I'm aware of his special, I mean more stories like Jim tell,

I am glad Jim has stepped up to help ease the pain of Norm's passing. There will never be another Norm Macdonald but , that there are still guys like Jim Breuer helps a little.

He was funny. He was a real Pro. Glad there are recordings. I think I will try to find some to purchase on DVD. Like to have them. Probably pass them down to a kid later.

@@annidee to be blunt, I don't like referring to someone like Norm as a "top comedian". He was one of a kind, and you can't win anything with a one of a kind unless you're a wild card. He helped us win when we maybe weren't deserving of winning. We should all be forever in debt to his soul for his role in society but I know he would all tell us not to worry about it.. He was such a humble human being for being as great as he was.. Not like that no good bastard, Jim Breuer.. what a schmuck

As a comedian - not successful by any stretch, but I'm around the scene - comedians are by far the wildest people on the planet. No boundaries. The funny ones at least. They're chasing the dragon constantly. If you've never partied with comedians, you haven't partied.
Norm always went for the jugular. Not a single fuck given. I truly believe that he enjoyed boos as much as laughs. As long as the audience was reacting, he was satisfied.
And yet, in his calmer moments, he was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and philosophically deep. Well read, well spoken, and wise.
If it ever seemed like he was being a dick, maybe he was, but more likely he was mocking how ridiculous it was that others were taking this absurd reality seriously.
Yes, very few comics are like this, Patrice O'Neil is another one. He always said that half the audience should be laughing and the other half should be horrified. Two comics that self sabotaged their careers because they never felt like kowtowing to corporate suits. They would have opportunities to take it to the next level, and just couldn't compromise their comedy. Miss them both, because they are both needed in this current world.

Agreed!!!! Jim tells the best stories and is a really nice and humble person in real life. Always has time for fans and will make you laugh your ass off while taking a pic with you. My brother worked for him for years at SiriusXM and he was such a class act.

I just recently found out that you're a man of faith and not afraid to admit it.. that's awesome..world needs more people trying to get people to open their eyes and souls before it's too late and hopefully we've lived lives that allow us to get into heaven cause I'm always down for a good laugh

Highly recommend listening to Norms audiobook. It’s him reading it. I listened to it when I found out he passed. Instead of feeling sad, I spent those 2 days laughing the whole time to Norm. He was my favorite by a large margin
