The game starts them working at 10 hours a day 7 days a week... when you extend the shift times it is 14 hours a day 7 days a week. Overtime is 24 hours straight. I would like to see you all work 70 hours in a week eating nothing but soup or food that uses sawdust as filler. And that is just the early game... now add in -60 degrees Celsius weather to walk to your job that you have to do for 98 hours a week and if there is an emergency shift chuck an extra 10 hours onto that. the scouts in this game are the best, they aren't bitching around about going back in London after 20 days of working, they do their task and they do it good

I feel like the scouts would have the biggest ptsd and have many stories to tell, though they would be seen as a kind of mysterious and powerful force like seal team 6 but like way more mysterious. The reason being that scouts spend very little time in the city, and every time they come back it's only to deposit resources or take shelter for a day or so at a time. every time they come back the city has progressed and grown more and more and they don't stay inside nearly long enough to adapt and get used to the cities ever changing society and structure
Eh, they already had a show that featured an endless winter (i.e., Game of Thrones) and that botched it so hard at the end that I'm not sure if new viewers will be able to dissociate Frostpunk with GOT. I mean, I know the universes and genres are entirely separate with one being fantasy and the other being sci-fi steampunk. But from the perspective of first-time watchers, they might still be burned from the last time they invested themselves into an HBO show involving unnaturally long winters. To play devil's advocate to myself, I suppose it's adequately different since GOT only ever emphasized duration whereas the temps in Frostpunk seem to be far more crippling (-120 degrees celcius?!). And of course, the aesthetic is probably the largest difference (i.e.., late 19th century [i.e., 1880s] style everything )

Honestly, I don't think I've ever played a more stark or bleak game in my life. And I haven't enjoyed a game this much in many years. honestly a good part of what draws me into this game is the soundtrack. it works well with the game mechanics to make things feel just urgent enough. to make a "you lived, but at what cost?" ending inspire just a bit more emotion (i may have almost cried when i heard this after finishing the arks scenario with dead seedling arks and a half-dead new manchester... i'm hyperempathetic so that probably didn't help but... the music makes like, half of the experience in this game - it's wonderfully made)
I simply cannot comprehend my expression for this game. 11 bit studios has their way of fulfilling the right atmosphere and they knocked it out the park work this one! This game is such a masterpiece and I am looking forward for more in the near future!
You, The Overseer: “Out there it’s -150 Celsius, you won’t find your daughter out there! What you’re trying to do, it’s just not possible!” The Father: “No… It’s necessary.”
This soundtrack is just awesome! It was in my head so many times as an earworm. Another thing that got stucked in my head was "Go to work people!" every morning haha
Guys. It's been a long time since I cried during a game. Thank you so much for this amazing soundtrack and for the soul you put into creating this masterpiece.

when you are a bit emphatic, such events in the game are the ones that are hitting just in our humanity's dearest points. Remember the child sent to "repair"? Oh you all KNEW you would need an extra core right? RIGHT? the sound of cold breeze and this..makes you restart the same scenario again again..but thats enough guys..already ready for frostpunk 2..we know you are not in it for money, so what ? here is your big applause 👏👏👏
It tells you exactly what this game is gonna be about: "Having to brave an environment similar to that of Helheim (Land of the dead in Norse mythology) with a sense of hope."
In cold lands, many heroes have been lost. and brave scouts sacrificed their lives... to be a light in the dark, a trail on the horizon and hope for those left behind...
ForsakenSavior it’s awesome how there are no enemy AIs per se, yet the environment alone is an enemy. A very unique and well made game definitely. I’m kinda hoping for a sequel, but the game was so well done I’m not sure a sequel is necessary.
I will make the Captain proud. I will save the city and not compromise morals. Even if the people hate me, steam me, toss me out into the snow. To be amongst the dead i've buried. Might be my fate, but choose it, I must. For New london needs to live on.

