@@nervonabliss2071 what the light class is meant to be is a very polarizing glass cannon (although the cannon part only applies to sword dash users tbh cuz the guns suck). The way you are supposed to live longer is to use your superior movement / burst movement options to dodge enemy fire and avoid taking damage. You simultaneously have the highest and lowest amount of health in the game, it all just depends on how well you schmoove. Without this, light just becomes a worse medium class, even with lets say 175 hp instead of 150.

@@S.Marquis you missed my point, I said sword is easy cause I play dagger with dash. when i first tried the sword I already played around 100hours on the dagger so thats why I said its braindead easy. For the average player it might be quite difficult tho which i implied saying fcar is far easier. I do have a montage on my channel you can check out if you are interested in how dagger compares to sword
Aye im sure you’re nasty with it, I didn’t miss any point I fully understood when I replied. dagger I will say it takes more more skill cause you HAVE to hit the back but even at that rate you’re hardly ever leading the charge with that, most the time you’re setting up a ambush from behind which IS nice with the gateways especially, I still think the movement is far more complex for the sword and to be nice with that you really gotta have skill, especially as a controller player myself. I’ll even take it a step further and say the sword is a bit easier for movement because the lunge AND it can be held, you have to time the dagger but the gap isn’t as great as you make it out to be imo🫱🏽🫲🏻
@@S.Marquis currently there is no dagger player skilled enought to perform the type of movement top sword players do but It is certanly possible, with the current techs dagger is not much more of an ambusher than sword which you can see in my montages and similar movement to what the sword is cappable of while also hitting backstabs will come once dagger players become more skilled. But huge respect to you for maining sword on controller, that must be very difficult !

I feel like getting higher sense would help with my sword gameplay but I like my sense as it is for shooting and switching between sense seems like it would be both cumbersome and destroy my muscle memory 😔

You dash with your legs, so unless you're using your feet to hold your sword, you can still swing.

@@jjusa00 it definitely is the best melee weapon but cant lights have something, mediums have every bit of utility in the world plus fcar and don't get me started on heavies lol. Also hammers kind of sick deatroying terrain is strong
Sword is completely balanced.
Medium have recon senses and explosive mines, making sure you can't reach your target safely.
Heavies have nuke and RPG, both of which are one shot for Light players. And if you add that Heavy can literally blast RPG in his own face and survive - it becomes clear how easy Sword players can die.
All this insane movement and skills are needed to play Competitive, otherwise you would be dying so much it's worth no damage if your team has to rez you all the time or you're out of tokens. Additionaly most of the time encountering team of 3 as melee in Comp you will have to deal with half health freshly defibbed players, making it sometimes 1v5 encounter. To compensate that you can't just beam a team of 6 from a safe spot you're given tremendous damage on your lunge attack, which also has a charge time, and there is no way in the world you can keep your dashes off cooldown while fighting 6 and trying to stay alive
Honestly think sledge is better. By far the easiest melee to use. 2 hits other heavies and mediums, and one hits lights. I just started playing it and I’ve already been dropping more kills than I was on sword with next to no movement or evasion whatsoever. It takes almost 0 effort to get the same result
