / Northern NSW?!
Thanks mate! We love it over here but we also still love our home state and we know where we can catch 5/5 star fish and have no neighbours for kilometres right on the ocean! One thing we wish we had over WA is this climate and water temp it’s awesome how good is it!! Queensland is awesome we could live here
Did Fraser with our camper trailer, but the wife is peaking taking the van on to Fraser ( I think it will be fine )....anyway, going to do Moreton next Feb'. Looks easy to catch fish....weren't they legal size? Almost makes me want to take up fishing....lol.....Do you think 2 weeks is too long? My wife loves the beach, and is a water baby for sure.......maybe a week is plenty, as the island isn't that big...... Safe Travels Daz
Next time we do Moreton we will be taking the van 100%! You’ll love it darrin and yes you’ll be 100% fine with the van! I reckon you need atleast 7 days on Moreton!! Next week is part 2 of Moreton which will show more of the island!! Thanks Daz
Really depends on what you like to do? I could easily relax by the beach & go fishing, cooking, swimming & snorkelling & other stuff, for a few weeks no trouble. Just be careful if snorkelling around the wrecks as the current can be strong. If you are a need to be doing something all the time kind of person then take the footy or badminton or whatever you like to do, in between exploring the island.
Great episode guy's. Hey Keelan you're wrong bro, the earth is flat. You'll see when you're at the beach. Look at that flat ocean. Water always finds a level surface!
That’s gravity bro, the earth is round, meaning it rotates on a near perfectly balanced axis and speed creating a uniform gravitational pull of 9.8m/s! like when you spin a full bucket of water around your head and it dosnt spill everywhere, even though it’s upside down. The centripetal force keeps the water flat and in the bucket, this motion and centripetal force is acting the same as gravity is on the earths surface! When we do night lapses of the stars at night for 10 hours you can literally see the earth rotating through space. Also why it’s currently night time in most of Australia and it’s fully day time over seas!
@@SarahandKeelanTravels Buoyancy and Density. Gravity is just a made up theory. All you have to do is have an open mind and look with the eyes that God gave you and you'll find the answers. oh and follow #flatearth 🌞

Thanks Damon!! Mate have no idea how you watched the whole video in 11 minutes when it’s a 22minute video haha 😂😂
@@SarahandKeelanTravels hahah ngl as soon as I saw that ferry open I was ready to comment. As if the rest wasn't going to be good. Then sure enough moments later you are pumping up that swag come on hahah

Where'd the time go? Must be havin' fun. I couldn't see the van but I'm sure it was good being an Urban. How was the comfort of the swag? I like the packing size of it.
Hahah that’s good to hear Malc!! Swag is moderately comfortable! Since we put a little duvet on the matress and it’s awesome now!!
awesome vid guys! kept hearing 'fairy' every time keelan said ferry, great picture of him riding on the back of a fairy over to moreton
Hahaha I honestly say both those words the exact same, didn’t know there was a difference 😂 might just be the oka in the accent haha
Ferry as in berry
Hey Keegan, what’s the fuel consumption like pulling the Invisible 3000? Glenn.
It’s only 0.1L extra towing it compared to not towing! It’s crazy mate haha
Woooooot!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼
yeeeeetttt
Did you guys ever upgrade your suspension? Tried looking at previous videos but couldn't find anything
Yeah bought it with a 3.6t gvm in it then went and upgraded again to 4t gvm! Just the old man emu arb jobby
I generally lock my centre diff on sand even if it’s not overly boggy. Mainly to disable traction control. In some scenarios traction can destroy your brakes in sand.
thanks mate, in the cruiser you just have to hold the TC button for 5 seconds and it fully turns it off!
False Ian. If you press the TC button stability control turns off and if you hold that button for 5 seconds it turns of traction control aswell,
Both are garbage on the beach.
Beautiful
Thanks mark!!
How many days to spend in Moreton? four or five days? I need to plan it. Cheers

@SarahandKeelanTravels cheers bud....
