Hey Marty can you please make lesson on how to play unforgiven 2 by Metallica and also amazing job with all the guitar lessons , I've been following you for about a year now and I just want to thank you for putting all those lessons together :)
Marty Music omg Marty your face on the preview image looks like you going to kill the person who just dropped your guitar 😂😂😂😂😂 keep up the good work Marty and thanks for the laughs man!
"Hey, what's up guys! Marty Schwartz here" Never gets old haha! Marty I can see you have a passion for music and it definitely shows in your videos. Thank you for teaching me songs that I would never have learned without the help of your videos. Thanks to you, I'm getting an electric guitar for my birthday!
Hi Marty, I started playing 3 months ago. I'm 51 years old, and it's been a fantasy of mine to play guitar ever since I first heard "You shook me all night long" for the first time at 3 AM one summer night in 1980 on pop radio. Anyway... time to make that fantasy a reality (now that the kids are all moved out and I'm bored!). So, of all the teachers on line I've found, you are definitely my favorite! I love the songs you teach, and I appreciate your "for dummies" style!!! So far I've learned back in black and T & T. Not good enough for playing in a band or anything... But Oh what fun I am having! Thank you so much Marty. I'm looking forward to learning all the other songs you have out here... PS - Do you like the SG or the Les Paul better (if you only could have one or the other)?
Sg is more comfortable, lighter (by a lot) and less expensive. The neck of the SG actually joins the body at a different spot which shifts the fretboard a little left in your hands (Marty I think actually has a video comparing the two guitars). I recommend SG, I’ve always found the LP a little awkward to play seated and heavy while standing. Keep playing guitar! It’s the best.
Marty, you are the first instructor I can follow. You break it down so even a total beginner can understand. I have now subscribed and following after first learning "Schools out" by A.C., my FIRST "real song EVER" and now looking forward to learning more from you. If you had a CD of everything I would buy it! Thanks Marty!!
oh man this song was the confidence booster I needed! One of the first hard rock songs I ever heard, which started a lifelong love for AC/DC. Thanks for another great lesson, Marty!
I will admit, im not very good at guitar but I have learned so much from ur videos Marty. I've learned many riffs from u and have impressed my friends and family with them and it's all because of you. thanks Marty
A similar thing happened with my mom too HAHA, I love seeing my family's reaction to the product of me in my room playing for hours trying my hardest to get it right 😂😂😅😂😂
Explosive, a real blast, a dynamite lesson!!! I tried the laying on the floor while spinning and threw out my back, but got the noise part down perfectly. How about Everybody Wants You by one William Squier, alias Billy?
I am a 13 year old boy who has had a passion for playing guitar since i was 7 and anytime i needed help playing a song i would go straight to you man, thank you
Did i just learned a full song in 30 minutes? Marty you’re god. I can’t explain how good teacher you are and how I appreciate that. All of us. U spending your time on earth by doing good things and it’s awesome. Thanks a lot man I’m rocking out with that song like 1 hour non stop lol.
Ngl... i was half expecting you to fall on the ground and run in a circle making as much noise as humanly possible with your guitar. I'm not disappointed, but... 😂😂😂
Awesome lesson. I would love to see you break down, If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It) by AC/DC as well. I started playing Guitar 7 months ago and I’m a huge fan of your videos. 🤘
Hey Marty, Jaron here! Fun simple riff, thanks. I would greatly appreciate your help learning some more difficult beautiful songs. I’ll repost this same list every time I watch one of your videos. 1. America - Three Roses (Please include outro-solo) 2. Bob Dylan - House Carpenter 3. The Cars - You Might Think 4. Clutch (Anything!) 5. Crash Test Dummies - Afternoons and Coffeespoons 6. The Donnas - Who Invited You 7. Franz Ferdinand - Katherine Kiss Me 8. Jethro Tull - Mother Goose (How can you not love this song?) 9. Jim Croce - I got a name 10. Lou Reed - This Magic Moment 11. NOFX - Linoleum 12. Paul Simon - Gumboots / Paranoia Blues 13. Rev Horton Heat - Baby, I’m Drunk 14. Sublime - What happened? Looking forward to seeing you teach a few of these songs. Much Appreciated!

Hey man I picked up this crappy Baja electric guitar I found in my basement, I started playing it because ya know... Quarantine. I'm on my 3rd day of trying to play anything and I almost have this one down (the intro that is haha). It of course it doesn't help that i'm missing the two smallest strings (B&E), and the current ones on it are a little rusted but I managed to figure it out. Thank you for doing these videos man! Marty massive THANK YOU for all the work you put into your videos! Thanks to them I’m able to save tons of money on private guitar lessons and therefore afford the Sg model I always wanted. You just rock man! Keep up the good work
Silly question. I notice when you bang out chords, your hand is open. Thats the way I play, but watching so many other players with their fist, banging out chords made me think I was doing it wrong. I like to rest my fingers on the pickgaurd when playing notes, and find an open hand pretty much all the time. I tried using a fist, and can't do it. Anything to this or just personal pref?
Hey guys Marty here from MartyMusic.com thanks for the continued support! What AC/DC song would you like next?
