As an American I have to admit my appreciation for the Hunter came relatively late in life (actually from YT!), but oh what a beautiful plane👍. Through 50+ years of modeling, I've always agreed with the adage "the best looking planes fly the best". That goes for this design and your beautiful model of it - great job Cliff! 👏
Well said Cal, I'm pretty pleased with her, I'm going to program in some differential to see if it improves the tight turns, it's been suggested anyway, it can't hurt to find out, cheers 👍
I love you nerds. Don’t ever change. Beautiful Hunter btw.
Thanks 👍
Congratulations Cliff! Looks like another good maiden flight!
Thanks Dave, it went ok didn't it 👍🙂
A really pretty build and finish for your Hunter. Flying was nice and smooth - good show.
Thanks a bunch Roger! 👍
Cliff that was a brilliant maiden day! Congrats! I wondered what you'd do with the EDF...you didn't disappoint!
Thanks Adam, the foamy now flies with balsa style, cheers
Well done Cliff! You certainly know how to build & fly ‘em! Wow she is fast. 🇦🇺🪃🦘
Thanks Noel 👍
A wonderful maiden Cliff. Great job with the scratch built Hunter.
Thank you Jo 👍🙂
You built this and flew it in less time than it takes me to decide what to make next! Fantastic job...I love that airplane and Balsa Flies Better!
Well it did come together quite quickly Ken, don't feel too bad, cheers 👍
Beautiful model . Well done!
Thanks 👍
beautiful countryside!
The SW of England has it all, we're very lucky 👍
Great to see the HUNTER maiden it looks great in the air even with the wind trying it's best to get you 😎
Thanks Bob, I was hoping for a little wind to help me get away and land, perfect really 🤔👍
Congratulations Cliff well done, looks great airbourne.. your going to have lots of fun with the Hunter, surely one of the nicest looking aircraft of that period.
I have to agree, mind you everything was nice from that period 🙂👍
Nice job cliff! Lovely model and flight.another fun build start to finish 😊
Thanks Jag, I enjoyed it a lot 👍
Well done Cliff! Exactly like my Gnat on takeoff, you think it’s going to drop out of the sky but it does actually get going 😂
It seemed to float on a blanket of air on launch Tim but seemed to push away quite well when the thrust hit the ground, I'm pleased, cheers
Outstanding Cliff.. Really flies great.. Congrats on this wonderful build and maiden..
Thanks Will, she's a good design, I just followed the plan 🙂👍
Certainly looks great in the air, very smooth 👍
Thanks 👍
Congratulations Cliff! That plane looks so so fast. I saw the yellow mine on a EDF facebook group , same blueprints. Great work you do with this jet! Best wishes for you both, pilot and plane ;)
Cool, thanks 👍
Well done, looks great in the air!
Cheers Bob 🙂👍
Congratulations buddy, a masterclass build with a smooth maiden. She looked on rails in the air. Second landing was great. I am sure you will get the flight time sorted, but it looks like a 3 minuet flight. 🫡
Thanks Chris, I think yours will be a lot lighter and therefore slower, which isn't a bad thing. The third landing which I didn't film (doh) was a greaser ... honest gov! Three minutes on full tilt for maximum excitement, oh yeah, cheers
Congratulations Cliff, great maiden, she flies beautifully 😊
Great job Cliff 👏 looks great!!!
Thanks Jude 👍
Yes!! This is awesome Cliff!!
Cheers Joshua 👍
Really looking great. At that speed I am sure it is not easy. The fast low pass was great! (Pity about the Mustang)
Hi Andrew, it's a very easy model to fly, rock solid like it's on rails, you just have to look ahead. The Mustang will donate its parts 👍
Great Maiden Cliff ! I just ordered BAE HAWK ( Red Arrow ) you built. I intend to use an old Eachine 400mm Radio gear. Servos may need to move a bit but watch this space ( or my channel ) Keep up the great videos, a real inspiration !
You'll enjoy it I'm sure, it's an easy build and flies great, cheers
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Banggood just emailed, delay of stock should be here by June 4th ! I can't wait to get started.
Congratulations!
Thank you Guy 👍
Jumping Alligator’s that’s quick. ❤
I wanted to do a really fast downwind pass for the camera which I did on the third flight but alas I didn't record it 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes you need a camera man.
Or woman 🤔
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes or a mix of the two! I hear there are plenty around to choose from.🤔🤣
Congrats Cliff! You sound like you've got a bit of a sore throat--ginger lemon tea for your with honey and a speedy recovery!
Yes, thank you 👍🙂
Well done
Hi Doyle, thanks for watching hope for keeping well, cheers 🙂
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Flies briliantly Cliff. Fairly quick and really smooth. Are you using 4S?
Thanks Jim, yes, 4s 5000mah, a big battery, but it saves adding weight to ballast for cg 🙂
Just wondering whether the inability to turn tight was inherent in the Hawker Hunter design or is this EDF version a little heavy? Good job on the maiden. Going home with the ship in one piece after three flights is always good!
Thanks Chris, turns both ways equally well? Cheers 👍🙂
Great job cliff, your hunter looks great and goes very well ! Im sure your gonna get many hours of fun with it.
I Hope my hunter build flys aswell as yours.
Cheers
Dan
I hope so too Dan, Hunter's fly well I'm told 👍
Awesome!
Thank you Hayden! Cheers
Very nice Cliff! Well done. Could you tell me during the build what spray varnish/ lacquer you used ??. Got some decals on my educated I need to proof. Again, well done.!!
