I really appreciate the back and forth communication! It's helps the layman (me) relate to the feel of my development! Women and men do throw a little different but your tutorials are on point in my development, so thank you!
This is so great! I started playing disc golf, my boyfriend happens to be a little known in the disc golf community and I have a lot of anxiety over learning. Thank you so much for sharing this video!
Yes! I feel FPO players’ form is more consistent and easier to study. Knowing that women have a lower center of gravity, how exactly should that affect our form? (ie be more / less leaned over, rotate on xxx point, etc)
On average, majority of women are shorter than most men which means most males have a higher center of gravity which in return makes the disc stay in the air longer. Of course there’s other variables involved such as (muscle mass, bone density, proper form etc) 😊
The principles of a throw are the same Sandra like sequence and timing. What you searching for though is that women needs more forward lean to put a better lever arm to our glutes and the demand on sequence (wind up) in throwing for women are higher than with men that with more muscle mass can generate more armspeed but less of a sequence if he´ll like. Hope this help!
Im pretty sure as a guy I can take away some good pointers here as well. Lead with the elbow for instance. That sounds pretty gender neutral to me. I am 58 and am trying to get to 300ft. I have to utilize every aspect of form correctness to reach that goal, and this video is key in my opinion.
I definitely tried it early on but it never felt quite right, I was always afraid of a griplock so other grips just felt safer to me... Kara showed me how to hold it a little lighter so the fear of the griplock wasn't nearly as bad! Still definitely nervous to implement it fully but I'm excited to keep trying!
Not everyone will know what a power grip is in the first year. Casey did but she never actually tried to implement earlier on due to fear of grip lock. No need for the hostility 👍🏻😄
I played for 4 years before I tried a power grip. I would throw with that guiding finger on the edge of the disc for years! Didn't try the power grip until I started getting serious about my form... so yeah

You are so welcome!
Nice drop! Informative. Nice to see the progression.
Thanks

Nice content..bravo
Thank you 🙌
Good job with the training 👍
Thanks!
That shoulder thing might be my problem with distance. Thanks, I'm going to try working on that.
Would love to hear an update on your form!
Great tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, good content. I learn more from watching FPO tour players, since their form is so consistent.
Great to hear!
another great one! i am learning so much from you kara. gotta get out in a field and just practice some of this. thanks you!!! 🛴❤
So cool. I may see if there’s a local disc golf instructor at some point for a lesson. Seems like such a great way to fast track progress

Kara Lee is one of my favorite to watch, she's very good at disc golf, sweet and is a smoke show! Where's the rest of you gals like her?! Lol

I think you're talented. Do you play tournaments?
my dad doesn't get it when I tell him that I am built different and I throw different and bowl different.
Playing for 8 months and never tried a power grip, yeah right