I literally could not stop after around half of the "prepare to the storm" event began. I knew I wanted to see how the storm hits. Then I must have see it through until all the technology failed, all insulation was not good enough. This is on the pinnacle of atmosphere building
that clock ticking is just so good in here
Великолепно!!! Браво маэстро!!! Музыка полная лирики, напряжения, отчаянья и надежды!!! Не думал, что все это можно передать музыкальной партитурой!!! Напомнило саундреки Абеля К. из Penny Dredful
honestly a good part of what draws me into this game is the soundtrack. it works well with the game mechanics to make things feel just urgent enough. to make a "you lived, but at what cost?" ending inspire just a bit more emotion
(i may have almost cried when i heard this after finishing the arks scenario with dead seedling arks and a half-dead new manchester... i'm hyperempathetic so that probably didn't help but... the music makes like, half of the experience in this game - it's wonderfully made)
1:22 this part alone was reason enough to replay the game as many times as it may take to get the best possible ending
Me too 😅
I simply cannot comprehend my expression for this game. 11 bit studios has their way of fulfilling the right atmosphere and they knocked it out the park work this one! This game is such a masterpiece and I am looking forward for more in the near future!
You, The Overseer: “Out there it’s -150 Celsius, you won’t find your daughter out there! What you’re trying to do, it’s just not possible!”
The Father: “No… It’s necessary.”
Yeah and whats funny is is that the madlad managed to aswell in my world
"DO NOT TELL ME THE ODDS"
This soundtrack is just awesome! It was in my head so many times as an earworm. Another thing that got stucked in my head was "Go to work people!" every morning haha
sets the tone for this game in a way i cant explain
coming from spotify i just REALLY felt i had to leave a comment here, soundtrack's a TOTAL BANGER, it makes the frost go down my spine
I listen to this at work, it's strangely motivating.
Whoever composed it could be a rival to Bach and Beethoven. It can be described in one word. Perfect.
RIGHT?
My hearth broke... it's too bad you can't cancel the events until their timer runs out, I would have been demolished one of the 10+ automation we had...
I wonder how my people feels with me flicking the overdrive on the generator constantly during the storm.
You arent alone brother. Specially on a zero deaths Order run
"We started as a small community. 80 people, no foods, old habits.
When sickness hit us...we refused to give up on anyone.
And every day was a sruggle... So we adapted."
-Сергх, вам суп с опилками?
-без...
-без опилок?
-без супа!
Герой труда
the sound of cold breeze and this..makes you restart the same scenario again again..but thats enough guys..already ready for frostpunk 2..we know you are not in it for money, so what ? here is your big applause 👏👏👏
Потрясающий саундрек. Это шедеврально
I love the violin going violent ;) !
Stunning game, amazing music. Looking forward to FP2
Me too fella
I actually purchased this game because i heard the music from a friend, truly amazing work.
One of the best soundtracks ever made.
I come back to this every now and then, it is Godly.
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard
It tells you exactly what this game is gonna be about: "Having to brave an environment similar to that of Helheim (Land of the dead in Norse mythology) with a sense of hope."
This soundtrack gives me chills.
In cold lands, many heroes have been lost.
and brave scouts sacrificed their lives...
to be a light in the dark, a trail on the horizon and hope for those left behind...
Such an amazing piece that matches the mood of the game
this is why i play video games
ForsakenSavior it’s awesome how there are no enemy AIs per se, yet the environment alone is an enemy. A very unique and well made game definitely.
I’m kinda hoping for a sequel, but the game was so well done I’m not sure a sequel is necessary.
@@sumgue4964 still playing it till this day! lol the new dlcs are amazing
At the edge of November, was literally buried in snow. I walked through the snow with this OST.
Waiting for it to be available in spotify !
Yes please !
Waiting for it to be available on iTunes
Waiting for it to be available on anything else than RUclips!
It is already available everywhere! :)
This is such an incredible and inspiring soundtrack from beginning to end.
Making this game into an unbiased, awesome and totally godly TV Show is now going on my bucket list.
This is indeed, a true masterpice. Nothing else to say...
triple A titles eat your heart out because this is the damn gold standard
Panie i panowie... I niezrzeszeni 🤣 Vinyl robi robotę. Dziękuję za kawał dobrej roboty.
I will make the Captain proud. I will save the city and not compromise morals. Even if the people hate me, steam me, toss me out into the snow.
To be amongst the dead i've buried. Might be my fate, but choose it, I must. For New london needs to live on.
Dear Devs, you took a game where you click some pixels until the numbers on a mental spreadsheet were right and turned it into an incredible emotional experience. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and I can't wait to see your next project
As 38 year old, this game gave the same feeling I had playing old SNES games. The soundtrack complimented the games atmosphere, loved it very much!
We savfed all arches , much more important that we saved New -Machester . We risked everything , and we did it . Let this be our legacy.
I don't know why but this is one of the few games that makes me feel genuine emotion towards my people and concern if they'll survive or not.. the music help so much with that and is ace combat level amazing in my opinion... Keep up the work on the legend of a game.. THE CITY MUST SURVIVE
Ironically, this music track always gave me chills
Bro, almost every frostpunk theme gives me chills
@Nbvm0 true, but it was always the most active one in my brain as I sometimes just didn’t pay attention to the music while something was happening, it’s a great opener to the title screen tho
This game and it’s music was just ❤️
Piotr Musiał - Co za bestia!
Rewelacja!!
amazing soundtrack, big respect to all who made it!
Here after 3 years, Epic Games gave me this game, loved it, last month bought 2 DLCs, such perfect game in all aspects, i love Frostpunk, i love you 11 Bit, and waiting for Frostpunk 2.
If the gameplay is body, then the soundtrack is soul. With body and soul, made a good game.
This music tone is like violin or piano or etc. It's very sad tone, and heart touch really ❤️💜
I will build my next utopia or tyrannical empire based purely around the scouts, they are what keeps the city going.
this track is so good they should make a game with it
Damn....this game really playing my emotions. Sometimes its sad looking the people get amputates or die in frozen workplace. Sometimes its hard to decide a law choice. Sometimes I feel angry to Londoners who didnt know how hard I trying to make generator on and they always make thing more worse.
Actually this game is master piece 👍, if this game get adaptation to a film its really great.
Une merveille, les OST qui me font ressentir autant d'émotions sont rares. 💜
La musique est l'un des points névralgiques d'un jeu, c'est ce qui donne son âme, tout comme sa direction artistique. 💜
This music gives me the chills xD . no it's truly a beautiful soundtrack
Thanks!
That tick-tocking bear the end of the song is a very nice touch.
Love this music helps with the game
i come here to warm up for frostpunk 2 :))))
Frostpunk series would be nice to see. Just be sure to choose the order.
Definately a very brutal game and with a awsome soundtrack to accompany it. Cant wait for the sequal
One of the best game I have ever played and music is so captivating. You feel the sacrifice and burden of losses in the music. Waiting for your new unique games. Good luck!
This MASTERPEICE better not get any dislikes.
We have two. Two butthurt people who were executed by their subjects.
Discontent rises

this is an absolute banger of an ost. bought the game because of it and just beat the first scenario. this is peak game composing music like this theme is absolutely nuts
Frost punk soundtracks are golden glory to new London!
I have goosebumps when listening to this... Awesome... AWESOME!
This theme gives me chill , seriously...
The city has survived.
This track would make me wanna cry after i hear it ;..(
The fact that 11 bit Studios is responding to these comments is super wholesome!