Hi Maurice, go to 16.28 time ruclips.net/video/4ow3_uXd8oU/видео.htmlsi=GVj3V8Oyvyzhnxos 👍
Do you have a spare 2 way switch on your tx so that you can programme in a launch mode with a couple of mm up elevator for hand launch or better still stick a simple gyro in like a Hobby Eagle A3v2 and put it in auto level for hand launch then knock it off once airborne. I find it takes the stress out of hand launching on a windy day . Having said that it will not make any difference if you hand launch and hit the throttle cut as your hand returns to the tx, though you only do that once as I can testify !!
Hi Paul, I have a lot of spare switches on my tx, not a bad idea, cheers 🙂👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes I put mine on the landing gear switch then mix in elevator up to either gear up or gear down to suit
👍👍👍
Thanks Jon 👍
I'm personally tired of people trying to fill these things with a cell phone that's a nice blue sky there's nothing in it… If you want to post aircraft just by a camera with a zoom lens. Cell phones do not work very well do they LOL
I agree Jeff however what you need to realise is it's impossible to film a model with a decent camera whilst both your hands are occupied flying an aeroplane let alone a fast one. I don't use a cell to film by the way. I zoom the video a little in post edit but you can only go so far before it pixelates. One last point, the maiden flight of any model is usually done at height, I pushed my luck bringing it as low as I did all for a couple of goodish fly pasts to entertain viewers. I hope this answer educates you a little, hopefully the next video will show the model in its best light 🤔👍
Yeah I'm not educated. I am a helicopter fixed wing RC specialist and Filmmaker So There is nothing here for education for me.… You definitely need another person if you can find someone. Because yes it is difficult to try to film and fly usually end up not so great results. But at least you understood that we are interested in your aircraft but so many RUclips videos it's just a bug walking across your screen or nothing at all. The videos of course I create are an adventure which is the opposite and I realize not everyone has the computers or software or even the experience to do that but too many people use a cell phone that just simply aren't up to the job. There's lots of cheap cameras that have zoom and maybe one day you can get someone. It seems like you can do a little bit of postproduction so that will be helpful anyway have a nice day I hope you have a lot of fun
Thanks Jeff, I do enjoy the editing but it does soak up a lot of time!
Cliff what an amazing Hawker Hunter. The Build was great and the maiden flights were epic. Well done sir. Zoom zoom zoom Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, all your zooming was the inspiration 🙂👍
Absolutely fabulous so much more fun than flying a lump of foam. The edf guys at the club tend to power "up" and and glide "down" increases the battery duration.
Thanks Mark, I can't do that, I fly gliders to relax, edf's for action 🙂👍
Beautiful Cliff. I must admit that I expected it to go well. Knowing how well Matts foamboard one flys.
Congratulations 🎊
Thanks Mike, she's a classic jet that and incredibly stable, cheers
Lovely build. I’ve got the 50mm version and launch it myself - the first few seconds are always a bit nerve wracking - excellent job by your launcher! He’s welcome at our club anytime! One thing I found with mine was that putting the ailerons on different channels and adding differential really helps on the turns. A little proverse yaw keeps the turns flat and reduces the risk of the banked stall you experienced. Mine does it too and it’s always a bit of a shock when it happens!
Thanks LM, I'll add some differential 👍
Great video Cliff
Thanks David 👍 Cliff by the way 🙂
Great maiden cliff it flys great 👍 buddy have a great weekend 👍 👍 cliff
Thanks Tunny, you too! 🙂👍
Looks great and flies great Cliff, a great job all around 😀👍
Thanks Ian, she flies super smooth, I love it 👍🙂
Very very well done mate, that was a great example of model EDF flying. That hunter flew very well indeed
Thanks a lot Steven, I'm glad I took the edf plunge, great fun 🙂👍
That flies very well. Very smooth and FAST!!!
Thanks Ron 🙂👍
Would have never expected to hear that it is easy to fly. It does look cool in the sky
Practically flies itself David, I just opened the throttle 😁👍
Wow what a beautiful looking model. Looks so smooth in the air.
Love it. Great job
Cheers Simon, I'm well pleased 😁👍
That must've been incredibly satisfying, Cliff! It flies so well... very stable and fast... and tough as old boots, too. No breaky foam nose for this Hunter. Smashing job with the maiden and +1 and +2 flights.
Absolutely Gina, to see it floating away from Cliff's, my launcher's, hand was most gratifying and I think it's going to be quite a tough model too as I you're Mossie will be too 👍🙂
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes I wonder if Tony Nijhuis keeps tabs on his creations on YT? 🤔
She’s a beut cliff and the second launch was better but great flight ✈️
Cheers Gazza 👍
That flies as good as it looks! Great work and nice flying. :)
Thanks Duncan 👍
Looks like you really need someone to launch it for you
Either that Paul or I get a launching ramp 👍
Very nice Cliff, I bet you are very pleased with that, I know i would be, And the finish on it looks great, Great video.
Thanks Darren, shame about Winnards 😫
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Yes, Hopefully somewhere else can be found for us.
Needs some rocket boosters for launch 😂
Now your talking 😁👍
Nice in the air. Can't beat a Hunter!
A classic indeed 👍🙂
Congratulations, Cliff, beautiful aircraft!
Thanks Frederic, I really didn't want to take home a bag of balsa 😁👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Couldn't think why... 🤔😄
Congratulations, she’s a beautiful plane !!
Very happy with her Dave 👍
You must be so chuffed Cliff, you are now a member of the Hawker Hunter club 😂. Couldn't have wished for a better maiden flight ! Very very well done ! ...
Hi Ray, thanks, do I get a shiney badge as well 😁👍
She flies well Cliff. very well indeed.
Thanks 👍
