How are you surprised? Tupac says it himself on the track "Now you 'bout to feel the wrath of a menace" He wasn't joking. He declared war on all of Bad Boy, Mobb Deep, Chino XL and anyone else that was supporting Biggie or talked about the situation. This was him letting everyone know what time he was on and to warn them because he was not gonna back down now as long as he was alive

This wasnt a simple "Diss" , normally disstracks are supposed to Hurt and Humiliate the other side with Words and Rhymes ; this was a straight up threat of violence and death ;this goes amiles beyond a simple disstrack, these were straightup threats and promises . it was on sight at this point

Pac was never in the streets like that, he spoke for the streets though in his music. Like I said playing Gangsta got him killed. I was 16 when this song came out. In the 90s, " smoke " in the way that he's using it meant shoot & kill. So he was telling Puffy that he would kill 1 of Junior Mafia members fight in front of his face with no problem.
