  • Hey Loves x
    So after almost a year, I finally decided to try out the bentonite clay mask. I wanted to use the Aztec Indian clay mask but I can't seem to find it in the UK (online anyway), so I used this clay from amazon:
    www.amazon.co....
    Mist Sprayer
    IGEMY 300ML Hairdressing Spray... www.amazon.co....
    It came out pretty good and i'll definitely be doing it again. I have a feeling i'll get more definition with the Aztec clay so when I find it i'll let you know if there's a difference in the results

    To anyone trying this for the first time: do NOT try to detangle with this in your hair. It's clay, you will never get slip with it due to the natural properties of clay. 2. If you have trouble with single strand knots this is for you! I use the clay twice a month a never get them anymore.

      i also use clay 2x a month and have noticed little to no single strand knots and i just did a trim a week or few days ago. So I'm definitely going to continue using clay 2x a month and might use it more often!

      I completely agree I thought it was just me. Made my hair stronger/ elastic, so it stopped snapping unnecessarily, made it easier to detangle, less split ends etc.

    I was JUST thinking of doing a rhassoul clay wash for the first time. I wanted to make it really watery to make it easier to apply and wash out. Kind of like Fusion of Cultures’ recipe.
    If you did this again, would you make it pasty or would you liquify it more? Do you think you could get the same results with watery clay? Gorgeous turn out 😍

      @Maryam Abbani Hi, I just mix the bentonite clay with apply cider vinegar and water until it becomes a yogurt like consistency. Then I add about 10 drops of tee tree oil, 15 drops of rosemary oil and 5 drops or peppermint oil. I leave it in my hair until the clay dries (about 45 mins sometimes longer depending on the thickness of your hair) then rinse out and my hair is soft af. I use a deep conditioner once a month.
      ruclips.net/video/d0ULC7PPO_Q/видео.html that's the link to the deep conditioner recipe I use. I add different aryvedic herbs depending on what my hair needs at the time.
      I also make a Ayurvedic shampoo using African Black Soap, Fenugreek and Shikahai which I use once a week and it has my hair so soft and manageable. My hair type is 4B/4C and it's bra strap length.

    so do we shampoo the hair afterwards or do we just rinse out the clay? And our we supposed to put on a shower cap and let it sit before rinsing it out?

    • @shonab36
      @shonab36 5 лет назад +2

      CHAS No shampoo. The clay mask is clarifying and acts as the “shampoo”, however, feel free to deep condition immediately after and then style as usual.

      @@shonab36 thank you so much for responding. Oh yea one more thing, after putting the clay in are you supposed to put a plastic bag over your head to seal in the moisture or let the clay mask air dry before rinsing it out?

    • @CHASA
      @CHASA 5 лет назад

      @@shonab36 Because I saw some videos where people put on a plastic bag while the clay mask is on.

      CHAS plastic bag is my choice. To seal in moisture.

    Isn't clay a cleanser? If so, then is it effective enough when mixed with oils?

    Thanks so much. At least I know where I messed up with the clay mix.
