When I walk through the cemetery I see a lot of dates of marriage on these tombstones And they're full of people who married young and stayed married for Life 🧬
Happy Belated B'day🎈🎈. Congrats on you all seeing the value of each other for marriage, regardless of your ages at the time 👏👏. Also I like that you two have the understanding of the actions required for a good marriage. I'm a little older than you both, but I am in a BW/WM marriage also. People definitely didn't think our marriage would survived because of our different racial backgrounds. We thought it was weird because of our feelings towards each other was all they needed to believe in vs the warning us out of their fears😁. We understood what they thought they were trying to convey to us, but we wanted them to stop the negativity and trust our spiritual assessments of one another. We were right and they were just to focus on one fact "race differences vs. our truths. Now those family members and friends on both sides calls us the role models of marriage🙌🙌. We have lived our union together as partners on every front because we truly believed God chose us to live a purposed marriage not a typical one. Daily we celebrate our love in big and small ways. Even with all of this, we are not perfect but we are the best partners to each other without arguments, just discussions. We make all decisions only with each other, leaving our family and friends out of our decision space within our marriage. I think those healthy decisions from the start made our marriage a real partnership. We never need to vent to anyone else about the other person because we have amazing communication skills. The night of my marriage we discussed our spiritual understanding of being married. We both knew we are not possessions of the other, we are willing participants in this marriage. God wasn't literally granting us each other's soul, so we made sure to keep our souls with him. That understanding meant we trust each other to fulfil the role of what we committed to which reveals the truth in a real marriage. Otherwise, it's all barbaric and degrading due to people literally thinking they are each other's owners! Neither of us wanted any part of the jealousy nonsense that we see within social media. Wishing you two all the best. Stay Blessed💖💖
