Yeah I’m not sure if it’s just because they are pretty new or if he just does not do a lot of the technical stuff and it’s a very small operation like a one-man or close to it kind of thing but I do know that the product was extremely well-made and they are super responsive from social media and stuff if you ever have any questions and he sends extra pictures and stuff. But for sure I will be posting some more stuff on it in the next month or two and then like I usually do a long-term review after like a year or some thing
I have the smoked shade and find that my vision is distorted almost like a funhouse mirror. I know yours is blacked out but do you find that with yours?
Bought the Krator faring the recurve created way to much Air buffering. found a taller straight windshield with JD Customs & Fabrication higher quality windshield and eliminated the buffering..
Could not tell you honestly. I don't work for Plex and I've not had one of their units in person to verify. On their website they have the option for a TSport style mount but it doesn't specify the Banks. I would imagine it would fit but I can't guarantee it
So the dyna models cheaper than the road warrior, but softail version is more expensive. Interested in it for my 2016 dyna low rider S, I have the road warrior right now
Softail version should only be more expensive until you start adding everything you need. The road warrior is priced as a shell. You need to add the headlight shroud, the windshield, and the mounting hardware. But yeah the dyna models are way cheaper
Depends on what speaker kit you're referring to. If you're talking about an item like the plex, yes, I'm fairly certain they make a bracket setup that will fit this fairing nicely.
Those old t-sport fairings are very common. Banks mounting kit is well done. You can get banks brackets separately for about 400$ and buy this 100$ fairing on Amazon. It is the same, fits perfectly.
That sucks! So far nothing with this one but they also make an anti buffeting kit I have enroute too that allows air flow to come in between the windshield and the fairing and the windshield pivots independent of the fairing too

As is, yes, slightly. Only above 45/50mph though. And I never even messed with the angles and height because I had the anti buffeting kit coming to me. I’m installing it this morning and I’ll put up a mini review/install of the anti buffeting kit in the next week or two.
Awesome looking fairing! I've currently got the HD quarter Fairing on my fxlrs, it's real crap tbh. Definitely looking to change it and I don't wanna go the Memphis shades route as a majority does. How tall is that shield tho? I've currently got a 10inch on mine but that looks real tall
Since you already have the fairing check out denton performance. They’re in the process of making newer hardware for the existing fairing and they have new windshields that work better for it too. Pretty cool stuff! And I don’t remember the windshield height off hand. I wanna say maybe 13 inches?
That's actually the windshield I have at moment from DDP or Denton performance now. I just want a bigger more stable fairing too. Def might check this one out

I like my road warrior but it is a lil flimsy. I like the look of the t sport. Any thoughts on the Banks vs the Immzelite t sport? What would make the Banks a better buy?
I don’t have any experience with the immzelite at all so I can’t say much for that. What I can say is the banks has some anti buffeting stuff to make it better for all riders and the customer service is spot on
Depends what you are looking for. You're not typically supposed to look through these and rather your eyes should be just over top the windshield portion. Some do look through them obviously but they are not optically correct and its not what they are designed for at all. This dark black one I had here was not clear in anyway. Could not see through it at all day or night didn't matter
Can you see through the windshield on a no moon highway at midnight? Harley called the strange shape "wind splitter" I am now shopping for that fairing. from Banks. good video.

