I was able to pick one of these up off of Amazon for a decent price with an I5-12400f processor, a 500gb ssd, a 500w power supply, I threw in a RTX 3060 and upgraded the ram from 8gb to 32gb and put in an extra 1tb hdd from a laptop I had laying around. It’s a pretty decent little computer. I was a little worried about the power supply not being quite enough but it’s been just fine so far.

We need that updating video. I'm enjoying this build but I put in another 8gig ram. I'm trying to figure out the best gpu I can get to match specs. 6400 isn't terrible but I'm ready to get a little more frames.
I feel like another 8 gigs will wake this thing up. Then if you replaced the 6400 with a 2060 (can find used for around $200 usd) or 3060 that would definitely be a good build but the power supply might not be that strong

It does get hot due to lack of case fans and the small heat sink and fan on the gpu. I noticed a change after swapping the gpu with bigger fans and better heatsink!
It does! I think I ran it on 1080p medium settings and it didn't have any issues at all. In the full video I showed how it had issues but if you uninstall the amd software and reinstall it fresh then you will have better results! Reach out if you have any other questions
I have shorts posted for a RX 6600 and rtx 4060 gpu upgrades. Also adding a cpu cooler and a fan to the side of the case for better air flow! Also, check out the Atech 3200mhz ram that allows you to maintain the 3200mhz speed and increase you ram! Feel free to shoot any questions you have!
@grim_2k861 search for amd adrenaline on Google. This will allow you to search for your gpu and download the drivers. This will automatically download the adrenaline program and the right drivers for you card. Let me know if you have any issues or additional questions!
I just got mine but I have a issue where when I hook up the monitor it says no signal power saving, so I’m wondering if there’s something inside I have to hook up or i plugged it into the wrong HDMI port
Make sure you're hooking it up to the lower hdmi port that's on the gpu and not the upper one on the motherboard! Also, check the source for your monitor. Hopefully this helps!

@RealUnclePinks it would put you over $500 but I 100% think the 4060 is so worth the price to performance. It runs at a lower power and out performs the rx6600 gpu that I tested.
@RealUnclePinks just make sure you run the DDU (display driver uninstaller) program to uninstall all drivers prior to downloading the new drivers for geforce experience. This help your pc run a lot better!
There are so many options that it would be hard to narrow down a specific monitor. I would recommend a 1080p monitor with at least 144hz. I would just read some reviews and base a decision off of that. Sorry I can't really give a better option. There are just many different brands and depending on your budget I just wouldn't know what is best.

These prebuilt pcs use what are called "reference cards" so this is marked with hp logos near the serial numbers because hp makes the card with the dies and card specifications. Dell does the same with their prebuilts too!
The 4070 has a power consumption of 186W. With the gpu only having 350, i wouldn't recommend using a gpu that takes up that much. Even though the math adds up and you would have enough to cover it, it would shorten the lifespan of your psu and can cause them to whine or make noises because they are at their limit.
I wouldn't use a 6800xt due to the power supply first and foremost. Second would be the size of the gpu. I would recommend the rtx 4060 just because the power consumption is low and it provides great performance!
Sounds like the fan might be touching something or a capacitor is about to go out. Definitely shouldn't sound loud. Should be whisper quiet. How long have you had the pc?
You can add 8gb to the existing ram or you can order a 16gb set that is 8gbx2. You can also go to a 32gb set that's 16gbx2 if you wanted. Just make sure the ram speed it 3200mhz or higher or you will reduce the speed of the existing ram that's already installed. This pc is hard set to 3200mhz so even if you get 3600mhz it will only run at 3200mhz since hp has it locked to that. Hopefully this helps

I've had my Victims for about 2 to 3 months now. I've upgraded my ram and now it crashes to the point to where i can BARELY play anything because the blue screen says DRIVER_POWER something and refuses to fix the problem after deleting the latest update. Nobody else on RUclips explains what causes that screen to show. HELP ME!
Have you tried replacing the original ram and seeing if it continues to blue screen? If so, check to see if you have any updates that haven't been pushed through by just searching "update" in the windows menu. If this doesn't work, check your "power saving" settings to see if it's turned on. This can cause the pc to try to go to sleep sooner but also it can prevent the pc from going into "wake mode" and try to sleep while you're using it. If none of this helps you, I would reach out to HP and see if they can send you another unit or fix the one you have. I hope some of this helps!
@@bradfordskeldoradoyes, I've replaced the ram to a 16gb and it'll play for awhile but afterwards it just crashes even after I've checked for updates. I'll have to try the power saving thing next. It dies randomly decides to power on at night when i put it in sleep mood.
If you have the original stick of ram, you may try putting that one back in to see if for any reason the new set of ram is bad. Some ram has different voltage so just trying to make sure it's not the new one.

That's odd. I would try the power settings but I would be on the phone with HP for a replacement. Wouldn't want to take the chance with it happening a month or year from now.
The upgrades are good. I would check to see what ram is in it. If it's not 3200AA ram then it will default to 2333mhz instead of the 3200mhz it comes with. This is an easy fix, A Tech 3200AA ram is pretty cheap and it will take up to 32gb if you do 2x16gb sticks. It only has 2 slots.
Whisper quiet ever under a load but it is a little hot. I'm guessing because the small fan size on the rx6400, it struggles but definitely not a loud one
The fans on most pcs are loud due to the temps being high and its trying to push more air to cool the cpu/gpu down. You can clean thermal paste on the cpu a lot of the times and that can bring down temps if you have loud fans or higher fan speeds.
There is a single black screw at the back of the side panel. Use a flat head screw driver and loosen it and then pull on the panel to the back. It will slide about a 1/4 inch and then it can be removed! Hope this helps!
I always line the bottom up first then the top slot. Then just slide the panel forward and it should close the gap so you can tighten the screw on the back.

