If you are divorced, that woman is a stranger to you. She had the privilege that you took care of her while you were married. It's interesting how it makes you a man if you continue to give her that privilege while you no longer get the privilege of a married man. It is not surprising that so many women want a divorce.
I hope men really pay attention to the part about the problem being the fear of loss or the attachment to the outcome and not the commitment itself, because it also applies to men before they're even with anyone. When men are attached to an outcome with a woman, they end up trying too hard, sometimes to the point where they are actually afraid to say something wrong. (This is another issue with the "nice guy.") This is the same problem that men with commitments have. As LFA said, when you feel you have something to lose and you act that way, you won't make that joke; you won't tease her quite the same way; you won't risk crossing that line you have in your head; you won't be willing to be honest enough to put her in her place, and when she senses this weakness, it turns her off.
It's like you're playing the "prevent" defense and the other team can just march down the field without much resistance, whereas before, you were tough and strong, willing to take that penalty if it meant playing your best. Don't go into a "prevent" defense; it prevents you from being as strong as you could be. Be willing to take a penalty from time to time just so that they know that you're willing to. I don't know why I turned this into a football analogy, but it worked pretty well, I think.
This is true. It sucks because most women DO enjoy being treated this way. But there is a reason. A lot of it has to do with how they were raised at home by their father or lack thereof. The average father will tell their daughter to sit down, shut up, don’t be promiscuous, and be pretty while they sit back in a lazy boy to watch the football game until they rebel. This is why most women treat inconsistent engagement from men like gold. Because they’ve been ignored most of their lives. And it tricks them into thinking that’s what love is.
It’s about being masculine and a decision maker. I gotta say this is something in short supply will low T males these days. Do that and ur fine.
You couldn't be more wrong about this. Most men treat their daughters like princesses, allowing them almost everything. That's why you hear about the special father-daughter bond. Whenever a girl wants something she asks her dad and not her mom because she knows she can't trick her mom. A daughter acts like daddy's little girl without being forced to she does it on her own because she can manipulate him the most. So whenever a girl meets a nice guy who accepts all her flaws he reminds her of her dad, hence why she manipulates him too. But when she meets a bad boy who doesn't care about her feelings that triggers her a lot because she isn't used to it and she looks for his approval since she can't manipulate him.

Becoming emotionally attached to a women is the worst thing that's ever happened to me in life. You feel powerless and afraid of losing her. And when you lose her you're completely heart broken and it's the worst pain in the world. It's a bad position to be in. Avoid it if you can.
You sound like you went from Anxious Attachment to Avoidant Attachment. Both suck. Work on developing a Secure Attachment. You won't find this info anywhere in the RP/MANOSPHERE.
I say this because I'm sick of seeing men unknowingly have an external locus of control in the form of women. Develop a Secure Attachment and you'll have an internal locus of control.
Otherwise you're really no different than a women that relies on astrology for her relationship insights. They think bad men just "happen" to women. Guys in the RP/MANOSPHERE think bad women just "happen" to men and will never acknowledge that they are the other side of that relationship coin.
TLDR: learn about Attachment Theory and toss out the bottle of Red Pills before they become Black Pills.

Women have no control over a man until she marries or has kids with him. Once they get that control they treat you as they please because what they want can change in a heartbeat and they get a financial reward .
I was married with kids. I was a good father and husband. I walked away. She forced it because she had control and over played her hand. As a man you have to know when to fold them as you say.
Men lose because we want families and kids so you can go from the guy who won’t commit to the guy who does . Your behavior does not change just the classification in her eyes does. That is beyond messed up and why there are so many broken families
If you don’t want kids with a woman don’t ever marry ., if you do then be prepared for transactional relationship where the mother of your kids becomes someone you never speak to post break up.
For most men now having kids isn’t worth it and as we age a woman can’t offer anything that allows her any type of control so who cares how she acts. It’s you younger guys who I feel sorry for.

Men and women are here having human experience. The key is to remember you are a soul learning to just "be" and expand consciousness.
True, unconditional love starts within you. You will attract a woman loving herself when you do the same. You are here to learn to find love inside of you. Everything else is ego. Partnership is two beings who love themselves and sharing the love of your individual lives. Learn the way. Non-attachment simply means you know love is always available. No mind fuckery necessary.
It's so true about twoedged sword. There are planty of guys who are in happily relationships. These are guys who know how to walk this edge. They are no weakmen who are walked over by their women. They are men who are able to be masculine and stand their ground but at same time they are also kind and caring and can be a niceguy when needed.
As a man who's commited, its imperative to note that some women with certain attachment styles are absolutely petrified of having their world (their family) turned upside down. Finding this is part of the vetting process for men. Commitment provides security and stability for women, and from my experience, its the lack of commitment that make women more willing to move on.
Men who stay in relationships for years without any form of these commitments are chiefly the ones who women lose desire for.
The reality is kids, marriage provides a progression to that relationship. Arguably, id say these things are better than being in flatmate style relationships for many years or being a monk. If the relationship breaks down, oh well, thats life... but you may have produced children who may love you till the end or a divorce that teaches you about yourself and learn from mistakes. Some men may prefer to never be married again. But its better to have reached that level of understanding through life experience than halt relationships due to fear.

As a married man with children, I can tell you that your investment level increases over time, to the point where your all in.

I've never wanted to get married but I did end up having a child with my ex which made some commitment towards her that I still have to this day.