But you’re supposed to look over it and you would be able to see everything. Same concept as a solid fairing like a street glide or similar. And yeah I’m not a fan of forwards at all. I like my feet under me. More sporty and responsive handling. Nimble
The flare at the top was contributory to the turbulence (buffetting) you felt. Flares are a *really* stupid idea on motorcycle windshields. Or, as I like to put it, "all the fish that shape got eaten 500 million years ago." Also, likely the windshield was the wrong height for you. I haven't seen a picture of you on the bike and I'm not going to as you've since sold the fairing, but the top of the windshield should have been either at the height of your upper lip, or at the height of where your collar bones meet at the bottom of your neck. Likely this was in between those two levels, which is a recipe for buffetting. I've made and sold about 31,000 windshields, I know these things. ps: The Banks fairing is made in China, and is easily available directly from China at a much lower price. I know that too, as I have one which I bought at a much lower price. The hardware kit is lacking the headlight relocation brackets; I'll have to make those. 15 minutes.
I can assure you, just like the other people I've had to explain this to, that Banks products are not made in china. Are there copies made in China? Of course, just like theres Chinese versions of just about everything for Harleys now adays. Banks specifically supplied me with locations of all the manufacturers they use & they're all in California. As far as the height, it might have been just slightly off. But like I said, using my Bell helmet I got essentially NO buffetting. At the time I was not willing to switch helmets. That arai helmet has given me buffetting on a road glide, an indian challenger, a street glide, and a softail with a memphis shades fairing. It is hugely in part due to the helmet
It’s pretty damn tall. It’s gonna take some time to get used to the blacked out fairing for me. I like the Memphis shades style it is just too skinny for me
It’s been quite a bit of time since I’ve talked to the owners over there, and since I have had this faring, so I could potentially be wrong, but I believe the windshield is made out of Lexan for them, and the faring body is made out of a BS molded plastic. The mounting brackets are a black powder coated steel.

I have a 2020 Low Rider S. I love the bike. But took it out on a Interstate with the stock Fairing (no windshield) and when I hit over 40mph I started to feel the beginning of pain. When I reached 60 mph plus the wind beat me up pretty badly to the point that it became a dangerous ride. I would have to have a clear windshield to be able to see through it without any loss of vision. I also have a Super Low 1200T with a HD Quick Release Windshield. I am 6' tall 33/34 ? inch inseam. Racking my time and brain trying to pick a fairing. I would go with a quick release windsheild but the way the wires and such are on the LRS without a fairing it would not look good, IMO. Sigh ... Like I said, I truly love the LRS in just about every aspect, looks, handling, power, ect ... Waitng for a set of painted extra large Viking Bags with a quick release brackets I ordered to arrive. But Golly Gee, over $600 for the above fairing ? OUCH Any constructive advice you can offer me ? I have a difficult time making such decisions and yes that is my problem no one elses, haha
Hey, so I’ve been running my bike with no fairing at all. And I’ve used the highway many times. I have not had any safety issues. After a while it’s fatiguing but that’s it. None of the fairings are made for looking through. You’re supposed to look over them. The banks is a super high quality option. Memphis shades is a little cheaper though. But again, you’re not supposed to look through them, just over

Theyprotect me from buffering at high speeds, light rain, cold weather, ect ... Right niow I am riding my LRS without any windshield or fairing. I do not like that. But that is me.Try looking over a 17 inch or higher fairing. Why they do not make fiarings with a clear shield is beyond me. Maybe they expect you to install radar, haha. just saying
Yeah I understand that. A windshield is meant to do something very different from what a fairing is. And every fairing for the most part is designed to look over it like I explained. Windshields are designed to look through them and fairings are designed to look over. That’s why they have adjustable sizes so you can pick the best one for your height and set up
No it’s not. I’m getting tired of having to explain this. Banks showed me the actual shops they use in California to make their parts for this fairing. Just because there’s a similar style made in China doesn’t mean that banks is the one cheeping out

There’s a lot of similar style kits as they’re all based off of the t sport Harley’s to begin with. I can tell you banks has their own suppliers In California. So whether or not someone is using their guys too I can’t say but banks isn’t sterling anything from anyone

Yes I believe they did. Someone else just mentioned it too. I’m not sure exactly how much I paid since it was a while ago now but I so believe they raised the price
I did order the memphis shades back in June and never received due to a number of issues and did end up canceling this order. I did order the same kit but this one comes with a fish eye led light. Original Garage Moto out of Canada. I was looking for months online and did hear Memphis shades has issues with wind buffering and nothing has been done to address it.
I’m not too big a fan of ceramic for bikes but I do use sonax quick detailing polymer spray on the bikes. Works so great and stays out for many many washes. I swear by the stuff and it’s super cheap too. I’m one of the weird guys who likes washing and detailing the bike every so often so it works great for me
@@RidinDad I've been doing this since last year on all my cars and the bike and works great! After each wash been using P&S Bead Maker to dry them out!

