Thanks for feedback. Actually, K-Mart in Australia and New Zealand is a separate entity from the K-Mart brand in the U.S. While they share the same name, the Australian and New Zealand K-Mart stores are owned by the Wesfarmers group, not the original U.S.-based company.
@@Whoremembersusa - That may be so now, BUT Kmart Australia Limited was originally created out of a joint venture between G.J Coles & Coy Limited (Coles) and the S.S. Kresge Company, owner of Kmart USA.
Trump won't do it, but a Dem gov't should bail out and help reestablish K-Mart so that Walmart won't have a monopoly. They can compete and make the prices lower for all us commoners. (Target is so expensive now that it's not really a discount store anymore.)
Reviving a retail chain like K-Mart would be a challenging proposition for any government, including a Democratic administration. K-Mart's decline stemmed from intense competition, outdated stores, and poor management decisions over decades. :)
What's your most vivid memory of shopping at Kmart? Let's hear those stories in the comments!
I loved going with my grandmother to k mart 😢. I miss that. I was 5 years old.
I remember k Mart in Tulsa in the seventies and eighties
The stores were often bustling with activity, and Kmart held a special place in the memories of those who grew up shopping there during that time.
@@Whoremembersusa I remember patients who I was at children's medical center with in Tulsa getting shoes there when I was six years old in 1978
I brought a. Pot. From Kmart in 203
That's awesome!
There are 324 branches of K-Mart operating in Australia and New Zealand. Not the same, you say? Go look!

@@Whoremembersusa Yeah, precisely! This why I recommended it now, since we're no longer a "democracy".
