"Rolling Thunder" motorcycle protest rides into Canadian capitals

- Months after a protest convoy paralyzed Ottawa, the nation's capital is bracing for another round of disruptive protests with the "Rolling Thunder" motorcycle rally.
People associated with the group Freedom Fighters Canada already gathered Friday on Parliament Hill for a rally and march through Ottawa. The group had strong links to the convoy occupation earlier this year, with its members associated with anti-mandate and anti-government protests throughout the pandemic.
Dan Spector explains how police are getting ready and how some people are planning a counter-protest.

Rolling Thunder, like the Freedom Convoy, will be not protesting about the Covid-19 mandates which have helped to keep us alive and well during the pandemic (face masks, gloves, hand sanitizing, no bodily contact, social distancing of 6 feet/2 metres). They are about removing the current sitting government, just like the insurrectionists before them (Freedom Convoy, the Federation du Liberate Quebec - FLQ). Remember their leadership was arrested and sentenced to prison sentences. FLQ was thrown out of Canada into exile; Freedom Convoy leaders were told to never set foot in Ontario again.

I believe the bikers were also upset about how violence and force was used against veterans protesters by police in Ottawa in February. They were treated pretty horribly 😞.

I don't respect these "protests" because my rights are still intact and if the government actually does infringe on any of my right without justification, I will look to the courts to rectify the situation. The reason the courts don't side with these "protestors" is because these "protestors" are wrong and the government can limit rights as per section 1 of the Charter if there is cause to do so. Currently the courts believe there is cause.
@@indie_princess Too bad I believe in the mandates, though I think they were poorly implemented and enforced. I have a very active life, yoga and dance classes, currently, and can even travel, but choose not to because it isn't necessary. I am only inconvenienced at worst by being asked to wear a mask or keep my distance. I am not selfish because I chose to get vaccinated to help protect those that can not legitimately be vaccinated. And I am not a Karen because I am not "protesting" what I believe are my imaginary rights that don't exist.