I dont want to come off as hating on you because I watch your videos, good motorcycle content/editing and a nice build. I think the intro gives off a goofy vibe, and if I were to only watch the intro and judge off that I wouldn't take the video seriously. But seems like you have a pretty informed opinion on things, and watching these installs I'm sure helps a bunch of people who type it into the search box and just watch the 1 video to help them with their project. I do think the intro could use tweaking. But thats just my opinion, it's a beautiful bike. Music while working ain't bad though lol

I asked because on the website I can only find fairings but no windshields. One more struggle is that I’m in Italy so it would be quite expensive I fear.
Honestly I don’t even know if they ship out of the US sadly man :/. I haven’t been on the site in a while but they weren’t available up there when I got mine either. They should pretty much all come with the solid black windshield but if you need additional or want additional if you just send them a message they should respond

I already went through this with someone else who tried to show how knowledgeable he was with products he never owned. This is not rebranded in anyway. I spoke with the ceo of banks....he provided all the company’s he uses for certain steps in the process and explained how the product is completely designed by him. Made completely in California. The other fella deleted his comments after being proven wrong.
@@RidinDad Man, it's exactly the same, even the windshield screws and abs molding marks. Order it and compare it if you are so sure it isn't the same. Make a video to seal the topic. ABS mold and fairing are the same. Therefore, make your own 400$ mounting brackets conclusion.
Just because something looks the same doesn’t mean the dimensions are the same or the quality is the same. You are so sure about it and care so much you buy it. I did much research prior to purchasing this fairing to decide which was right for me. I’m not going to purchase another fairing just to satisfy you. Just because you think something is true doesn’t mean it is

OK, I understand what you’re saying. I misunderstood the first time. But yes, the FXR faring is definitely still a club style faring as used on many clubs dial bikes, it’s just not the more typical cheaper club style like a clam shell quarter fairing for a T sport
No it’s not. Read what I type over and over again. Manufactures based out of California. Just because there is a carbon copy of the product from China doesn’t mean it’s the physical same material that Banks is using
I agree the bracket system is legit. Imo, if the abs fairing/windshield would have been molded here, it’d be a shame not to add a little logo or anything to differentiate from the FTC-60009. The dark windshield is available from the factory producing that in China. They have different style and can be customized. Banks would be losing money getting the abs manufactured here
Well I disagree on the looks. I think it looks better for sure. As far as quick detaching….how many times do you actually detach it? Everyone I know with the Memphis shades keeps it on 24/7. Also I’m assuming you don’t wanna talk about the issues Memphis has with their hardware and how often they brake and you see them zip tied?

Banks makes this fairing. Same style yes but it is not a Chinese Amazon product. The whole banks kit is very well done yes

how high is your bar risers??
I believe in this video they were 6 inch risers. I currently have 8 inch risers will pull back from biltwell with stock bars

Nope. It’s super dark. Barely see through it during the day. They have a lighter mole color though. This is not made to see through normally

Love the t-sport style. Not much a fan of the road warrior. Also- I shaved down my windshield 3” I hated that flare on top 🤘

Theyprotect me from buffering at high speeds, light rain, cold weather, ect ... Right niow I am riding my LRS without any windshield or fairing. I do not like that. But that is me.Try looking over a 17 inch or higher fairing. Why they do not make fiarings with a clear shield is beyond me. Maybe they expect you to install radar, haha. just saying
Yeah I understand that. A windshield is meant to do something very different from what a fairing is. And every fairing for the most part is designed to look over it like I explained. Windshields are designed to look through them and fairings are designed to look over. That’s why they have adjustable sizes so you can pick the best one for your height and set up