Me personally, I would recommend the RTX 4060. Even though it's just an 8 gb card, the power usage is low and you get just a slight performance increase over the 3060 for the same price. I haven't tested an 6700 XT but I would be concerned about the power consumption being 220W on the 350W psu. It would be a bigger performance increase for the 6700XT but I don't really care for AMD gpus and the cost of the gpu and a psu wouldn't be worth it to me. All good options but my pic would be the 4060

When you start the pc, just hit the "delete" key as the pc boots up and shows the "HP" screen. It will take you to a very limited bios that is basically locked by HP to prevent people from changing a lot of settings you would normally find in a pc.
No, this is a ddr4 platform but requires a specific type of ram. I have a type that I have recommended for a long time but currently have someone experiencing difficulties with it. Let me do some research and I'll reach back out to you. In the meantime, check out the channel for other upgrades I have done with this little pc
This is an AM4 socket motherboard. The 7000 series is the new LGA style cpu so you would need an AM5 (LGA 1718).. but I wouldn't recommend putting something like that in here. The cpu would need better cooling and this is a small for budget pc. The 7950x cost more than I paid for this setup! 🤣
@@adamtrogdon959 the motherboard is a proprietary motherboard so it's made for this case specifically. You're better off buying a cheap case and building a pc vs trying to fit a different motherboard in this case. Also, the psu would be cheaper and easier to use vs buying a bigger psu from hp.

I just bought a great 2 tb 2.5" ssd on Amazon for $80. That is if you're wanting to keep the original nvme drive ssd and just add more storage. I can link if if you're interested
I wouldn't be top concerned about the ssd. It's very east to add additional storage. Most gaming pcs in the $600-$900 range will only have 500gb for the ssd. Just make sure you get ram if you do decide to purchase one!
I can't check every gta rp but I do know that with the upgraded gpu (RX6600) short I did on my channel, it will run the FiveM rp with no problem. I hope this helps!

With those parts, you shouldn't have any issues. This pc is not as high in performance as those parts listed but truly, you should be able to run max settings with those parts. Laptops run a little hot at times but should still be able to run the game without issues.
The motherboard and the gpu are both HP branded components. That why the proprietary parts make some prebuilt pcs a pain. The power connectors are different from a normal 28 pin power hook up

I put in a vengeance 2x16 kit, had a $10 off coupon so I’m in it like $270. I wanna stay around $500ish with a gpu upgrade what’s my best options

The RX6600 was a tight fit measuring at 9.75"L x 5"W. I wouldn't recommend anything beyond these measurements

I had decided on the 6700 but would have to upgrade the power supply which is fine except ThTs where the problem is I don’t know if a 750w is even compatible which the victus motherboard.. which would mean a new motherboard and at that point I might as well build a hole new pc from ground up 😳 do you know if I could simply buy a 750w and be fine or if I am going to have to give up on having my heart set on putting a 6700 in the victus

It should be default to 3200mhz
how do you get into bios?
When you start the pc, just hit the "delete" key as the pc boots up and shows the "HP" screen. It will take you to a very limited bios that is basically locked by HP to prevent people from changing a lot of settings you would normally find in a pc.

No, this is a ddr4 platform but requires a specific type of ram. I have a type that I have recommended for a long time but currently have someone experiencing difficulties with it. Let me do some research and I'll reach back out to you. In the meantime, check out the channel for other upgrades I have done with this little pc

Can upgrade my CPU with Ryzen™ 9 7950X?
This is an AM4 socket motherboard. The 7000 series is the new LGA style cpu so you would need an AM5 (LGA 1718).. but I wouldn't recommend putting something like that in here. The cpu would need better cooling and this is a small for budget pc. The 7950x cost more than I paid for this setup! 🤣

@@adamtrogdon959 the motherboard is a proprietary motherboard so it's made for this case specifically. You're better off buying a cheap case and building a pc vs trying to fit a different motherboard in this case. Also, the psu would be cheaper and easier to use vs buying a bigger psu from hp.

I just bought a great 2 tb 2.5" ssd on Amazon for $80. That is if you're wanting to keep the original nvme drive ssd and just add more storage. I can link if if you're interested

The thing deterring me is that 500 gig ssd.
I wouldn't be top concerned about the ssd. It's very east to add additional storage. Most gaming pcs in the $600-$900 range will only have 500gb for the ssd. Just make sure you get ram if you do decide to purchase one!

I can't check every gta rp but I do know that with the upgraded gpu (RX6600) short I did on my channel, it will run the FiveM rp with no problem. I hope this helps!

With those parts, you shouldn't have any issues. This pc is not as high in performance as those parts listed but truly, you should be able to run max settings with those parts. Laptops run a little hot at times but should still be able to run the game without issues.
What’s the motherboard name
The motherboard and the gpu are both HP branded components. That why the proprietary parts make some prebuilt pcs a pain. The power connectors are different from a normal 28 pin power hook up
