damn i live here and only make 30K. Sometimes i think people are inflating their numbers by alot. Some of them are making more then my father who is a cardiovascular nurse for the past 37 yrs for 110-125K a yr in So Cal.
Massage Therapist here 👋🏾. All of what the last guy said is true. I’m leaving the field due to lack of stable income. I’m looking to pivot into tech. I love your videos.
People usually say before taxes. After taxes is weird because part is taken out of your paycheck and then at the end of the year, you pay more or get money back.
I think pay transparency is very important.... you work hard, you get paid. You don't work hard, you get fired within a few weeks. I have always hired and promoted who I want. Even though I'm a male, my businesses have always been 99% female workers, but if the 'right' male would apply, I'd hire him... but it's rare. Probably 50% White, 30% Mexican, 15% American Indian and at the most 5% black. I would have no problem hiring more Mexican or American Indian people. My best friend since 1989 is from India but I would never hire anyone from India and to keep the drama down, I try not to hire black workers. Do I not hire because of their color? No, I don't usually hire them because of how they act when you get more than 1 in the same place. Do I care if a person is gay or what ever? I care about if you are doing the work correctly, what you do in your own time is your business. Some of my best workers AND customers have been lesbians.... hell, I'm a lesbian in a mans body!
@@ATLMike94 I could care less if you believe me 🤣 I'm sure if the boss/ owner is a dick (((cough... ATLMike94))) it won't work no matter what pay structure you use. I'm just telling you how I made my wealth, that's the pay structure I used and 100% of the people that worked for me loved it.
That first couple is exactly what I envision when I think Portland , OR😂

@@haleysalz1770 Project Management certificate.
Product manager and business consultant both BS, but business consultants are definitely supposed to be making more than a product manager.
How are women a marginalized group if they are a majority of the population, a majority of the work force, and a majority of college graduates?
Thats the key...they arent. Theyre encouraged and propped up. The exact opposite of marginalized. Especially in college, where she works.
Going to need that kind of money to pay rent in Portland.
How can a guy be an attorney for that long and only making 100k? That's just wrong.
Everybody in Portland looks woke
Yes indeed
what the hell does that even mean?
Ms Hannah we know what you do but can you tell us how much you make? 😅
He's so right about massage therapy right now. And, it's a physically demanding job that doesn't make a ton of money.
I should have been a mechanic.
Can always switch. Might be hard during the transition period but it’ll be worth it once you’re on other end
Not to mention the crappy benefits.
Nice video!
Are people providing their income after taxes?
When you ask these kind of questions in USA, is it common to reply before or after taxes?
People usually say before taxes. After taxes is weird because part is taken out of your paycheck and then at the end of the year, you pay more or get money back.