No it’s not. I’m getting tired of having to explain this. Banks showed me the actual shops they use in California to make their parts for this fairing. Just because there’s a similar style made in China doesn’t mean that banks is the one cheeping out
I just found the “same” or similar fairing kit on a site call Original Garage Moto; are they selling rebranded Banks’s or copying it? Anyway, that’s for the video!
There’s a lot of similar style kits as they’re all based off of the t sport Harley’s to begin with. I can tell you banks has their own suppliers In California. So whether or not someone is using their guys too I can’t say but banks isn’t sterling anything from anyone
Those T-Sport fairing windshield are from China. At least OGM admit it.

Yes I believe they did. Someone else just mentioned it too. I’m not sure exactly how much I paid since it was a while ago now but I so believe they raised the price

I did order the memphis shades back in June and never received due to a number of issues and did end up canceling this order. I did order the same kit but this one comes with a fish eye led light. Original Garage Moto out of Canada.
I was looking for months online and did hear Memphis shades has issues with wind buffering and nothing has been done to address it.

@@RidinDad might want to look into ceramic coating the fairing and the wind shield! Just did mine before installation.
I’m not too big a fan of ceramic for bikes but I do use sonax quick detailing polymer spray on the bikes. Works so great and stays out for many many washes. I swear by the stuff and it’s super cheap too. I’m one of the weird guys who likes washing and detailing the bike every so often so it works great for me
@@RidinDad I've been doing this since last year on all my cars and the bike and works great! After each wash been using P&S Bead Maker to dry them out!

I dont want to come off as hating on you because I watch your videos, good motorcycle content/editing and a nice build. I think the intro gives off a goofy vibe, and if I were to only watch the intro and judge off that I wouldn't take the video seriously. But seems like you have a pretty informed opinion on things, and watching these installs I'm sure helps a bunch of people who type it into the search box and just watch the 1 video to help them with their project. I do think the intro could use tweaking. But thats just my opinion, it's a beautiful bike. Music while working ain't bad though lol

Honestly I don’t even know if they ship out of the US sadly man :/. I haven’t been on the site in a while but they weren’t available up there when I got mine either. They should pretty much all come with the solid black windshield but if you need additional or want additional if you just send them a message they should respond

I already went through this with someone else who tried to show how knowledgeable he was with products he never owned. This is not rebranded in anyway. I spoke with the ceo of banks....he provided all the company’s he uses for certain steps in the process and explained how the product is completely designed by him. Made completely in California. The other fella deleted his comments after being proven wrong.
@@RidinDad Man, it's exactly the same, even the windshield screws and abs molding marks. Order it and compare it if you are so sure it isn't the same. Make a video to seal the topic. ABS mold and fairing are the same. Therefore, make your own 400$ mounting brackets conclusion.

I did much research prior to purchasing this fairing to decide which was right for me. I’m not going to purchase another fairing just to satisfy you. I think you are confusing the Dyna T-sport fairing with the FXRT or FXRD Full Fairing… totally different

OK, I understand what you’re saying. I misunderstood the first time. But yes, the FXR faring is definitely still a club style faring as used on many clubs dial bikes, it’s just not the more typical cheaper club style like a clam shell quarter fairing for a T sport

I agree the bracket system is legit. Imo, if the abs fairing/windshield would have been molded here, it’d be a shame not to add a little logo or anything to differentiate from the FTC-60009. The dark windshield is available from the factory producing that in China. They have different style and can be customized. Banks would be losing money getting the abs manufactured here

Well I disagree on the looks. I think it looks better for sure. As far as quick detaching….how many times do you actually detach it? Everyone I know with the Memphis shades keeps it on 24/7. Also I’m assuming you don’t wanna talk about the issues Memphis has with their hardware and how often they brake and you see them zip tied?
