My first multimeter was a metex 3900 which looked EXACTLY like this one, except that the case was gray. Unfortunately I made a mistake and damaged it permanently.
in europe they are called Elix 3900 or Kemex 3900 and they were hugely popular in schools due to cheapness and robustness ( unless you mesure the voltage while probing in A mdoe then it was a sudden death) here i put 2 of them in practice ruclips.net/video/WkuLrC8c0k8/видео.html
