I’m in Madrid from Miami and I have been feeling super safe on my trip. Police everywhere and lots of respectful people of all cultures and very welcoming. Miami is so toxic I’m not use to nice respectful people. Good luck if you visit Miami

Amazing palace built for the French Duke of Anjou, born in Versailles grand son of Louis the 14, whom became King of Spain Philippe V

But he didn't became King of Spain because he was the grand son of Louis the 14th of France but of his wife, María Teresa (Marie Thérese d'Autriche), the elder sister of Carlos II of Spain, who died with no heirs. BTW, Versailles was the French version of the Palacio del Buen Retiro, a royal palace build in 1634 that was destroyed during the Neapoleonic invasion in the early 19th century. Now only two pavillions remain, the Salón de Reinos and the Casón del Buen Retiro, and the Retiro park wich was part of the gardens.
