That is pretty cool. I have one as well as an Icom 7300 for my 10 meter operations. I’m not sure I want to pay for those mods but I applaud the efforts to squeeze as much as possible into that rig. Very impressive:)
Good to see you going all out on these little power houses. I love mine! Has some mods for power and a little audio but not as much as you did to this one. Wouldn't mind another one fully modified. Great little radio's. Drives my 4 pill nice.
Would the mod you done also work as direct injection? If not can you do that? I'm interested in running my rack gear with direct injection. I run it now through my 5555 n2 and it does great. But being injected without limits would be incredible!
It can be you'd just go through the mic plug or the mp3 jack but it will still be utilizing the audio chain which includes all my mods. So levels will be strong so you won't need a pre amp or if you use one back it down.
@@baylenthedogg3242 I personally am not a fan or direct inject bypassing the chain for a few different reasons. If you have questions call us at 706-384-5184
I think we spoke on the phone. It should be the same chassis as the 955 v2s I can do the hifi chain on those around 15 components for tx but it doesn't come out to the potential of the 447, 497, 955/655 v1s or Quad 6 or even the presidents at this time. So likely not worth while.
Probly about 1500 to 2000k that's what I paid for my 955 with both mics ... butbyabget what ya pay for... might be cheaper since base cost for the radionis less then a 955 stryker... get ya one.. can't go wrong
@@beekeeper213 Why would I pay for 30 upgrades inc parts( $1500-2000)? At that point, I would rather get a Icom 7300 ans cost less (do 11m conversion myself), and far more features (eg- waterfall), and comes with auto tuner (allowing both 10/11m on one antenna bringing it to a perfect SWR 1.0). Mr golden screwdriver thinks he knows more than the manufacturer. I don't mind a few alterations, but this is mucking around, ridiculous, andif you exceed specs withone single replacement.... it fails quickly. The Icom 7300 (base unit) or the Yaesu 891 (Mobile) are a far better radio, in a different class, and both you get for less. You can spend all you want on an inferior product with all those upgrades, but it still is not in the same class for features/build quality/ or clarity.
Put the icom on ssb and its far more superior. Compare quality and fullness of rx and tx on am and the Stryker with the mods will blow it away. The ham radios are sweet for ssb but might as well be a cobra 19 for am they sounds terrible.
Sounds like we have a mark Sherman bot on the feed... he says inferior product all the time... I paid for what I wanted.. I have a dx3000.. it couldn't sound like this stryker on am unless I hooked it to a rack system and so on... I bought the radio to use for a purpose.. don't knock it till ya try it

It is illegal to record someone on the cb now if Brian records someone on the Ham band that is definitely illegal the FCC monitors the Ham band if he records someone he can get his amateur radio license revoked and the fcc can conviscate his radios
Oh come on….It is not illegal to record someone on CB and clearly the FCC has not cared about CB band since my first CB in 1982. I think they are desperate to gateway anyone to RF knowledge since it can lead to skills that apparatus actually needs.

Best workmanship you will love it.
I like the audio set on 28
Hope all is well around the tip top side of Georgia 🎙️🎙️🎙️
All is well here my friend was just getting caught up. Will be starting videos again soon.
Absolutely Awesome!!!
Will all this modification also transfer to the HF side?
Nice Drail
Awesome radio sounded top shelf. By chance have you had an anytone Aries 2 on your bench yet
I have not sorry
Just a question. On the spectrum analyzer their is a signal even when your not transmitting? What’s that from?
You are seeing the signal I continuously inject for tuning rx sensitivity.
Ok. Cool. Was just wondering. Nice radio. Thanks for the great videos and great radios.
@@sramsdellwdm no problem thx for watching
My blue color on the display no longer lights up. Can you help me with that?
How much is a radio like that

@DRail1990 can you provide direct injection bypassing the audio chain, without your other mods so I can control my bandwidth with my parametric eq?

I run the quad 6 and my Am is on band D, why is that one on A?
What's up with the ear buds? Too hot for cuffs? Do you need me to send you a nice pair? J/K

Exactly what are you doing to a Stryker 447 for an additional $110? Is that what you're charging to do a cb convert and align?
