I paid for a design few months ago & I was not given access to use it but money was deducted so I don't know if canva is for us in Nigeria or we are excluded. I want a canva pro but I'm scared because of my experience with the design payment. Also there was no way to contact the company incase the transaction go wrong.
If you add a green background to canva, then when you download the GIF/animation, you can add the "Keyer" effect to remove the green background from your editing software, so that your animation is now transparent :)

It would be great if Canva can create an assortment of brushes. The round brush doesn't work well on straight edges. Also if they can work on improving the background eraser; that will be great also, it Doesn't do a good job on some of my images, I have a lot of clean up to do afterwards.. Straight Edge Brush will be Great.. Work on it Canva Team!! Thank you..
Don't have erase and restore buttons in Pro version I use obviously developers have changed things as they normally do when the update can't leave working features alone
It's not really a bulk functionality, but you can bring several photos to your page and run BG Remover on all of them at once. This could help speed up the process a bit 😎
Thanks so much - I'm still struggling with the background remover as I need to make a logo and logo type transparent. Unfortunately, the background remover takes away all the lettering and can't be restored unless I bring back the background. Any idea how to sort? Thanks! :)
Hi Rob, I'd suggested you open the logo document and download as PNG but make sure to activate the box that says "Transparent background". Like this you don't need to use the Background remover feature and your logo will look crisp and very professional 🥰

By the way I have noticed sometimes that you zoom a bit out from your chrome tabs. Do you do that for getting a bird's eye view? As everything will be visible, we have to scroll less etc.

Please Help! I am using Canva to remove a background from an image I took with my camera. Removing the background has been simple so far. The problem is "after" I remove the background. There is "empty space" all around the border of the image. If I try to crop out the empty space, portions of the image edges are removed too, especially if the image isn't perfectly straight. I am trying to start an online small business and have been stuck for several days with this issue. Hope this makes sense 😞
When you double-click on your image, you should be able to crop it. Drag the edges of the image (grab them by their white handles) and resize your image as you wish to get rid of the empty space.

Yes, Background Remover is a Pro feature. We mention that at the beginning of the video. It does make sense that Canva charges for such an amazing feature in my opinion 🤔

You can use Remove Background from your computer, phone or tablet. As long as you have a Canva Pro subscription as this is a Pro feature.

is there to remove backgrounds on a logo, like the graphics?
If it's a photo, then yes.
You can export your graphic as a PNG or JPEG first, re-upload it into Canva and then run the BG remover on it.

Make sure you export in .PNG and tick the box that says "Transparent BG". You obviously need a Pro account for that to work.
