When I got a 1ml tester, I instantly fell in love with the fragrance. I am searching for a bottle that doesn't bankrupt me since like August because of that. Such a shame they discontinued it
I work in a cosmetics & fragrance store here in the UK and on our handheld terminals (Honeywell) it says it’s been discontinued when I scanned the barcode. I’m so glad I bought a bottle of it last week!
I paid £27 for a 50ml bottle as it was on clearance in my store. They had it hidden under the counter so nobody would know it was there unless they specifically asked for it!
I fell in love with this smell at first scent. Ended up buying a 6.7 ounce bottle but I only wear it during the fall so I still have well over 90% of the bottle. I'm very fortunate 💯

I wanna highlight an alternative to Prive for people but it's gonna be in the lower end of niche prices, so around Mancera prices. It's Daniel Josier Ambre Tabac. Very close to Prive but the honey note is big and it has an ultra male top note kinda sweetness running throughout it. Very high quality, i have a decant of this stuff 👍

@@47pawspa yeah Mont Blanc Individuel (Creed Original Santal) YSL L’Homme Ultime (MFK L’Homme A La Rose) were community favorites that got a niche version released. There’s another one recently that I can’t remember. Something tells me a niche house will release something similar.

I managed to snag me a 100 ml bottle of this fragrance off of eBay and I paid like $126 for it so yes the prices are getting a little bit more expensive but I think this fragrance is worth that price it smells really good and I'm glad that I was able to find a bottle at a decent price for for it to be a discontinued fragrance

Loved “Prive” I purchased it when it first came out. One of my favorite fall scents. And as luck would have it, I just used up my last sprays. Guess I should’ve ordered a backup bottle myself.

The Fragrance Apprentice did a video on this about 8 months ago. He called Paco Rabonne and they told him that it wasn't discontinued but would no longer be marketed and sold in certain parts of the world. So when they say that it's "no longer available" they may not mean outright discontinued but rather just not available in the North America region. Maybe still a glimmer of hope?
Checked their website for the european market and they've taken Prive out of those countries as well. sigh.

I was able to buy a brand new tester bottle as a backup yesterday at a small discount shop in a local outlet mall here in Vegas.
I tried to buy Prive several weeks ago, saw one on eBay and got duped with a fake. I’m late to the party and never got a chance to buy it when it was available. I’d love to be entered into the giveaway. Sad news but great video nonetheless!

What a good alternative?
Many high demand fragrances are not available in the US because they contain chemicals that are banned by the FDA. One example is butylphenyl methylpropional, which is banned as of this year. This is very common in many Paco Rabanne fragrances.

Prieve is a masterpiece for crisp autumn days. The vanilla and tobacco blend is incredible, pity that it is being discontinued. PDM herod is like a distant cousin smell wise if you cant get your hands on a bottle of prieve, but there is no replacing the smell of prieve.
Today I bought a 50mL bottle for $20. Jokingly offered $20 and they accepted. I'm keeping it but the thought has crossed my mind to sell it for a good profit right now but it may be smarter to hold on to it for a year or 2. The person I purchased it from asked for it back after they found out how much it was actually going for.
I'm feeling this fragrance line a lot. Prive is definitely one that stands out the most. Hope to win a bottle, thanx for the opportunity.

So sad this has discontinued. I've still got 25ml of it left and I've just ordered a backup bottle which wasnt cheap. I'll lock that away forever. Only comes out on a special occasion but all isn't to bad. The new elixir from paco rabanne is very similar and there's not much between the two

I have the OG 1M from 2012, I used to like it back in the day. Never smelled prive however.
I traded a bottle of the privé for another scent with a coworker because it was making my allergies act up. This was in the spring time, but now as it’s getting colder I wanted to buy it again and give it another shot in the cooler weather and now I saw yesterday online that it’s being discontinued smh. It’s was a great, powerful scent. I few like it would’ve worked out good for you me this winter. Now I have to stick with my D and G The one for winter

Mine is halfway done. Had to pay big bucks for a backup bottle from a reseller (like 120 USD shipped). That's like 2-3 weeks ago. I don't want to see the resell price ATM 😅.

It's a very nice fragrance but honestly, I won't miss it. Spicebomb Extreme, Code Profumo and even Bvlgari MIB are better designer alternatives within that scent profile, in my humble personal opinion. I would put Pure Malt/Havane in that list as well, but their current formulations are too weak so I wouldn't recommend them unless you can find old batches at a decent price.
