I always hear this song on the satellite station at work. Carpark Records never fails when it comes to talent. Surprised this doesn’t have more views. Excellent work.
Fresh, original sound, like having dinner in another country, so satisfying in a strange way.

At first I thought "Electronic Counterpoint" and Fripp, but the more I listen, the more than guitar framework is reminding me of Zazen Boys (from their 4th album onwards). ( Of course, there's a lot about the song which does not sound like Zazen Boys, as well. These vocals are certainly a lot more soothing and generally more palatable.) I kind of like her debut album, but ultimately lost interest. I like this more.
Well ok, specifically thinking of "Potatosalad" by Zazen Boys. And just the guitar sound and framework--nothing else.
Sounds like Madeline Kenney to me.
+Shrek for the win. gotta say, checked it out, and potato salad is p sick tho
It's just striking to me that the use of minimalist guitar building blocks in parts of the song are fairly novel, so I naturally start thinking of precedents (precisely because there aren't that many I'm aware of). I am old: I remember that when Fripp/Summers' first collaboration came out, Spin magazine, I think it was, described it as the sound of rock guitar to come (or something like that). Well, it wasn't. But in some ways this song sounds like it's from a parallel world where it was. Granted, there are other things happening as well. Sorry to be so wordy (and doubly sorry if my earlier posts saying more or less the same things actually went through).
Nice. My favorite of theirs is "Himitsu Girl's Top Secret." Looking forward to "Perfect Shapes."
