What weed tell you about soil. START AN ALLOTMENT FROM SCRATCH

I am starting a new series. I have finally managed to get an allotment, this has been abandoned for years! It is very overgrown, so what can the weeds tell us about the soil underneath this overgrowth?
In this video I show you how to ID weeds and what they mean for the soil. We draw up a picture of what likely happened to this site, and then make a plan for the future.

Thanks for the video, I got a half plot a few days ago, it's essentially a bare 25msq, far drier than what you have. Bit clueless about how to proceed especially with the hottest months on the way, but resolved nevertheless. Wish me luck
